Right click the app.
Choose "Get Info"
Under Permissions, change EVERYTHING to "Read & Write".
Download and install AppZapper (It's a free trial)
Drag iTunes to the AppZapper window and "Zap" it to the trash.
Empty the trash.

Hi all,
i have spent the past few weeks browsing these forums and others trying to find a solution to my problem. I am trying to remove all traces of the itunes program off my computer so that i can download the new copy. I have tried uninstalling itunes, bonjour, apple mobile support, quicktime, apple software update and apple application support and all but the itunes successfully uninstalled, i deleted the program files off my (C:) drive including the itunes program files but itunes still comes up in my control panel and when i click uninstall the uninstaller window pops up and says "preparing to remove" but then nothing happens, and when i click repair it says "preparing to install" but once again nothing happens, i have tried disabling all firewalls and antivirus and running the iTunesSetup.exe as an administrator but the same window pops up and says "errors occured during installation before itunes could be configured."
Someone please help me to solve this?

To keep both libraries perfectly synced, you may need to find a script or separate application to do it.
If you're just interested in keeping the music the same (but not necessarily play counts, ratings, etc) you can just copy the music itself from one computer to the other (via network).
Perhaps someone with a bit more imagination/experience can provide a working solution? I've done something similar by using an external/network drive and a sym linked iTunes library, but the problem with that is your laptop won't be able to access the music unless it's on your home network.

Same as title: how can I remove something from my download list FOREVA! Why would I want to do this? Because it's a piece of poo free sampler from Best Buy that is effing huge, and terrible and I don't want it, ever (it's been stuck to my list since 08, and it must die). Every time I buy something I have to remember to go and remove that from my list, otherwise iTunes gets caught up downloading that thing, which is many times larger than any video/cd/app that I have ever downloaded on iTunes before.
