How do I reinstall a purchased app?

I had a disk problem that has now been resolved. One of the consequences of the problem is a damaged DupeZap. Execute DupeZap on my machine and DupeZap says it is damaged and to reinstall. Go to MAS to reinstall and MAS thinks everything is fine. The vendor says go to MAS to resolve.
Does anyone have any insight on how to resolve this chicken or the egg scenario?

Sorry, but you can't permanently delete an app. You can hide them:

but the app will still sync to your computer if the app is present on the iPad. If the apps are downloading directly to your computer and hiding doesn't do the job, you'll need to turn off automatic downloading.

You have been mislead. Other users report that what you have been told by the Hack is not true. The apps will appear to have disappeared, but if you try to update an app at first the MAS will appear to be selling you the app, but if you continue, as if to buy the app, the MAS will realize that you previously purchased the app and download it for free. You can set up an iCloud account on each one (the SAME iCloud account using the same AppleID on each) and then sync via iCloud.

However, an iCloud backup nor sync contains purchased content - that is available for redownload from the iTunes and App stores (so no need to waste iCloud space storing it for you).
So, for purchased content, you will have to download it on each device - just use the same AppleID and download each item on each device.
Without a computer to aid the sync'ing, downloading the purchased content on each device is the only way.
P.S audiobooks cannot be re-downloaded once purchased (all other content can be), so without a computer to save, store and move the audiobook files around, you will only be able to put those on one device - the one you first purchase it on.

If you are running iTunes 11 and if you didn't figure this out yet, when you launch iTunes - go to View>Show Sidebar from the menu at the top of the screen. Once you can see the sidebar, iTunes looks so much more familiar.
The "new look" iTunes doesn't appeal all that much to me, I just want the functionality that I have always had. It's still there, its just been hidden with a lot of fluff and visual wow that I really don't care about .... Just my opinion.

A good example is if you are forced to change your email, which you use as your Apple ID. what if it is a security app and you lose a lot of data if you lose the app? Why are the apps tied to the Apple ID rather than the user? Why is it impossible to globally change the Apple I D?

All content is tied to the account, but you can change the primary email address on an account e.g. you can log into your account via the Store > View Account on your computer's iTunes and there should be an Edit button to the right of your account id on your account's page, or similarly on your iPad try tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and view your account. Or you can update it by logging into it via this page http://appleid.apple.com . You shouldn't lose any content on the account if you update it.
After updating the account you may need to log out of your iPad by tapping on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and then log back in with the updated version for it to be 'refreshed' on it

This is a mystery. Both YouTube apps have different icons so they're not duplicates.
One is a picture of an old fashioned television and the other is the YouTube logo.
The old fashioned TV was able to be disabled in the ipod settings so that must be the one that belongs.
I'm pretty sure the other one also came with the unit.
Maybe I should start a thread?

An app is considered to be installed if it shows up in a Spotlight search of local volumes. Bring up a search window in the Finder by pressing the key combination command-F. Search This Mac for the name of the application. Delete all copies that are found.

If you've found them in Spotlight, where are they? (hover over the app you found in the Spotlight list to see its path in a tooltip, or click Show All, then hover over the name of the app and see the path at the bottom of the window).
Once you open that location in the Finder, you should be able to drag them back to the Applications folder.
