How do I remove a secondary apple id from my Mac? I am being prompted for a apple id password for a former user; I do not have the information. Prevents updates from App Store.
How do I remove a secondary Apple ID that is not in use from my MacBook pro? The ID does not belong to me and when I attempt to download updates from App Store with my Apple ID, I am prompted for the password of the secondary Apple ID.
Is this a second hand Mac? If so, you need to erase the Mac and install the version of OS X that shipped installed on the Mac from the factory. Then you set the Mac up as new with your Apple ID.

I have been trying to update via App Store and every time only with apple software it starts to download and it will says it's calculating time remaining then an error message pops up saying " An error has occurred the request timed out. (102)" I have tried everything , I've been told its my ISP but I have tried using differenet internet to attempt the updates. Like I said all other software updates fine its just apple software

My iPad does not have the automatic software update and I do not know how to get IOS 6 onto it. When I go into settings there is no software update button.
If you are really on iOS 5 then look in Settings > General > Software update.
Otherwise:
If you are using iOS 4 (or earlier) there is no Software Update in Settings. That feature was first added in iOS 5.
To update you will have to connect your iPad to iTunes on a computer (preferably the one you sync with and backup to).

Hi, my Fm11 does not have the buttons to change from XML to WYSIWYG views. It only has the WYSIWYG view, and it does not have the Structure Tools,DITA, S1000D menu options.

Purchases not appearing in "Purchased" under "Updates" in App Store
I have ios 5.0 on an iphone 4. When I click the App Store icon and then "Updates" at the bottom of the screen and then click "Purchased", nothing shows up. All my apps had transfered over successfully during the migration to ios 5 from ios 4.3. however I removed one app and now I want to reinstall it. However under "Purchased" apps nothing shows up.
Has anyone else had this issue? Is there a resolution?
One other caveat: I had an old mobile me account which I did not want to use and could not get the verification email sent to my current Apple ID automatically. When I called Apple support, the representative was able to manually send me the verification email to the Apple Id I am currently using (not mobile me ID) and the install went fine from that point forward. Also, all of the 33 apps on my iphone were purchased with the this Apple ID (not the mobile me ID).Am having the same issue
Got an iphone4. After I first installed iOS5/iCloud if I went to the App store>updates>Purchased if i pressed "All" it would show a list of every app I had purchased whether it was installed on the phone or not, with and iCloud icon to dowload any that were not there. And as you would expect the "not on this phone" when pressed would have a shorter list showing just the purchased apps not on the phone.
Now both lists are the same
That is to say that the All list only has the apps not on the phone (which is wrong it show show all my purchases) and the "not on this phone app" is "correct" as it shows the apps not on the phone
Is this a bug in iOS5 that has only just come to light?

I lost my I phone but did not have Icloud on it or the find my I phone App...Is there any way to locate the phone without these apps? One would think if location services are on the phone it could be found by GPS from verizon? Any suggestions?
The only way to track is from Find my iPhone. Sorry. All Verizon can do is possibly block it by IMEI so others cannot use it.

If you did register it back then, open your Adobe account with your Adobe ID and you will find it there: Find your serial number quickly

I have IPad 1 and for some of my game Apps, I need at least IOS 4.3. I open my IPad to Settings, General, but there is no "update" to select..should I call Apple Tech to have my IPad updated???thanks
The Settings > General > Software Update option only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, you will need to update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Devices > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad via File > Devices > Back Up
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand sidebar, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

You can only update a device to the highest iOS version that it supports, which for a first gen iPad is iOS 5.1.1 -
How do I update the software?
Sounds like your ipod version is too old like 2nd version. Call apple to verify. 4.2.1 is a Marker as the highest older devices can go. If itunes or your computer operating system is old or not updated it can say this is current.

If you are under iOS 4.x, you cant update ota (over the air). You need to plug your device to your computer and update it from iTunes.

When you resign from the Beta program, give it some time for the system to update. I am sure, that if you check again a day later you would have been removed.
