How do I remove a bookmark in version 10.0.2 on a Mac

That's it.

Hi z00123,
There are quite a few ways to do this. You can go to the website in question and then click on the gold star in the address bar. This will give you the option to delete the bookmark and is probably the easiest method. You could also go to ''Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks'' and then ''ctrl click'' on the bookmark you want to remove and delete it that way.
You should take a look at the [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-use-bookmarks Bookmarks Knowledge Base article]. It will give you all the information you need!
Hopefully this helps!

How do you remove duplicate images from your all images file on your mac desktop?

    Don't under any circumstances.
All images is not a file. It's not a place. It's a list. Specifically, it's the result of an instruction: List all the images on my machine.
When you delete something from All Images, then you have no idea what you're removing from where - files that are part of word processing docs, interface elements, corrupting your iPhoto Library. There are many perfectly legitimate reasons why you might have what appears to be duplicates but are not.
Rule number One: Never delete anything on your machine whose job you don't understand.

  • How do I remove duplicate bookmarks in Safari

I have literally hundreds of Duplicate bookmaks in Safari. in some cases 5 or 6 for the same site.
    How do I remove them.
    Thank you.

One way of alphabetize Safari's bookmarks:
    http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20060627105559861
    Also:
    Have a look at Bookdog:
    http://sheepsystems.com/products/bookdog/
Alternatively try the 'quick n' dirty way':
Drag the folder with the bookmarks to your Desktop and the Finder window will automatically alphabetize the bookmarks. Then drag it back into the Safari window.
For those running Snow Leopard OS  or later versions of OS X there is SafariSort:

  • How do I remove a bookmark that has a star from the awesome bar?

isn't there some way to permanently remove an entry from the awesome bar? This is also a very annoying problem. If a site is a bookmark then sure it can be deleted from the drop down list, but the next time you go to the awesome bar it is there again. I want to be able to permanently remove a bookmark from the awesome bar. Period. How the heck can I type in a site that is a bookmark that I do not want to appear in my drop down list in the awesome bar?

You need to understand my question.
As a user, I do not want to delete or eliminate all bookmarked sites.
On occasion, however, I only want to delete only a single or a few websites from their bookmarked status and stop them from appearing on the drop down list in the location bar.
So, for example, if I see in my drop down list:
    Apples.com
    Ardvarks.com
    Airplanes.com
    and all are bookmarked sites
and I just want to stop Ardvarks.com from appearing in my awesome bars' drop down list every time I enter the letter "A"
then that's what I want to do.
I do not want to stop Apples.com or Airplanes.com from appearing in the drop down list.
There must be a way to permanently stop Ardvarks.com from appearing everytime I look at the awesome bars' drop down list.

  • How do you remove certain bookmarks?

I want to remove certain Bookmarks, but not all of them. I am afraid that I will accidentally remove all of them.
I have a G4 iMac PC, and I'm using OS 10.4.11. I think I have Firefox version 3 point something.
Incidentally, another problem that I have with Firefox is that I can't print more than one page of email messages in Yahoo (but I am
able to print multiple pages of Yahoo messages, using Safari).
Any suggestions and ideas are much appreciated. Thanks~
    Bea

  • How do I remove a bookmark I no longer want, I've only been able to delete them all and start over?.

I just downloaded Firefox. I have Windows XP home 2002, and Internet Explorer 8. In learning to use bookmarks I ended up with bookmarks I really didn't want. Couldn't find a way to remove just the ones I didn't want so have removed them all twice and just started over.
I tried using the remove or delete button, but it didn't work.

All I do is open up the bookmarks, slide to the bookmark, right click, delete. '''Don't '''left click to hightlight the bookmark first... ''Good Luck''

  • How do I remove the bookmark toolbar icons for websites? After updating to Firefox 22, add-ons don't help.

In the Bookmark Toolbar, the icons for websites take up too much space and are distracting. I used to use the Bookmarks - Deiconizer add-on but after updating to Firefox 22 it doesn't work anymore.
I tried adjusting the userChrome.css as in other posts but that does not work.
    Please help!

    Hi haweyext,
Did you see this thread from yesterday:
[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/964732 How do I keep the icons out of my Bookmarks Toolbar (tried Bookmarks Deiconizer) even after downloading files?]
If userChrome.css isn't working (note: you need to exit and restart Firefox before it takes effect), you can apply that rule to Firefox using the Stylish extension instead.
    Does any of that help?

  • How do I remove picture bookmark icons in Safari?

When opening Safari I see picture icons that come from various websites I have bookmarked.
I don't want these images showing that I cannot control. I don't want or need custom icons coming from various Blogs.
Some of these images might be objectionable.

I have apparently synced my bookmarks from my iPad and they got to my new phone.
Or they came from an iCloud sync...I don't use Explorer and never have.
I plan to attend an Apple workshop for new iPhone users tonight.
As I understand it I can use iCloud to "sync" my devices..which I am hoping will happen with my contacts and my music as well...I want everything the same on all of my devices.
I just dont want these Safari picture icons on my new phone from websites I have bookmarked.
I don't mind the names being there but the owners of these sites must be creating these picture icons and therefore I have no control of their content. I would prefer no picture icons of my bookmarks
but can't figure out how to make this my "preference".
    Thanks for your suggestions.

  • How do i remove duplicate bookmarks from my ipad?

It seems the links go on forever!  Some of the links are ancient and I've deleted them everywhere Ican think of but when I attempt to delete them on my ipad the links are never ending and the source is unclear,  If I remove an entire folder from the edit, it links to some information that I use but it doesn't let me delete individual bookmarks.  It seems to be all or nothing.

Click here > iCloud: Troubleshooting iCloud Bookmarks and Reading List
    Then expand:  Troubleshoot duplicate bookmarks

  • How do I remove my bookmarked websites that appeared on my daughter's iPod Touch.

My daughter got an iPod Touch today.  When starting it up, I entered my email and password.  Since we share music, I though this was the best idea.  However, when I opened up her safari, all of MY bookmarked websites were on her iTouch. I would rather that my bookmarked sites stay off of her iPod... and visa versa.  I tried resetting the iPod to original settings... but it never asked me to enter an email address/password or to create a new account.  I DO want to share the account with her so it is easiest to share the music... but how do I keep the websites off?

    Back from where?
    Where did it go?
It should all be on your computer and included in your regular backup copy of your computer.
    Sync it back.
