I have a BT Infinity router plugged into the Time Capsule, not sure where the radio settings are?
They are able to use the network settings of the TC i.e. they can connect to the internet via the wifi through the TC but when they try and connect to the AirPort Disk this is where it is not allowing a connection.
I don;t have the drive shared out at all at the moment, is this necessary? How do I do this if so?

You installed the "SaveKeeper" adware. To remove it, please take the steps below.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of the date it was posted, as far as I know.They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment after a few days from now should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
1. From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions, including any with the name "RightCoupon," "SaveKeep," or similar. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
2. In the Applications folder, there may be an item with the name "SaveKeeper" or similar. Move it to the Trash and empty. If you get a warning that the item is in use, force it to quit, then try again.
The rest of this comment is optional. I can't be sure that you don't have a variant of SaveKeeper that I'm not familiar with, or that you haven't installed some other kind of malware in addition to SaveKeeper. If you want to rule out that possibility, see below.
1. This procedure is a diagnostic test. It changes nothing, for better or worse.
2. If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data before doing anything else. The backup is necessary on general principle, not because of anything in the test procedure. Backup is always a must, and when you're having any kind of trouble with the computer, you may be at higher than usual risk of losing data, whether you follow these instructions or not.

Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
7. Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad. Click Utilities, then Terminal in the icon grid.
Click anywhere in the Terminal window and paste by pressing command-V. The text you pasted should vanish immediately. If it doesn't, press the return key.
8. If you see an error message in the Terminal window such as "syntax error," enter
exec bash
and press return. Then paste the script again.
9. If you're logged in as an administrator, you'll be prompted for your login password. Nothing will be displayed when you type it. You will not see the usual dots in place of typed characters. Make sure caps lock is off. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you make three failed attempts to enter the password, the test will run anyway, but it will produce less information. In most cases, the difference is not important. If you don't know the password, or if you prefer not to enter it, press the key combination control-C or just press return three times at the password prompt. Again, the script will still run.
If you're not logged in as an administrator, you won't be prompted for a password. The test will still run. It just won't do anything that requires administrator privileges.
10. The test may take a few minutes to run, depending on how many files you have and the speed of the computer. A computer that's abnormally slow may take longer to run the test. While it's running, there will be nothing in the Terminal window and no indication of progress. Wait for the line
[Process completed]
to appear. If you don't see it within half an hour or so, the test probably won't complete in a reasonable time. In that case, close the Terminal window and report the results. No harm will be done.
11. When the test is complete, quit Terminal. The results will have been copied to the Clipboard automatically. They are not shown in the Terminal window. Please don't copy anything from there. All you have to do is start a reply to this comment and then paste by pressing command-V again.
If any private information, such as your name or email address, appears in the results, anonymize it before posting. Usually that won't be necessary.
12. When you post the results, you might see the message, "You have included content in your post that is not permitted." It means that the forum software has misidentified something in the post as a violation of the rules. If that happens, please post the test results on Pastebin, then post a link here to the page you created.

How do I remove mackeeper from my MBA (Yosemite)

I've seen MacKeeper many times in the past and to my knowledge, have NEVER installed or run the program. Somehow it's wormed my way on to my MBA to the point where the computer is almost unusable. Both in Safari and Chrome (which I almost never use), when I open any link, another tab appears with some MacKeeper BS or some other random webpage opens. I've removed MacKeeper from my Applications folder to no avail.
So much for Apple computers being immune to virus garbage. Is there some simple application that I can download that will purge my entire MBA of this problem. I did see a checklist that involved many steps that I didn't understand. I'm a bit worried that this MacKeeper may be recording my keystrokes and noting my login information to financial websites. I'm prepared to do a complete reinstallation of Yosemite if this will make this problem go away. Even that might not do the trick if there is some reference to this problem in the Cloud and just waiting for a future sync with a new copy of Yosemite.
Hope someone can help me in this matter. If I don't have to worry about the cloud, I'm prepared to trot down to my local Genius Bar and have them do a reinstallation of Yosemite. If do get it off my computer, is there anyway to prevent it in the future. To the best of my memory, this problem only happened after the installation of Yosemite.

Looks like I jumped the gun. However, my MBA is probably 85-90% better. I did run ClamXav on the SSD and did get some errors that I deleted. I then reformatted my external Time Machine and then did a full TM backup. I just completed a ClamXav on the TM and got the following errors from the supposedly clean SSD that I backed up shortly before.

