How do i regenerate ALL previews in Aperture 3?

I am trying to cleen up an downsize my library with 15 000 photos. I have been reading about previews, and I can see that my default setting on new previews are "half size". I capture my images on a 16mpx camera in RAW format. Do I really need my previews to be half size on my 15" macbook pro?
I am thinking that it would be a good idea if my previews had the same size as the pixels on my screen, 1440. That is why I want to delete ALL of my old previews and make new in 1440.
What do you think, is this a good idea to downsize my library? Is there any way for me to do this easily?

Changing to a smaller size Preview might shrink your Library a bit. Sooner or later, you will want to move some of your Originals to an external (or other non-system) drive. When you are ready for that, look into the difference between Managed Originals and Referenced Originals.
Either way, having Previews set to the size you use is a good idea. Full instructions for deleting and creating Previews are on this page in the User Manual. It's as easy as selecting all your Images, deleting the current Previews, and generating new ones.

Wait, until MacOS X 10.10.3 has been released his spring. The Photo.app for Mac, that will come with MacOS X 10.10.3 will make it possible to migrate an Aperture library to a Photos Library and store it in iCloud, so you can use it from all your devices, see this link: Apple - OS X - Photos Preview
But Aperture libraries cannot by stored in a cloud storage. An Aperture library needs to be on a locally mounted drive, because aperture does not support remote access to the library. If you try to move your Aperture library to a Dropbox or on iCloud Drive, it will be corrupted by the network access.

Previews from Aperture in "All my files"

I reinstalled system (10.7.2) and now previews from Aperture library can be seen in "All my files".
Does anybody know how to fix it?

Because iPhoto (and I imagine Lightroom) makes copies of the photos you edit so you can always revert back to the original. All My Files searches for all files, regardless if the are duplicates.

How does the quality of Previews effect slideshow performance?

Does anybody know how Aperture uses the Image Previews in a slideshow? The default image preview is half size and medium quality. Does this mean Aperture has to generate full size previews on-the-fly during the show?
If I changed to full-size previews at high quality am I helping Aperture display the images during a slidshow, or not?
Maybe Aperture doesn't use the previews at all during a slideshow and making a few hundred full-size previews would only be filling up my hard drive for no useful purpose.

Aperture renders preview images in four situations:
When a library is upgraded—provided that the “Create previews for existing images” checkbox is selected in the Welcome to Aperture dialog

(Fifth futile attempt in two hours, before I learned there was a Post webpage – I’m new to ApSuppCom - and after I learned that I am not allowed to update previous content, so I had to back out, make a few changes, and start over.) How can I export slideshows created in Aperture v3.3.2 (complete with superimposed captions and music tracks) from Mid-2009 MacBook Pro-17 to blank DVDs ? Always with the DVD Video Player final message reading, “Supported disc not available.” Advisors and Mac Geniuses at local Apple Stores have told me to try Roxio Toast. When I visited the Roxio website, and found numerous other company products, the descriptions all seemed to suggest that most of the apps shown can easily export videos to DVDs, but nothing was said about finished digital slide shows being exported. Aperture cannot burn slideshows to a DVD. It only can export a video of your slideshow.
In Aperture 3 you use the "Export" button in Aperture's slideshow project to render a video to a folder on your disk.
Then you use iDVD or another program to burn a video DVD.
I cannot do a copy (export) without various error messages appearing and the inevitable stoppage occurring. Always with the DVD Video Player final message reading, “Supported disc not available.”
Could you please describe the exact steps that are causing these error messages?
How are you exporting your slideshow from Aperture? Which settings are you using? And how are you importing the video to iDVD or Toast to burn a video DVD?

Iam not absolutely clear what you have done.
If you manually deleted duplicate files or moved them, you library will have lot of tracks with exclamation marks.
These can be removed, either by collecting them in a playlist and deleting them from there, or with a script.
Using a playlist to collect dead tracks.
Create new regular playlist – Playlist1
Select whole library and drag to Playlist1
Create new Smart Playlist with the rule: Playlist is not Playlist1
Live updating checked – after you run it, uncheck live updating or you may not be able to delete tracks.
This playlist should contain all the dead tracks

The simplest method if you don't care about playlists and counts etc is to start a new library.
Close iTunes and drag iTunes Library.itl and iTunes Music Library.xml out of the iTunes folder to the desktop.
Start iTunes and an empty library is created. You can now add your music folder with File>>Add folder to library.

