How do I remove all songs from my iPhone?

I have all artists, albums, genres and playlists unchecked on my Music on iTunes. I have no songs in the "manually added" section. But still my iPhone has 24 songs on it, that I can manually delete, but they are put back on when I sync my phone. If anyone has any idea how to get them off for good I would very much appreciate the help! Thanks!

Just uploaded the newest version of software on my I phone 4S and I uploaded all my songs from I Cloud which imported to my phone. I didn't want this to happen. So I deleted my I cloud account to see if that would take my songs off. It did but there are tweleve songs still left. I hooked my phone to my computer and I do have the newest version on my I tunes. There were no songs posted under music on my I Phone. Stumped there. Then I tried to manully erase them by touching and swiping. I was able to get two but the rest were a problem. I would swipe and it would take me to the song and start playing. Any ideas anyone to get rid of these songs?

  • How can I remove individual songs from my iphone 5?

How can I remove individual songs from my iphone 5? Right now, all 2013 songs are syncing. I thought that unchecking the songs in the main itunes playlist would remove them form all devices. Apparently this does not work. Under the uphone 5 sync menu there are no selections for individual songs... only groups of songs. Am I missing something?

I just create a playlist and sync only this playlist.
Then just add/remove from this playlist and sync.
Unchecking songs does other thing such as not playing them in iTunes, not syncing them to other devices and not applying changes

  • HT4915 How do I remove a song from my iPhone that I pulled down off the Cloud?

How do I remove a song from my iPhone that I pulled down off the Cloud? I don't want to remove the song from my library, just my iPhone.

If you're using iTunes Match, currently this is not possible.  For some reason the ability to remove individual songs was removed with iOS 6.  All you can do is delete all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage, tapping Music, swipping across All Music and tapping Delete), then redownload the music you want on your phone from iTunes Match.
If you're not using iTunes match you could try swipping across the title of the song and seeing if the option to Delete appears.  Not sure if this is still possible for non-iTunes Match users.

How can I remove all photos from my iphone?

    Hi pjdemeo,
I understand you want to delete all of the photos from your iPhone.  As a precaution, I would suggest importing the photos and videos from your iPhone into your computer.  This will give you a backup for the images, and after import you will be asked if you want to delete the photos.
Import photos and videos from your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch to your Mac or Windows PC - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201302
The iPhone User Guide has instructions for deleting photos directly from the device:
Organize photos and videos - iPhone
    http://help.apple.com/iphone/8/#/iphf14943e
Delete a photo or video from Photos. Tap the Photos tab, tap the photo or video, tap , then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. Deleted photos and videos are kept in the Recently Deleted album on iPhone, with a badge showing the remaining days until the item is permanently removed from iPhone. To delete the photo or video permanently before the days expire, tap the item, tap Delete, then tap Delete Photo or Delete Video. If you use iCloud Photo Library beta, deleted photos and videos are permanently removed from all iOS 8.1 devices that use iCloud Photo Library beta with the same Apple ID.

  • HT4914 Once I turn on Match, how do I remove the songs from my iPhone, thus freeing up the memory, which is my initial purpose anyway? (while still having instant access to all my music)

Once I turn on Match, how do I remove the songs form my iPhone, thus freeing up the memory, which is my initial purpose anywhy (while still having complete instant access to all my music) ?

    Hello there dwflemming1,
I recommend turning off iTunes Match on the computer and the phone. Then connect the phone to the computer and uncheck the box to sync music, then click apply in the lower right corner of iTunes. When that completes, turn match back on on both devices.

  • How do I remove all apps from my iPhone?

How do I bulk remove all apps from my iPhone? There has to be a better way than removing each one manually. Thanks.

It's easiest to plug it into the computer if you have a lot, and click on the Music tab of the iPhone. Then, either Control-A (Windows) or Command-A (Mac) to select all of the songs then press delete on your keyboard. If you have a few, it is easiest to swipe over the individual songs and press delete.

how do i remove all the mp3 songs from my iphone?

