How do I relink my video files when the source files are located in an AVCHD folder structure?

I am using FCP X 10.1.1 and I was completely done with editing a simple multicam video for a choir track and when I was exporting it it failed. I re-opened FCPX and found that there are several missing files, when I had just been working with them just a second ago! I know about relinking video files, but when I try to locate the source files (knowing where they are), the browser will not let me select ACHD file contents to get at the video files. Also, I cannot open the Library file for my project either.

If it comes down to it, use clip wrap to carve your .mov files out of the SD. I am confused tho - if you were originally able to import all you needed and still have the original media ? Why can't you do it again to add other clips? To "get in" to your Library, control click on it>show paskage... but do NOT MOVE anything only copy.
Perhaps soeone else can shed light on this?

I can't decipher where (and why) the program is putting the HDR image in the grid. I stack all of my HDR source images so they are easy to track and manage. Other apps/plugins allow you to stack resulting images with their source image. That would be great if there's a way to set that in LR preferences.

Thanks, but this doesn't really answer the question about stacking the HDR file with the source files. Yes, it does put the file in the same folder, however many of my folders have 100s of images (that often look similar) and as far as I can tell, LR places them randomly in the sort order. It doesn't appear to put them at the beginning or end of the sort (usually by date), but somewhere randomly in the middle. Even if it could be made clear what method it is using to sort them, that would help locate one file among hundreds.
Ideally, however it should allow you to stack with the stacked source files. Is there anyway to do this? If not, is it a feature that could be requested?

How to close a jmf rtp session when the whole file is sent

i am using jmf to Stream a video file from a one client to another, everything seems to be working fine except for the fact that i dont know how to close the prosessor and the session/datasink on the transmitting clients side when the clientis done streaming, i can close it lets say after 60 seconds of starting but i am not able to figure out how make it stop when the whole file is done streaming. i tried using the datasinklistner while sending the video and the following code

You could always write a custom DataSource that just passes through the input of a normal data source, and then generate the EndOfStream event yourself... maybe based on a timeout or failure counter? I haven't received any data in x seconds or after x attempts, so I'm assuming the file is done... Or when you've read enough data that the file can't possibly have any more (read >= file header + file data)...

Cannot print a pdf file when the pdf file is opened in another window

Running FF8.0 I cannot print a pdf file when the file is contained in a separate window opened by the appl (not just another tab). Options -> options -> applications all point to Use Adobe Applications in Firefox. I've had this problem in 7.0, 6.0, etc but I believe I was finally able to print these external browser/adobe windows somehow. Printing a pdf file shouldn't be that tough. When I run into this situation, file can be printed from the external window by IE.

Check the document properties (Security) for this file in Adobe Reader; perhaps printing is not allowed?

How to display a message in dashboard when the source is not available

Hi,
I had a requirement to display a custom message in the dashboard instead of showing the default error message like "Client commands are disabled by administrator" when the source is unavailble for the reports. I'm using Essbase as the source and when the cube is loaded, i have to dispaly the custom message and to hide all the reports in the dashboard, any suggestions are highly appreciated and will be highly helpful to me.

i believe you can manage it in 3 ways.
1.you can make groups in order each one be able to "see" its own report..and so on...
2.In the results section , there is a format other views-->No result, you can try it.
3.There is a configuration in///....\OracleBI\web\msgdb\**your nls**\messages such as commmesages.xml and other , where you can handle your "error" report

Manipulate a object serialized file when the .class file is missing

I want to know if it is possible to recovery the object when its class file is missing! I guess it needs to manipulate the file and extract the values and ask user to name the values, after that, create a new class file for future use. However, I don't know how to manipulate the object serialized file. I really appreciate any hints you guys can give

I suppose if you created the class file, with the same name, package, and unique serial ID, fields, etc, it can be done.
Another option is to not use serialization if you are just trying to recover the data. Again you would need to know what the datatypes of the fields are to know what it is you are trying to read, how to parse serialized data, etc. Some Objects are easy to read, like Strings. The more complicated ones are the simple datatypes.

When I put `source=('cnet-3.3.1.tgz')` in the PKGBUILD and put the archive in PKGBIULD's dir - it compiles and installs just fine.
However when creating a source file with `mkaurball` it puts the whole archive in the .src.tar.gz.
What do I do?

You should file a bug against pkgbuild-introspection , looks like mkaurball needs an extra check for archives in source array.
You could use makepkg --source for now, and upload the file that creates.
An alternative may be to edit the .src.tar.gz mkaurball created and delete the cnet*.tgz manually .
Not sure is editing .AURINFO is also needed .

To edit your site from one of your backed up versions, place the Domain file in User>Library>Application Support>iWeb & then launch iWeb. Update & publish.

My suggestion to use the smart playlist was more along the lines of making one list with rules to show everything in your library as long as it was kind "mpeg" (= mp3).
Smart playlists cannot be edited manually, only by changing the rules. You can use them as the basis for another smart playlist though.
There is added overhead to using smart playlists, so don't go overboard.

It is possible that anti-virus software is corrupting downloaded files or is interfering otherwise.
Try to disable the real-time (live) scanning of files in your anti-virus software temporarily to see if that makes downloading work.

Thanks for the quick reply. I figured out how to get the desired results by using tagging. For anyone who may reference this post in the future, I went to "Customize" in the top right corner of Adobe, then selected "Create new tool set...", looked under "accessiblity and found the "tag" option. Hit ok, tag is added to the toolbar. Then I highlighted the dataset in the PDF that was relevant to the output format, then clicked "tag", saved as spreadsheet. Sorry I can't provide more details on how tagging works or if there's a more elegant solution available, but I'm sure one's out there.

When in iPhoto (photos, library, an album, whatever, etc.) and I try to position the thumbnails at the top of the page I am unable to do so. In the "View" menu of iPhoto, then "Thumbnails" at the bottom, then all the items in the menu are grayed out. I have tried to go to iPhoto prefences and try there, but no luck. I get the beachball turning for a few minutes, then it stops, but still no luck.

To install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any iTunes entries and click "Remove", as per the following screenshot:
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try another iTunes install. Does it go through properly this time?
