How do I reinstall Dreamweaver CS5?

I currently run Dreamweaver CS5 and have to reinstall it. In the past I could go to the Adobe web site and simply reinstall from that site. I need to know where I go to reinstall the CS5 version?

With all of your computers stolen you cannot reinstall anything.
What specifically is your problem? Do you own the discs or do you need to download? Do you need to get your serial number for CS5? Do you need to have someone deactivate your software for the stolen machines?

Suggestions for reinstalling Dreamweaver CS5 on Yosemite without error message?

I recently uninstalled my Dreamweaver CS5 because it wasn’t working properly after upgrading to Yosemite. It would start up and then freeze so I would have to Force Quit. I am trying to reinstall it but I keep getting an error message. I’ve looked at the following articles to try to get it to work. I’ve tried installing in a different folder than the Applications folder, renaming the ‘Adobe’ folder in the Applications folder and changing read and write info. I looked at the log files and I was getting the DW063 and the DF037 errors.

There’s something that I’m missing and I would greatly appreciate any help. I'm guessing when I did the uninstall through the uninstall in the Dreamweaver folder that it missed something on the uninstall.

I sent my computer to have the shift key replaced, and the repairers managed to wipe all my drives. I want to reinstall dreamweaver CS4, but when I seem to have lost my CD. I have the serial number on the case. Is there any way I can retrieve the software without the CD? Also, I did install Dreamweaver on my small portable laptop - perhaps there is a way I can transfer that copy back onto my big PC?
Any help greatly appreciated.

That was my point....
Unfortunately you missed the point that regardless of the reason why the computer was sent to facility for repair the repair facility assumes no liability for lost files and you agree to that in writing upon delivering the item to the repair facility.
I believe John's point (not yours) is that the files on the hard drive may have been compromised *before* sending the computer to the repair facility to repair the supposed faulty shift key and now you and OP are trying to blame repair facility for files that may have been lost before the computer was sent to the repair facility. Your point was that is was inexcusable and that OP should consider legal action, not that the files may have been compromised beforehand or that it's unclear of how the files were lost. Perhaps if you were more clear in describing your point the first time then your point would of been more clearly understood. What you're calling a point I call a backpedal in this scenario. Your original post made no point of unclarity of how the hard drive files were lost.

How can I download dreamweaver Cs5.5 onto a new computer

I bought dreamweaver Cs5.5 education edition a couple years ago for windows. I now want to download it to a new laptop because the computer it was originally on stopped working. Also my new laptop doesn't have a disk drive so i'm not sure how to download it without the disk drive.

How can I install Dreamweaver CS5.5 using my serial number? I only see the trial download for CS6.

My company bought CS5.5 Creative Suite, and one of my coworkers used our license for Dreamweaver on his computer. Now he has left the company, and I would like to install the license on my computer so I can use it from my station.
When we installed the software on his computer, we simply downloaded the trial version and then entered our serial number. However, now I can only find the download for CS6, and putting my serial number in there for CS5.5 does not magically download that version for me, unfortunately.
Does anyone know how I can install the license on my computer? I thought it would be allowed to have it on two computers, just only one computer would be able to access the software at a time. I just need to figure out how to install it...

I talked to Adobe staff, and apparently I needed to use the Adobe licensing website, licensing.adobe.com. I'll need to talk to my IT department, who bought the software, to get the account information for the site, but I'm on the way to success!

Adobe does not sell older versions of their software. If you wish to buy an older version you will have to find some third party vendor and take your chances.

I heard you can download Dreamweaver on 2 computers, but I can't figure out how.

The only caveat is that the serial number is platform specific: 2 x Macs or 2 x Windows.
You cannot use a Mac serial number to install on Windows, and vice versa.

If the error message you are getting is a javascript error, it will be much less touble to fix that than to reinstall DW.

1) Antivirus software working in the back end that could the installer to interrupt the installation procedure.

Can Dreamweaver CS5 connect to MySQL via ODBC?

I am unable to make a direct connection to an external MySQL database because most hosting provider does not allow this type of connection due to security reasons. I am however able to make an ODBC connection to the database (which I am currently using to connect filemaker to our MySQL database).
How can I tell Dreamweaver CS5 to connect via the ODBC driver so I can see the MySQL content in my Dreamweaver project?
I am on a Mac running OS X 10.6.4.

You can't - at least not if you want to use Dreamweaver's server behaviors. Dreamweaver uses the original PHP MySQL extension. If you want to connect in any other way, you need to hand code everything yourself.
On the other hand, if you want to see the contents of your remote database in Dreamweaver, define your remote server as the testing server. Dreamweaver uploads a hidden folder to the remote server to connect to the database. Because the script is on your remote server, it's local to the MySQL database, so gets round the security issue. It then sends the details to your local computer.

How can I change Dreamweaver CS5 preferences so that it doesn't automattically add <p> tags when I hit "Enter"? And please don't tell me <p> tags are important and I should just style them differently with CSS.

Like I said, I didn't want to get into a discussion of the merits of Dreamweaver Code view versus NotePad++. I like them both for different reasons, and use both on a regular basis. Though Notepad++ is a lot more customisable.

Although dissapointed and suprised that Adobe wouldn't give you the option of turning it off. I can't help to think that maybe this feature is somewhere in some of the editable Dreamweaver source files, but I think we'd need an Adobe expert to tell us how to hack it. Though it sounds like I am one of thefew that really cares to change it.
And please, don't anyone start lecturing me on the virtues of using the <p> tag. I use it often. I just don't like it forced upon me. (I know, I know --- work in code view.) LOL
