There are no upgrades for Student and Teacher Editions. You can continue to use the version you are using, or you can buy CS6 with no special upgrade price, or subscribe to Creative Cloud. However, I believe if you still qualify, you're offered a discount on Creative Cloud.

How do I reinstall Photoshop CS6 on OS Lion (Mac)

Being subscribed to Adobe Creative Cloud I finally decided to uninstall my redundant copies of CS
Since doing this, When I launch Photoshop CS6 I get the following dialog window:
"One or more files in the Adobe Application Support folder, necessary for running Photoshop, are missing. Please run the Photoshop installer and re-install Photoshop."
Here is the problem.
I do not see any way to uninstall any of the CS6 programs other than of course teh CS6 individual program uninstallers. I would use that for Photoshop, however, because I uninstalled Adobe Acrobat X Pro (it was crashing each time a PDF was opened) using the uninstaller... I have not been able to reinstall Acrobat X - teh Adobe Ap mangaer tells me it is already installed.
I NEED photoshop to be available since I use it daily for work. If I uninstall it as I did Acrobat - there is no way to reinstall (since Adobe Ap Manger does not give an option for reinstall - only the grayed out "installed" indicator)
I have deactivated Photoshop CS6 - closed it, relaunched it and it seems to have reautheticated ... but that message to uninstall and reinstall continues at start up.
By the way - Photoshop works fine... it is just an annoying startup message. Regardless... it is an annoyance I would prefer not happen.

Thanks CollinVa ! I ended up in a chat support and found a resolution which i will post in the other Adobe forums in case others run into the same difficulty.
On the Mac, in the applications folder are CS6 apps downloaded from Creative Cloud, and inside each products folder is that products uninstaller. That is the uninstaller I used the first time to remove Acrobat X Pro.
After removal by that means, Acrobat Application Manager was still verifying that my removed app was still installed. There was no way to reinstall (Acrobat).
What I was told by the chat tech was to got to Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers Which is from where he recomended I do all my uninstalls.
So, from there I clicked on Acrobat X Pro and followed the screen instructions.
When I then launched Adobe Application Manager, teh Install button next to Acrobat was active and I was able to reinstall Acrobat.
I followed suit with Photoshop CS6, removing it from the Applications > Utilities > Adobe Installers folder. Then launched AAM and the install next to Photoshop was available. I downloaded it and intalled ... everything is working fine.

Whenever I click on the set-up. exe and it goes to initializing installation window, halfway through that it pops up Adobe detects that this is a counterfeit program and the only button left is Quit.

Lion Server: How can I enable directory listing for the Web Server?

The functionality was part of the Server App in Lion Server but was not included in Lion. Can anyone shed some light on how to enable Directory Listing. Any help is appreciated!

Go to /etc/apache2 and edit the file 000_any_80_.conf
using sudo nano command and replace "-Indexes" with "+Indexes".
Restart Apache with "sudo apachecrl restart"

only cs6, cc and cc 2014 are available via adobe.

you can download and save the installation files (and your serial number) so you can reinstall. (though adobe currently allows even users of very old software to continue to download installation files.)

In theory you should be able to just pick your PC version during the purchase process and indicate that you want a Mac upgrade, but in teh mess surrounding the CC release and CS6 becoming second classed, it may indeed be necessary to order by phone.

Problems with PSE 10 when saving for the web.

I'm having problems saving for web with PSE 10. I edit in RAW, edit in PSE 10, save as Jpeg, resize and save for the web. Results are muddled and not sharp (looks cartoonish). Also, there is no metadata when you look at the image properties. I uninstalled the program and installed again. No change.

Are you resizing the photo before save for web?
What settings are you using in the save for web dialog for the jpeg quality?
If you compress the jpeg too much (low quality settings below 60), that can make your photos look bad.
And save for the web in pse 10 automatically strips any metadata in order to keep the file sizes smaller.
Also, the save for web in pse 10 has a bad habit of not remembering your last used settings, so it's good to verify that your actually set to jpeg instead of the default GIF setting.

I purchased Adobe Creative Suite 5 Design Premium Student and Teacher Edition as a University staff member. I recently had a HDD failure and have had to reinstall all my software. I managed to find CS5 Design Premium and downloaded and installed it but although it accepted my password I know find it does not include Adobe Acrobat Pro. This is essential to my work. Is there anyway I can add this to the package or is there somewhere I can download the correct Student and Teacher package?

It means what it says. The "computer person" formatted it wrongly/ unsuitably. it needs to be formatted again.