Actually ClamXav found 15 errors, all the same as the list above, but in different places on the TM. This list repeated 3 times. I can't delete these errors on the TM like I could from the internal SSD. The previous errors which I didn't write down included some plishing errors.
Still, my MBA is running like a top. I'm going to keep my Apple Genius appointment this afternoon to see what they have to say about this. I'm now starting to think the only way out from these errors is to total wipe my SSD and the TM. Then start all over with a fresh copy of Yosemite and a new copy to my TM. At this moment, the only problem is intermittent popup ads in new tabs. Annoying.
The reason my last TM backup was in June is another story. That backup was with Yosemite beta. I was one of the early beta Yosemite testers and the beta ran great until one day when I did a beta update, it totally screwed the system. Computer wouldn't even boot. Went to see the Apple Genius and all they could do since it was beta was to reinstall Mavericks. For some reason, I couldn't use the TM with Yosemite beta and then Mavericks on the same TM disk. I had to reinstall everything (Word, Excel, etc, etc). I did have a few strange things going on with Mavericks the last 2 months, but nothing I could put a handle on. I did install the regular Yosemite the first day it came out, but I've never felt it ran as good as the beta version. So, this might have something to do with the present problem.
It will be interesting to see what the Genius says tonight. I was trying to wrap this up before we leave so that a good MBA will be waiting for me on return. I'm going on the cruise with only my iPad and iPhone.

How do I completely remove 'Mackeeper' from my iMac (27 inch - Mid 2011) Yosemite version 10.10.2 (3.4GHz Intel Core i7) (4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3)
Mackeeper opens every time I click on anything on the internet.
Sometimes Mackeeper tells me to call a support number, the screen is frozen and only switching the power off resolves the issue.
Have deleted Mackeeper from 'Applications' but Mackeeper remains.

"MacKeeper" is a scam with only one useful feature: it deletes itself.
First, back up all data.
Note: These instructions apply to the version of the product that I downloaded and tested in early 2012. I can't be sure that they apply to other versions.
If you have incompletely removed MacKeeper—for example, by dragging the application to the Trash and immediately emptying—then you'll have to reinstall it and start over.
IMPORTANT: "MacKeeper" has what the developer calls an “encryption” feature. In my tests, I didn't try to verify what this feature really does. If you used it to “encrypt” any of your files, “decrypt” them before you uninstall, or (preferably) restore the files from backups made before they were “encrypted.” As the developer is not trustworthy, you should assume that the "decrypted" files are corrupt unless proven otherwise.
In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Applications
from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-A. The "MacKeeper" application is in the folder that opens. Quit it if it's running, then drag it to the Trash. You'll be prompted for your login password. Click the Uninstall MacKeeper button in the dialog that appears. All the other functional components of the software will be deleted. Restart the computer and empty the Trash.
☞ Quit MacKeeper before dragging it to the Trash.
☞ Let MacKeeper delete its other components before you empty the Trash.
☞ Don't try to drag the MacKeeper Dock icon to the Trash.
☞ Don't try to remove MacKeeper while running in safe mode.

How to remove 'MacKeeper' popup ad?

Somewhere during a surfing experience, t encountered the popup ad for 'MacKeeper'. Along with that problem i found that my homepage upon opening Safari came up to 'QuickSearch' from months using 'Google'. I do not know where of why I all of a sudden got his with these plus others, but now I cannot seem to rid my computer of random hits of these and other popups that begin as soon as I try to surf the internet.
If anyone has had a similar experience and found a cure to rid these annoyances I would appreciate some help in ridding my computer of these pesky things.

I keep getting a mackeeper ad pop up when I go to webpages. I also get websites coming up that I didn't select. I've updated IOS, turned on firewall and firevault, didn't help. My google homepage keeps rerouting to a smart search site. Very frustrated. Any suggestions.

