How do I recreate passwords after resetting phone?

How do I recreate passwords after resetting my iphone5?

Yep, that erases all saved WiFi passwords. Means you'll have to input them again when you join each network. There's no way to "just add them back", if that's what you're asking, nor can they be retrieved anywhere.

  • User must change password after reset?

I am looking at the password policy settings and am wondering what "User must change password after reset actually does. I turned it on. I tried changing some passwords in an ldap client and didnt get any messages or errors after authn again. And I didnt see a special attribute in the persons entry. Any clues?

When the flag is enabled and the password is changed by "cn=directory manager", the next time the user authenticate, the server returns the Password Expired Control (with a Success code) and all requests other than modify of userPassword are rejected.

    From your computer backup.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple recommends,  "... back up your iTunes library. • Email Password after reset, using PLSQL or Java

    Hi,
Through user management, users passwords can be reset and sent via email automatically.
Which database procedure behind the scene is used for this? I've created a script to automate user creation and I need a way to email the passwords to users and I think we can re use Oracle solution that emails the password after reset.
Pls let me know if you have any details of PLSQL/Java used to reset and email the password
    Thanks

Pls let me know if any one has any inputs on this.
    thanks

  • Yosemite server Profile manager how setup time for password after sleep

    Hi,
In Profile Manager in Setup & Privacy is possibility setup password after sleep, but I need setup time period. Is it possible? Because when I push this profile it prevent users to setup this period and when i remove this profile (whole payload for Security & Privacy) it still prevent users to change this two setting.

    Hi CodyCodes,
Just discovered the same issue today as well.  Further complicating things, the screensaver timeout setting in Login Window doesn't apply to Profile Manager clients no matter what the setting.  This was reproduced and confirmed by the Apple Tech I was working with.  He's submitted the bug to their engineering staff.  I requested that he ask them why there is no setting for password on sleep or screensaver.  Hopefully this is resolved soon, as this feature is 99% of the reason we're implementing Profile Manager to begin with.
    Cheers

  • HT4061 HOW I FIND MY PASSWORD FOR RESET

how i reset my iphone if i forgote my password

What password did you forget?  If you can't remember the lock screen password, you can restore it from the computer you normally sync with wihout having to enter it provided you have synced it since you set the passcode.
If you don't have access to that machine, you will need to put the phone in DFU mode and restore.
If you can't remember the restrictions passcode, you will have toput it in DFU mode and restore it as a new device. Do NOT restore your backup! The restrictions passcode is part of the backup.
If you can't remember your encrypted backup password, you're hosed. You can not restore from an encrypted backup without the password. You will need to set it up as new and start from scratch.

  • Not able to Use it after resetting phone to its factory setting !!

My brother bought an Iphone 4s from his friend. We did reset in order to remove his friend's accounts and everything phone had in it. What happened is we're not able login as It turned out FindMyIphone app was installed and nobody knows the login details including his friend It's been 3 days and I can't see my little brother's sad face. Anyone ?

If the iPhone has Activation Lock - that is, it's asking for the previous owner's Apple ID and password to activate the device - then you will need that information, or you'll need to get the previous owner to remove the device from his/her iCloud account:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/PH2702
If your brother's "friend" has forgotten his Apple ID and password, the "friend" will have to recover it, either by this web page:
    https://iforgot.apple.com
or by calling Apple Support and asking to speak with Account Security.
If this "friend" is unable or unwilling to recover his Apple ID so as to be able to clear Activation Lock, then the device is unusable. Your brother should return the iPhone to this "friend" and get his money back.
    Regards.

  • IMessage won't reactivate after resetting phone

Ok, so my phone and I had a bit of an adventure today. I left it at a restaurant by mistake and located it with Find My iPhone, and remotely erased the device (could've just locked it, but I was extremely anxious about the fate of my phone at the time). Once I got it back, I restored it with a backup, everything went normally, etc etc.
Except that now, iMessage & FaceTime are stuck on "Waiting for activation..." and when I tap the "Use your Apple ID for iMessage option" and enter my Apple ID/password, I get an error saying that my phone couldn't connect and to check network settings and try again. For clarification: I had to enter my ID info about a half-dozen times in the restoring process, and to log in to this website, so I know the password is correct. I have full wifi & 3G reception (have tried logging in on both), and email, Safari, social media apps - everything else I can think of - is working perfectly fine. This is driving me nuts. I tried restoring the phone one more time, turning airplane mode on/off, everything Google could offer me as a solution, and I've still got nothing. Any help is greatly appreciated, as I don't feel Apple really deserves $29.99 to help me fix a problem that I'm pretty sure isn't my fault.
Oh: And my software is up to date.

