How do I remove latest version (4.0) from my CS2 installation?

I am running Photoshop CS2. In error I had installed the wrong version of Camera Raw (version 4.0). I have since removed the .8bi file and replaced it with the correct version (3.7).
In CS2, when I view Help/About Plug-In I see 2 versions of Camera Raw - versions 4.0, and 3.7.
When I try and try and open a raw file from Bridge straight into Photoshop nothing happens. I have tried dragging and dropping and right click thumbnail then 'open with photoshop cs2' options.
I only have one (the 3.7 version) file named 'Camera Raw.8bi' in my folder: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Plug-Ins\CS2\File Formats so am wondering if there is a conflict in a registry file somewhere?
Any ideas please?

Adele, Good advice from Jim. This is not a registry issue - the behavior you are seeing is due to an additional copy of Camera Raw file somewhere in the folder path. If you are using Windows, run AcrChecker, which will locate the additional v4 copy, right click on the plugin, open the folder, and delete it. Hi Moerdesign,
Did you downloaded and installed Photoshop and Illustrator CS6 through Creative Cloud.
After uninstalled them, Creative Cloud saying applications are "Up to Date" when not installed.
If this is the case then please perform the steps given in the help document.

Like Henrik said, make sure you have the Classifications selected that you want to address. IE 11 is the current browser, that was added to the catalog a few months back. If you are searching for this month you wont find it.

Each of those entries at the RSS site show up in my Firefox RSS folder twice. The content of each entry when I go to it is exactly the same. It's not that one is the reply to the original post or anything like that. For instance, see the attached image of the list of items that show up. The highlighted yellow on top is an example. Both of those links display exactly the same original post and replies. Why is that? Is is possible that somehow I'm subscribed twice? Does that make sense? How can I delete the duplicates, or for that matter, clear all those items that show on the list? I just want to see the new ones. Thanks.

Thank you for the reply. I wanted to wait awhile in order to ensure that this corrected the issue. For a brief while, it did! However, it did not take long before the screen began once again hijacking my home button presses. This occurs even with Firefox removed from default applications ( triple-checked ).
This never happened before version 35.

Depending on how you created your account, "None" may or may not be an option. I believe it has something to do with whether the account was made through an App Store request or the regular iTunes Store. For example, my account allows no card but my father's doesn't allow there to be no card.
To change the card, go to your account settings and change the information to your new card, and hit save.

The Apple ID exists. The email address you used to create it may not, but the Apple ID does. Call AppleCare and ask to speak to someone in account security.