If you have many songs, the easiest way is to remove them from iTunes on your computer and then synch your iPhone.  Otherwise, you can remove them one by one on your iPhone by going into the Songs section under Music on your iPhone and swiping left to right, which causes a "Delete" box to show up.  You then confirm the delete.

  • How do I remove unwanted songs from my iPhone?

When I downloaded 7.0.3 I can no longer delete unwanted songs from my iPhone. I have synced it over and over with "only checked songs". No avail. Any help out there?

These are the downsides of a shared library because if you delete the song from your library it will get also automatically  deleted from your kids library. If you want to proceed then please follow this guide: https://support.apple.com/kb/HT4915

I am trying to delete select songs/albums from my iPhone since it is almost over capacity. Apple doesn;t seem to want to make this an easy task... There are songs I simply don't want anymore, and can't seem to remove them from my iPhone 4...

Yes, you can delete individual song in a playlist.
In playlist, tap Edit button (top left), tap on the left of song, tap red Delete button.

  • How can I remove a song from my iPhone?   it is removed from my music list under "device" in i-Tunes in my computer, but remains on my phone.

I am trying to clean up and reduce the songs in i-Tunes on my i-Phone.  I connect the phone to my computer, go to i-Tunes, and display the music list (songs).  I then click "delete" on the song i want to remove, and it disappears from the list.  The problem is, it remains in the song list in my phone, and won't go away, no matter what I do.  Help!

It means no such thing. Your selection of songs to sync remains in iTunes regardless of what is currently on the device. After you delete the music from your device, connect it to iTunes, select it from devices:
Then select the Music tab, uncheck the few songs you no longer want on the device and resync.

  • How can I delete all songs from iCloud library?

    Hi,
I have a strange issue and couldn't really find any information about this on Google, so I thought I would try here. I'm kind of surprised this hasn't come up for other users yet (or maybe it has and I'm just missing it.)
I matched my iTunes library yesterday. About 60% of the songs were matched, 15% were uploaded and 25% were errored. I really like iTunes Match but I decided that I want to micromanage the library to get the best match results. To do this, I wanted to do the following:
    1. Remove all songs from my iCloud library
    2. Create a new iTunes library for use with iTunes
    3. Add to the library, artist by artist to match/correct.
I began to do this in my new library and it was working fine. However I then decided to completely clear the old library, so I went into my original library, deleted all songs and definitely selected the option to delete from iCloud. I am 100% positive I did this. However, none of the songs deleted. They are not available in my original library (I have checked the option to display songs not on this computer) and they don't show up in my other library, either. I have no option to download the songs from iTunes on any computer, though I retain access from my iPhone.
So, I need to delete these songs from iCloud. It does me no good to have them there when they're so disorganized and especially when I can't access them from most of my iTunes enabled devices. I was thinking of calling Apple to see if they could clear my iCloud library but a. I'm not sure they will and b. I don't want to pay $29 to discuss this with them, as I feel it is an issue with iTunes Match/iCloud and should be complimentary.
I thought that maybe the songs would delete over time, since I know the iCloud servers are heavily taxed at the moment. However, it has been about 15 hours and there is absolutely no change. The iMatch section of iTunes shows that there are songs available, but none of them are; and since my plan is to reupload to iCloud anyway, that's fine--I just need to find out how to actually make the delete go through.
    Thanks!

I called Apple and spoke with a customer service representative regarding this issue. I was given the two things to try, and if they don't work, I was told I can call back in:
    1. Go to iCloud.com and look at the advanced options. Since Photos can be deleted here, the representative thought there may be an option to remove songs here as well.
    2. Go into the library that has the songs that were deleted and click Update iTunes match.
I tried #1--this didn't resolve the issue, as there is no option to remove songs this way. I can't try #2 right now since I'm at work, but if anybody else with this issue can try that step it can help us get the ball rolling on it. After I try that, I'll call Apple back to discuss this further.
