How do I remove duplicate "(backup)" files on iTunes?

I just got a iPhone and they transfered all my contacts from my old phone to the iPhone at the AT&T store. I setup Exchange on it and now I have a duplicate of just about every contact. When I go back to group view, I see duplicates of all the contact groups. One will be the group name and the other is the group name (backup) (ex: Friends & Friends (backup)) as 2 seperate groups. What is the backup and how do I clean this up? Thanks!

Individual computers can only be deauthorised directly on them, but if you have 2 or more computers authorised then you can log into your account on your computer's iTunes via the Store > View Account menu option and 'deauthorise all' (which you can do once every 12 months) and you can then authorise/reauthorise the computers that you still have and need : authorising and deauthorising.

If you want to free up your memory, maybe first checking to see if you got duplicates. -
From the File menu in iTunes, choose Show Duplicates. iTunes will then list all of the duplicate titles in your library.
If you delete a music in the iTunes folder, then when you try to play that particular music in your iTunes, it won't work as iTunes wouldn't be able to find it. However, when you import music on to your computer, always import straight into your iTunes, no where else.

You can manage what attachments are kept through Mail preferences. In Mail, click the Mail menu in the menu bar and choose Preferences. In the General tab, choose the option of your choice for the "Remove unedited downloads" option. (I personally use the "When message is deleted" option, although I believe the default is "Never"). Note that you might see duplicates because an identical attachment was included on multiple emails.

Wich version of iPhoto do you have? You need iPhoto '09 or '11 to order prints.
Make an album of all photos you want to order in the same order.
Then select all photos at once, when you use Share > order prints.

All images is not a file. It's not a place. It's a list. Specifically, it's the result of an instruction: List all the images on my machine.
When you delete something from All Images, then you have no idea what you're removing from where - files that are part of word processing docs, interface elements, corrupting your iPhoto Library. There are many perfectly legitimate reasons why you might have what appears to be duplicates but are not.
Rule number One: Never delete anything on your machine whose job you don't understand.

Grouping podcasts
A podcast series will split up in this way when its feed is moved to a new URL. Merging the series requires editing all the older episodes so that they appear to have come from the current feed. Download and install Mp3Tag (not sure of a Mac equivalent offhand). Use it to explore the Extended tags of podcasts from the same series. PODCASTURL (formerly ITUNESPODCASTURL) is used to link different podcasts from the same subscription (as opposed to fields like Album & Album Artist etc.) and PODCASTID (formerly ITUNESPODCASTID) determines the order. Everything else seems to be optional. Backup your files, tweak a few a tags then highlight the changed files in turn in iTunes with the image pane set to Selected item. This is marginally quicker for small numbers of files than using select, Get Info, OK to get iTunes to refresh its knowledge of the tags. Erm, last I checked the method no longer works anyway. If iTunes still fails to notice the updated tags try my script UpdateTagInfo (Win).

I have the same issue. If I have a file in my music folder and then click on it and it opens in itunes it creates a duplicate file in my itunes library. Besides sorting in finder and deleting one by one based upon folder location is there a less mind numbing way to accomplish this task.

The best option in that case is to restore your iPhoto library from your backup.
If your backup is not current it will be a lot of work and a risky operation, even with tools like iPhoto library Manager or Duplicate Annihilator.
Before you start deleting duplicates make a backup copy of the current state, so you have a fall back option in case you delete accidentally too much.
