If you didn't back up the library but have content on an iPod, iPhone, or iPad, see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

HOw do i reinstall itunes after a hard drive crash
Experienced a hard drive crash on my computer. I have no backup of iTunes. HOw can a reinstall Itunes and retrieve my purchases?
You can download and install iTunes from here www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you are in the US, and the music is still available in the store and you use the same iTunes account as you originally used to purchase them, then you should be able to re-download your music purchases for free : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2519
If you are not in the US then there is currently no re-download option, so you would need to copy a backup onto the computer -

Download and installation help for Adobe links
Download and installation help for Prodesigntools links are listed on most linked pages. They are critical; especially steps 1, 2 and 3. If you click a link that does not have those steps listed, open a second window using the Lightroom 3 link to see those 'Important Instructions'. -

How do I reinstall iTunes 11.1.4 and Quicktime to Windows 7 PC?
I have noticed a fair number of users being unable to reinstall 11.1.4 by iTunes after deinstalling due to errors from the update. I have attempted to reinstall several times but the download installation never shows up on the desktop even though the welcome comment from the manufacturer thanks me for installing the product.
How do I reinstall iTunes and Quicktime and actually get the product back to my PC for use? I am using Windows 7 and have been a supporter of the iTunes for several years and would appreciate being a happy customer again! Thank you.I have attempted to reinstall several times but the download installation never shows up on the desktop even though the welcome comment from the manufacturer thanks me for installing the product.
Try downloading an installer from the Apple website using a different web browser:
http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/
If you use Firefox instead of IE for the download (or vice versa), do you get a working installer? -
I received notification of ANOTHER iTunes update being available, so I attempted to install the update on my Toshiba Satellite laptop running Windows Vista. During the update process, two pop-up announced that I had a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" Runtime Error, R6034 and another pop-up that states "iTunes" iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes. However, I cannot open iTunes. I get the same pop-up telling me to reinstall iTunes.
I had many songs in my iTunes library that came from sources other than iTunes, mostly my own CDs. Plus, I have nearly $100 credit remaining in the iTunes store. I'm converned I will lose the songs and store credit if I reinstall iTunes. So my questions are:
1. How can I reinstall iTunes?
2. If I reinstall it, will I lose my store credit and non-iTunes songs?
Thanks,

Nothing should be lost... However... it is both Prudent and Recommended that a backup should have been created and maintained. -
I had to reinstall my Itunes account and after installing received this error: This application has failed to start because MSVCR80.dll was not found. Reinstalling the application may fix the problem.
The other error message that displayed after I tried to reinstall it was "Itunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall Itunes Error 7 (Windows error 126).
Any assistance with correcting this matter is greatly appreciated. My ipod is fine, I just need to reinstall Itunes on my computer.
Thanks,There has been a lot of that lately, try following the instructions of tt2 in https://discussions.apple.com/thread/5822086 to fix it.

I am using win vista and have installed itunes for my ipod shuffle four years back. now I have purchased iphone 4, and trying to reinstall itunes after uninstalling my earlier itunes i always get a message that error in installation. kindly help
You might find this article helpful: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3694
It has the error range of 3000's which states
Errors 3000-3999 (3002, 3004, 3013, 3014, 3018, 3164, 3194, and so on): Error codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, an old version of iTunes is installed, an entry in your hosts file redirecting requests to gs.apple.com (see error 1004 above), or because of your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try without using one or with a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues. Error 3014 may indicate that you need to free up more disk space on the computer before trying to restore again. Error 3194 most likely indicates you do not have the latest version of iTunes installed Update to the latest version of iTunes. -
I had some problems with ITunes and had to uninstall but now when I reinstall iTunes after I click on download iTunes and save the File, I get this message"Thank you for downloading iTunes" and nothing else happens. I don't see any thing else. Now not sure what else I have to do.
Thanks,

when I install the program, all go good but when i open the program, it say: iTunes was not installed correctly, Please reinstall Itunes Error 7 (windows 193), After i do this but the same
Howdy Allux345.
After multiple installations of iTunes it can be frustrating when the issue isnt resolved. I was able to locate the following knowledge base article that specifically addresses the "Error 7" you are recieving.
iTunes for Windows: "Error 7" message when opening iTunes
http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3074
The Resolution section has different steps depending on what version of the Windows Operating System you're using. Since it can be a bad installation of these Windows files, pay close attention to the instructions on repairing if the file already exhists.
Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities with your question.
Cheers,

How can I download itunes from my windows vista to my ipod original?
How can I download itunes from my windows vista to my ipod classic?
If you want to add songs from iTunes to the iPod, plug it into the computer, select the iPod in iTunes and click the tabs across top to select what you want on the iPod.

I have the same problem as many other users: updated iTunes on Windows 7 on Jan 26, 2014 and iTunes does not open. First message "unable to locate component- MSVCR80.dll was not found" then "iTunes was not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes - Error 7 (Windows error 126)". When will Apple fix this? Don’t feel like uninstalling all Apple software and then re-installing it as suggested, as I am on a terribly slow internet connection while travelling in the DR Congo.
Go to Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs (Win XP) or Programs and Features (later)
Remove all of these items in the following order:
iTunes
Apple Software Update
Apple Mobile Device Support (if this won't uninstall press on)
Bonjour
Apple Application Support
Reboot, download iTunes, then reinstall, either using an account with administrative rights, or right-clicking the downloaded installer and selecting Run as Administrator.
The uninstall and reinstall process will preserve your iTunes library and settings, but ideally you would back up the library and your other important personal documents and data on a regular basis. See this user tip for a suggested technique.
Please note:
Some users may need to follow all the steps in whichever of the following support documents applies to their system. These include some additional manual file and folder deletions not mentioned above.

My iPod and iPhone are not recognized in Windows 7 iTunes. I've reinstalled iTunes and restarted windows. Now iPod briefly displays, then device manager mass storage shows a yellow exclamation point. iPhone doesn't display in iTunes at all. Please advise
Try Andrei Cerbu's post here, JF Fourie's post here, or see TS1538: iOS: Device not recognized in iTunes for Windows, in particular section 5, forcing a driver update. See also TS1363: iPod: Appears in Windows but not in iTunes.

How do I tell itunes on a Windows XP PC to start downloading new songs to my external drive ? The whole library has already been moved. I am just one final step away. Everything I`m downloading still lands on C: Relaunching itunes while pressing "shift" and then getting prompted to choose library might work for a Mac, it doesn't for Windows.
In iTunes click on 'Edit', then 'Preferances', Click on the 'Advanced' button, change the entry in the 'iTunes media folder location' to point to your external drive.
