An incorrect icloud address has been entered into an ipad and is awaiting verification. this address does not exist but I cannot remove it from the ipad. any ideas on how to fix this?

In this case, you have to reset your iPad as a brand new device: tap Settings > General > Reset > Erase all data and content > confirm the action. After then, you can restore your iPad from iCloud or iTunes backup file if you have backed up it before.

the only way to remove that is to delete the apps and reinstall them under your current apple id. those apps were purchased under that hotmail app id account so they will always update under it

It sounds like you are trying to change the Apple ID logged into the iTunes & App Stores on your iPhone. Use these steps:
Changing your Apple ID account
Tap Settings > iTunes & App Stores, then tap the Apple ID signed in.
Sign out of the current Apple ID account and then sign in with another account or create a new Apple ID.

How do I remove an email address that I used once and it keeps popping up when I try to send an email that starts with the first letter of that email addy I used one time?

The only way to remove those email addresses is to do a factory restore of the phone which wipes all data. In my opinion, easier to live with the address.

When I enter an e-mail address the system offers me choices. For most all of my address there are duplicates. Also showing up is e-mail address that were typed incorrectly.
When I go to Mail>Window>Previous Recipients there are no duplicates.
No dublicates in my contact list either on the mac,Iphone or cloud.
Anyone out there have any idea how to get rid of these duplicates or wrong e-mail address from the drop down list?

Copy
Nothing about duplicate address
Even when I click on Previous Recipientd List there are not duplicates.

If the lock only came from restore of someone else's backup, you can get rid of that by doing factory restore. That will not help you if your story is not true.

I purchased a new iPhone 5S yesterday and started to use a former iPhone 4S iCloud backup to restore it but as it took 2.5Go of "others" space I decided to reset the iPhone and start from scratch.
I have now properlly restored my new iPhone and would like to remove the old iCloud backup but when I try to erase it (from iCloud submenu or my Mac's iCloud "manage account") it says that it can't be removed as it is being used to restore an iDevice. Is there a way to do that ?

If all you want is an additional email address you can create up to three 'email aliases' - these are additional addresses (not accounts) which deliver into the same inbox as the main account.
You should be aware before you start that once you've created an alias you cannot turn that address into a full iCloud account, move it to another account, or reactivate it if you delete it.

I created an appleID account to use with the mac AppStore without realising i previously had an appleID account from my first iPod touch.
Now with OSX 10.8 I want to use the email address from the old account with the new account for Messages.app without having to manage 2 logins.
I've followed the steps found on the support page http://support.apple.com/kb/HE68 under the section "How to add an additional email address that is already associated with another Apple ID" but each time I attempt to add the removed email address from the new account to the old account the input box shows the error: Email address is already verified for another Apple ID.
Has anyone else experienced this problem and found a solution?

I went into settings and then to messages and I have 2 addresses, one of them is my email address. I now want to remove my email address as it seems to be causing me problems. How do I remove my email address? I am aware that i touch "Receive At" which has 2 addresses, but I am wanting to remove the email address but nothing is happening. Help!

If that email address is your Apple ID, I don't believe you can delete it.
If you have your cell phone number selected as your Caller ID, when sending an iMessage it will be sent from your phone number.
Since your Apple ID email address is registered as well, if someone has your email address in their contacts, they can select your email address to send you an iMessage in addition to your phone number.
When this recipient says you are sometimes sending an iMessage via email, it is received as an email with the Mail app on their iPhone, not with the Messages app?