Here I am to save the day mf1831! Let's get your iMessage working. May I ask are you logged into your iPhone 5s with your Apple ID? If not then simply go to Settings > iTunes & App Store. Also, go to iCloud in Settings to ensure that you are logged in there as well. Once you are logged in go to Messages and verify that iMessage is turned on. Also, please verify the Send & Receive info under Messages to ensure that both your mobile number and Apple ID is checked under "You Can Be Reached By iMessage At". Please let us know the results after you have peformed these steps.

  • How to Recover Roboform Passwords after Reloading

    Good day,
I've had my Pavillion dv4-2164us Entertainment Notebook with Windows 7 for about a year.
Yesterday, my laptop would turn on, but Windows wouldn't start and so I did a system recovery performance. Before that, I backed up all files into a DVD+R (checked all the boxes shown for backing up files). After all done, I reloaded all files back into my laptop, however couldn't find my Roboform which housed all my ID and Passwords. How do I find it?
    Thank you.
PS: Also, how do I find my bookmarked pages?
    Regards,
    Ken

I'm pretty sure that Roboform's default folder is "My Roboform Data" under your My Documents folder. If you backed up your My Documents folder it should be there.
You may also want to search on " *.rfp " on your backup DVD to see if it finds your logins (not sure what extension the ID files are).

  • How to prevent user password being reset to the same password?

    Hi,
As you all know, domain admin has the power to reset user password.  Let's think of the following scenario:
if an admin lets a user reset his password to use the same string, this action means he could nullify company policy on password which requires user's last N passwords being recorded in the history.
We could very well imagine that the admin reset his own personal password in order to bypass company policy.
I have asked partner forum to see if there's a way to prevent such thing, but the reply I got is "No".
I wanted to know if anyone of you have any idea to prevent such thing from happening?
Or if it's possible to get the hash value of users past N password to see if he's always using the same password?
Thanks in advance for your ideas.

Good rules is better alternative to complex policy.
Combine password history with time interval between changes.

    Enforce password history
The Enforce password history policy setting determines the number of unique new passwords that must be associated with  a
user account before an old password can be reused .
The possible values for this Group Policy setting are:
    A user-defined number from 0 through 24.
    Not defined.
    Discussion
Password reuse is an important concern in any organization. Many users want to reuse the same password for their account over a long period of time. The longer the same password is used for
a particular account, the greater the chance that an attacker will be able to determine the password through brute force attacks. If users are required to change their password, but nothing prevents them from using the old password or continually reusing a
small number of passwords, the effectiveness of a good password policy is greatly reduced.
Specifying a low number for Enforce password history allows users to continually use the same small number of passwords repeatedly. If you do not also set Minimum
password age, users can change their password as many times in a row as necessary in order to reuse their original password.
If you set Enforce password history to a number greater than zero, users must come up with a new password every time they are required to change their old one. This
improves security, but it can increase the risk that users will write down their passwords so they do not forget them.
If you set the value to the maximum of 24, it helps to ensure that vulnerabilities caused by password reuse are kept to a minimum.
For this policy setting to be effective in your organization, configure Minimum password age so that you do not allow passwords to be changed immediately. Enforce
password history should be set at the level that combines a reasonable maximum password age with a reasonable password change interval requirement for users.

  • How to enter my password after replacing keyboard batteries

I have just replaced the batteries in my keyboard (first time I've done this). The Mac was asleep and needs a password to wake up, but the keyboard "pairing needed" light is flashing and I cannot enter the password as the keyboard cannot transmit to the machine! How do I get round this, please? Thank you for any suggestions.

I'm not an iMac owner yet, but as you say the unit is asleep, I would do a hard shut down and then re-start. By hard shut down I mean press and hold the start button a few seconds until it shuts off. It may then recognize the keyboard.

  • My ipod touch asking me for a password after reset setting

hi, i need help with my ipod i reset the setting and now need a password that i don't have it, can you tell me what i can do? is an ipod touch 2G

Are you referring to the screen lock passcode? If so, you'll need to connect it to the iTunes library you normally sync it with and restore it.  If iTunes asks you for this passcode before it will let you proceed, connect the iPod to iTunes in recovery mode instead using the instructions in this Apple support document.
iOS: Unable to update or restore
If it's not the screen lock passcode, please clarify.
