How do I reload my purchased ringtone after resetting iphone?

I reset my iphone because of syncing problems. I have a ringtone that Ihad purchased a while back and can't seem to get it to load back on my phone. It shows in Itunes in my purchased folder. I have checked and unchecked the tone, turned my phone off then on and it still doesn't load.
Thanks

Sometimes altering the tag will get a stuck ringtone to transfer.  Try right-clicking on the ringtone, select Get Info, on the Info tab make a slight change to the Artist name (such as by adding a few extra characters), click OK to accept the change and try syncing.
Edit: Also make sure your computer is authorized for the Apple ID you used to purchase it (under Store>Authorize this computer).  The Apple ID used to purchase it is listed on the Summary tab as Account Name when you look at its properties using Get Info.

  • Reloading my purchased ringtone after rebooting my phone

I have a HTC Thunderbolt and the Verizon rep had to reboot my phone due to another problem.  I have reloaded all of my apps but the one purchased ringtone.  I do not want to buy it again so how do I reload the ringtone? Thank you

    Hi peroj,
I understand your concerns regarding your missing ringtone. I have some great news for you; while the ringtone was deleted due to the factory reset performed by representative and you cannot re-load it, you don't have to pay again for the same ringtone.
Please re-download the song and contact us for a credit when your next bill generates; we will check our records and confirm that you had purchased the same ringtone before and issue a credit for the charge.
Please keep in mind that this is a peer to peer forum and the issue outlined in your post will require that we access your account to issue a credit and forum members can't help you with that. While our Social Media Team monitors the activity on these forums, we offer more efficient ways to get assistance for issues that require accessing your account such as the one outlined on your post.

    From your computer backup.
Downloading (using iOS or computer) past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store - http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519 - enabled with iTunes 10.3 and newer; not all media formats are available in all countries (see: iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, and iTunes Radio availability by country - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5085); apps, books (not audiobooks), music, t.v. shows, and movies (some - not all studios have permitted this).  Downloading previously purchased movies and TV shows requires iTunes 10.6 or later.  Discontinued items not available. For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones, audiobooks), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple recommends,  "... back up your iTunes library. " (http://support.apple.com/kb/ht2519).

    Hello dorothea31,
Not sure what happened to your purchased ringtones, but you can download them again.
See this for details.  It says iOS 8.1.1 but the download section still applies.

How do I download my purchased ringtones to my Iphone5?

Ringtones are currently a one-time only download from the store - do you have copies of them in the Tones section of your computer's iTunes library or on your backup of your downloads that you can use to sync them to it ? If not, and if they are still in your country's store, you can try contacting iTunes Support and see if they will grant you a re-download : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side

Try restoring from the backup created at the beginning of the sync process:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes, go to Preferences, on the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically"
Connect your phone, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears on the left sidebar in iTunes
Select Restore from backup, choosing your most recent backup to restore from
Disconnect your phone and confirm that your photos are back
Go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

How can I reload itunes purchases that are lost of both my ipod and my computer?

Use the form on this page to request a free redownload, or use the Transfer Purchases feature if applicable. If neither of these works, you will need to purchase the content again to get them back; Apple needs to pay the copyright holders for each download from the iTunes Store other than podcasts, album artwork, and iPod touch/iPhone applications.

You should be able to access any book you have purchased from iTunes anywhere.
Do you have settings > iBooks > Show all purchases turned on.

How do I re-download purchase ringtone from iTunes

This is probably not going to be good news but here are a few things before the final point:
    1. If you have the ringtone in iTunes, you can simply transfer to iPhone (If you have backed up your iPhone 5s, it will be available in iTunes)
    2. Click on iTunes store on the left, then in the right hand side, under "Quick Links", select "Purchased". See if you can locate your ringtone
    3. Most Likely (This is the bad news) -> If you didn't backup your purchase, then it's most likely gone.
    Note:
"Ringtones cannot be re-download for free.
Your need to transfer ringtone purchases to your iTunes Library for safe keeping."
"For items not included in the iCloud list (e.g., ringtones), or locations or computer systems where iCloud is not (yet?) available, you only get one download per fee paid.  Apple notes it is your responsibility to back up your purchases."

At the present time, redownloading purchased ringtones is not supported if that's what you're trying to do.  You can check your purchase history as outlined here: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2727, but you can't redownload a purchased ringtone.

How do I get my Purchases back after my computer got wiped, Can I re-download them for free? and how?

You buy one and only one download of music/vids/tv shows/movies.  It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your purchases.
It has always been very basic to always maintain a backup copy of your computer for just such an occasion.
Use your backup copy to put everything back.
If for some reason you have failed to maintain a backup ( not good), then you can transfer itunes purchases from an ipod:  File>Transfer Purchases

When I connect my iPhone to my computer, I get the message that a newer version of iPhone software is available. However, when I click on the link to download and install the software, I get the message "There are purchased items on the iPhone that have not been transferred to your iTunes library. You should transfer these items to your iTunes library before updating this iPhone." How do I transfer the purchased items on my iPhone to my iTunes library?

You may need to enable the Menu Bar.
In the upper right hand corner, there should be a small box, half dark colored and half light, with a small arrow next to it. Click there, and choose "Show Menu Bar" from the resulting menu. At that point, you should be able to select File > Devices > Transfer Purchases, as explained by roaminggnome.
A second option you have is to show the sidebar by going to View > Show Sidebar. After this is done, right click on your device in the sidebar, and "Transfer Purchases" should be an option.