Do you have signed up for enough iCloud storage, that all your documents will fit?
Make a current backup of your Mac, before you move the documents over.
Do you want to move your documents to the app-specific folders - Preview, Pages, etc, or do yu want to create your own folder hierarchy?
In the app specific folders yo can only have one level of nested sub folders, so you will have to move the documents in small groups. But outside these folders you could create a new folder iCloudHome and drag complete folders from your Home folder over.
Be careful not to try to upload more files than your iCloud Storage permits. I would not try to upload too many files at once. You cannot work with the files, while they are uploading.

How can I get all of my images to appear when exporting from InDesign (CS2) to a pdf?

Many of my images are disappearing when I try to convert them. I had this same problem last year, but I would just replace the picture (which was a huge pain because there are 24 images per page) and then eventually after a few attempts they would all show up. Any ideas what the problem is?

OS = Operating System for your computer (and the version of the operatiing system, please, like Windows 7 x-64 or Mac OS X 10.8.3).
Patch level is which updates you have installed for your version of ID. CS6 is version 8, and the latest patch is 8.0.1. If you don't know, once you tell us the OS we can tell you how to find out.
Preview mode is accessed from a button at the bottom of the Toolbox, from the View menu, or by pressing W when the text tool is not active. It makes the pasteboard disappear, along with non-printing objects.

How do I view folders in the aperture library. If I look in my pictures I have the applibrary there but can't access it. If I click on it it opens Aperture and I can't find a way to find the info throught aperture either.

You can browse the contents of your Aperture Library from the Finder, but better do not change anything inside.
To look inside the Aperture Library package
Reveal the package in the Finder,
right-click or ctrl-click it and select "Show Package Contents" from the pop-up menu.
You will see a folder with subfolders containing the masters, previews, and thumbnails.
The iLife Applications will let you browse the Aperture Library through the MediaBrowser, that is much safer.

P.S. If your Aperture Library is referenced, not managed, you can view the master image files by selecting the image in Aperture in the Browser or film strip, ctrl-clicking it and selecting "Show in Finder".

I am using Aperture Version 3.4.3 and 9.4.2. I downloaded the Duplicate Annihilator but it gives me an error message that says this:
I have no idea what that is all about since I am using this library in iPhoto and Aperture. I already sent the company an email asking about the problem.
I am seeing dupes that came from my original photos in iPhoto and from iPhoto PhotoStreams with monthly dates; these are listed in my Apertrure Projects listing. Is there a way to SAFELY dump these dupes?

I'm not sure if your are talking about Technical Business Content. If so it seems you have to re-activate it from Business Content.

Not all of my Aperture videos are available in iMovie. What's the fix?

I'm using iMovie and Aperture. I'd like to consolidate all of my videos in iMovie, but for some reason, not all of my Aperture videos appear in iMovie.
Does anyone know how to fix this?

You shouldn't have to change your iTunes account to not have to purchase it twice. If your devices are using different iTunes IDs, just purchase it on one device, then import it to your iTunes library by connecting the device to your computer, opening iTunes and going to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. Once in iTunes, you should be able to sync it to your other device (assuming both devices are syncing with the same iTunes library). (And even if they were syncing with separate libraries, you could use Home Sharing to copy the app from one library to the other.)

What is your MacOS X version? Is your Aperture version the recent Aperture 3.5.1? Your profile signature "Mac OS 9.1.x? " cannot be right; do you mean Mac OS 10.9.1.x? And is the system the same on both Macs?
If you bought Aperture from the AppStore, launch the AppStore on your MBP:
Sign into the AppStore with the AppleID you used to buy Aperture on your iMac.
Download Aperture from the "Purchased" tab and let it install.
If you bought Aperture as a boxed retail version, use the Installer CD/DVD and serial number to install Aperture on your MBP.
If you bought Aperture online as a trial version, and bought a serial number to unlock the trial, use the trial installer you downloaded.
If you no longer should have the installation media or the downloaded trial installer, you can convert your working Aperture installation to an AppStore licence by upgrading your iMac version to Aperture 3.5.1. Then you can install and reinstall from the AppStore on all your Macs, if they are running Mavericks.
