How do I remove facebook birthdays from my calendar in ios 7?

I have been unable to remove facebook birthdays from my iphone 5 calendar. My contacts haven't been synchronised, only my calendar? I have deleted the app, signed out from it, nothing seems to work. Can anyone help?

Click on Calendars in the top menu bar and deselect the Birthdays Calendar.

Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

my calendar is synced with my hotmail/outlook account, and all of the Facebook birthdays are showing up as well. I want the Facebook information gone and can not for the life of me find where to do it. I've looked under the settings of the calendar/facebook/outlook. Also they don't show up on any of my other devices, just my galaxy s5. Help!!! Thank you!!!

Lets get those birthdays removed! If you go into your Facebook app, tap the Menu button, and select App Settings do you see that it's set to "Don't Sync" under Other Settings at the bottom? If that's set correctly you can also check the settings in the phone. Just go to Settings>Facebook (under Accounts) and look to see if Sync Contacts is checked. If both places are showing the correct setting I suggest Removing the Account and App from your phone. After that, you can add them back with the settings you want!

I'm sorry...you actually don't need to log out & log back in. Just go to Settings within the FB App & you can change it there.

Open Terminal and enter the following command:
launchctl unload -w /System/Library/LaunchAgents/com.apple.notificationcenterui.plist
Next type the following command to kill NotificationCenter:

Open settings and then choose 'Facebook'.
Then under "Allow These Apps to Use Your Account" turn Calendar off. Birthdays will be gone but so will your events.
Alternative:
Just disable both Calender and Contacts
1: Settings
2:Notifications
3:scroll down to Facebook
4:Turn Badge App Icon switch to 'Off'

Check Safari/Preferences/Passwords to see if the Facebook account is there. If so, select it and remove it. If you are still having problems, Safari/Preferences/Advanced - enable the Develop menu, then go there and Empty Caches. Quit/reopen Safari and test. If that doesn't work, Safari/Reset Safari.

further update: i've worked around the problem by taking a screen shot of a blank white area of a webpage and making that my photo...but i shouldn't have to do that and would still like to know how one actually deletes one's photo from Address Book. Address Book's help indicates that i'll find such photos in Library/Images/People, but there's no such directory in any of my Library folders. Address Book's help is not being very helpful today.

there is actually no way to completely delete an image for you address book entry. you can only change it to something else as you did.
as for the image on that website, most likely it pulled your photo from your webpage on some site like My Space, Facebook etc. do you have a page like that? some sites will tap directly into your webpage and pull your pic from it.

I'm using a MacBook Pro. I want to know how to delete Facebook events from my computers calendar, because it's taking up space and preventing me from seeing other events on that day.
BUT, every time I try to delete it, an error message pops up "Only the calendar administrator and any delegates with permission can make changes to read-only calendars. To make changes to the calendar, contact the calendar administrator."
And I can't delete the event. Have not tried declining the event because I don't wanna offend the person who invited me.