There is no need to download anything to solve this problem. You may have installed a variant of the "VSearch" ad-injection malware.
Malware is always changing to get around the defenses against it. These instructions are valid as of today, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for a more recent discussion, or start a new one.
The VSearch malware tries to hide itself by varying the names of the files it installs. To remove it, you must first identify the naming pattern.
Triple-click the line below on this page to select it, then copy the text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
In the Finder, select
          Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
A folder named "LaunchDaemons" may open. Look inside it for two files with names of the form
          com.something.daemon.plist
and
           com.something.helper.plist
Here something is a variable word, which can be different in each case. So far it has always been a string of letters without punctuation, such as "cloud," "dot," "highway," "submarine," or "trusteddownloads." Sometimes the word is "apple," and then you must be especially careful not to delete the wrong files, because many built-in OS X files have similar names.
If you find these files, leave the LaunchDaemons folder open, and open the following folder in the same way:
/Library/LaunchAgents
In this folder, there may be a file named
          com.something.agent.plist
where the word something is the same as before.
If you feel confident that you've identified the above files, back up all data, then drag just those three files—nothing else—to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password. Close the Finder windows and restart the computer.
Don't delete the "LaunchAgents" or "LaunchDaemons" folder or anything else inside either one.
The malware is now permanently inactivated, as long as you never reinstall it. You can stop here if you like, or you can remove two remaining components for the sake of completeness.
Open this folder:
/Library/Application Support
If it has a subfolder named just
           something
where something is the same word you saw before, drag that subfolder to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Application Support" folder or anything else inside it.
Finally, in this folder:
/System/Library/Frameworks
there may an item named exactly
            v.framework
It's actually a folder, though it has a different icon than usual. This item always has the above name. Drag it to the Trash and close the window.
Don't delete the "Frameworks" folder or anything else inside it.
If you didn't find the files or you're not sure about the identification, post what you found.
If in doubt, or if you have no backups, change nothing at all.
The trouble may have started when you downloaded and ran an application called "MPlayerX." That's the name of a legitimate free movie player, but the name is also used fraudulently to distribute VSearch. If there is an item with that name in the Applications folder, delete it, and if you wish, replace it with the genuine article from mplayerx.org.
This trojan is often found on illegal websites that traffic in pirated content such as movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect more of the same, and worse, to follow. Never install any software that you downloaded from a bittorrent, or that was downloaded by someone else from an unknown source.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Then, still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
          Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
or
          Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
if it's not already checked.

Fix Some Browser Pop-ups That Take Over Safari.
Common pop-ups include a message saying the government has seized your computer and you must pay to have it released (often called "Moneypak"), or a phony message saying that your computer has been infected, and you need to call a tech support number (sometimes claiming to be Apple) to get it resolved. First, understand that these pop-ups are not caused by a virus and your computer has not been affected. This "hijack" is limited to your web browser. Also understand that these messages are scams, so do not pay any money, call the listed number, or provide any personal information. This article will outline the solution to dismiss the pop-up.
Quit Safari
Usually, these pop-ups will not go away by either clicking "OK" or "Cancel." Furthermore, several menus in the menu bar may become disabled and show in gray, including the option to quit Safari. You will likely have to force quit Safari. To do this, press Command + option + esc, select Safari, and press Force Quit.
Relaunch Safari
If you relaunch Safari, the page will reopen. To prevent this from happening, hold down the 'Shift' key while opening Safari. This will prevent windows from the last time Safari was running from reopening.
This will not work in all cases. The shift key must be held at the right time, and in some cases, even if done correctly, the window reappears. In these circumstances, after force quitting Safari, turn off Wi-Fi or disconnect Ethernet, depending on how you connect to the Internet. Then relaunch Safari normally. It will try to reload the malicious webpage, but without a connection, it won't be able to. Navigate away from that page by entering a different URL, i.e. www.apple.com, and trying to load it. Now you can reconnect to the Internet, and the page you entered will appear rather than the malicious one.

How do I remove annoying popups on my MacBook Air?

Whenever I open Firefox and begin opening windows and just in general, go on the internet, annoying/suspicious adware popups appear. Usually it is the same one that comes in a blinking box and says you got a prize, open! (something annoying like that). My Mac has Adblock Lite on, and in my computers system preferences I put on the Firewall. Why do I seem to get all these annoying ads and what do I do to remove them? How do I stop the popup ads from hoping up everywhere?

Everytime I go on Safari, and open a webpage I go and start reading the article I want to read and next thing you know up pops an App or a game and my article I was trying to read is nowhere to be found! This is absolutely as frustrating as I can possibly get!! I can't read anything ever, because of the Apps and games popping up everywhere!! What can I do to stop this from happening?? This is not a good quality user experience with Apple products I'm having and am thinking about going back Android because even though the user experience isn't that much better there, its at least better than this pop up crap happening everytime I'm on Safari trying to read. How can I block Mackeeper popup?

Every time I boot and start browsing in my Mac Book Pro, a Mackeeper pop up opens behind the opened window. When I right-click tray icon or minimize opened window, that [pop up window appears, and it locks up Firefox when I try to close it. I need to restart FF to close pop up.

Is this coming up in it's own window, or Firefox?
