How do I remove my husband's icloud account from my new iPad?

Before I bought my iPad, I only had the iPhone so I was content to use my husband's apple account where we have all our music and apps.  Once I bought the iPad however, the primary iCloud account was set up with my husbands apple id.  I have since set up an iCloud account, but I can't set up a new apple account unless I want to lose all my apps and music.  What I want to do is set up my iPad with my iCloud as the primary account.  How can I do this without messing up my husband's iCloud account?  Please keep in mind I am NOT a technical person so if anyone can help, it has to be spelled out step by step!  Thanks!!

Settings > iCloud > Delete Account will only delete his account from your iPad. Then you can add your own.

  • How do I delete a student's iCloud account from a school iPad?

My school has iPads that we check out to students. They are all set up with the school's Apple ID. I've had a student set up her iCloud account on one of the iPads using her OLD Apple ID and now can't remember the password to remove it. The only thing set up using the student's appleID is the iCloud account. Is there a way to remove the student's iCloud account from the iPad?
The only things I'm allowed to select in the iCloud section of settings is the terms and conditions and the delete account. Everything else is unselectable. When i click "terms and conditions" I get the message: unable to connect to server. When I select "delete account" it wants the password that can't be remembered.
    Thanks for your help.

If the student can't remember her Apple ID, she'll need to try to recover it, either by this web page:
    https://iforgot.apple.com
or by calling Apple Support and asking to speak with Account Security. There's no way you can get past the Activation Lock without that student's Apple ID and password. If she can't recover the account and remove the iPad from her iCloud account, you may be able to contact Apple Support and with proof that the school owns the iPad there may be something Apple can do, though I've not confirmed that.

  • How do I remove my husband's itunes account from my computer? He moved it to his own laptop, want to get it off mine

My husband got a new laptop and moved his itunes over there. I want to move my itunes from my old laptop to this one, but can't figure out how to get his off of here first. I don't want to have both on here, he never uses this computer so I don't need to switch between them. I have a Dell laptop with Vista on it if that matters. Help?

Go to iTunes menu, STORE and sign out.  Then you can sign in from there or create a new account which should match the account you have on your iPad and iPhone.

  • TS3274 How do I remove hundred of photos and videos from my new iPad mini, that were downloaded via my iMac from an earlier iPad2 backup?

When restoring my old iPad2 (32G) via itunes on my iMac, thousands of pictures/videos from the last 2 years were downloaded along with apps and mail. The new mini is the 16G version and I am eating up memory with all these photos and videos. Selecting the photos in the iPad mini wont let me put them into trash.
How can I get rid of all these other albums and revert to just storing photos in my camera roll?

You have to connect the iPad to the Mac and deselect the photos in the Photos tab of iTunes and follow that with a sync in order to remove the photos.
Connect the iPad to the Mac and launch iTunes.
Select your iPad from Devices in the upper right or in the left sidebar of iTunes, if the sidebar is enabled.
Click on the Photos tab in the iTunes window on the right.
Uncheck all of the albums and videos that you want to remove under the Sync Photos from heading.
Click on Apply in the lower right corner of iTunes.
If you want to remove all photos, uncheck the "Sync Photos From" heading and then click on Apply. If you can't see the sidebar, go to View>Show sidebar from the iTunes menu at the top.

  • How can i remove my icloud account from my sons ipad?

can i remove my icloud account from my sons ipad?  I just discovered he is getting all of my text messages on his ipad!

You can, but that isn't why he's getting your text messages.  That's being caused by using the same Apple ID for iMessage.  Have him go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a different ID.  To avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls, have him do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime.
Note: you can still share the same ID for other services such as your iTunes store account even though you are using different IDs for iMessage and FaceTime.

  • What will happen if I delete my husband's iCloud account from my iPad?

What will happen if I delete my husband's iCloud account from my iPad?

You can delete the iCloud Account from your device but that doesn’t delete your account on iCloud.com. You can still use the user name and password you selected when signing up for iCloud to log in on the iCloud website.

  • HT204053 How does one go about creating an icloud account from itunes ID?

How does one go about creating an icloud account from itunes ID?  I don't seem to get past the reset password options for mi itunes ID.

You can't create an iCloud account on a PC. You must create the account on a Mac running Lion or newer, or an IOS device.

  • I'm setting up a PC for someone else and I have to access my iCloud account from this new system

All I want to do is get into my iCloud account from a different system (pc) that is new so I can set it up. it is so locked up with "we need your name" that I hate buying anything with new OS. It;'s all in your bank account on your street in your bedroom. invasive.

If the old ID is yours, and if your current ID was created by editing the details of this old ID (rather than being an entirely new ID), go to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID.  Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change.  Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address.  You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll.  When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud).  Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was.  Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

  • How can I sign out of my iCloud account from a macbook I no longer have access to?

I got a new macbook recently and neglected to sign out of my iCloud account on the old macbook before I erased and reset it.  Now eveytime I open a new Safari page on my iPhone, both macbooks show up with the Safari windows that are still "open".  I want to remove my old mac from my iCloud account and have removed it from Find My iPhone but the Safari link still shows up.  This is driving me bonkers.

If you mean the iCloud tabs for your old Mac, these will normally be cleared after 14 days.  Give it a couple of weeks and see if they don't disappear on their own.
    From http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5372:
"If you no longer have access to the device that shared the tab, the tab will automatically be cleared from the list after 14 days, if the tab is not updated."
Also, seeing the iCloud tab doesn't mean it's still signed into your account.  It just means that the tab hasn't been cleared yet.  If you completely erased it should no longer be signed into your account.

You cannot remove the iCloud account without the password if the iPhone is running iOS 7 (check under Settings > General > About > Version). You can sign out of the App Store under Settings > iTunes & App Stores. This part does not require their password.

  • How do I remove a strange Apple ID Account from IPad?

When I bought my IPad 3,  I gave it to an installer in Dubail to download and install applications in my iPad and he did while also setting up the iPad initially. It appears the installer used his own apple Id in doing the initial download and set up which I did not realize then. Now each time I try to download any application in my iPad, the installer Id appears and I am prompted to enter his password. No matter how I try, my own Id does not appear and so can not be prompted to enter my own password. How do I delete the installer Id to enable my Own ID and password to be prompted when I download applications?  Please help me solve this problem as I can not download any application now.

The easiest way is to go into your  (settings)  then to (general) and near the bottom you''ll see ( ' reset ' )
You can reset your device without losing any email, texts, photos, apps, etc. All the reset does is
revert your device to the point before you made any setting choices such as:
    wallpaper
    volume
text modes ( on/off ) automatic spell check, caps, etc.
screen brightness, etc. all the changes made to the factory presets
I had to do this to my new iPad(3) and it worked like a charm.
It only took a few minutes to go back in and change
all the preference items back to my specific design choices.
    Best of luck!

  • How do I remove my sister's email/account from my Apple ID account so she can make a new one for herself?

    Hello,
Currently my sister and I share an Apple ID account under my email. How can I keep my current Apple ID and just remove her from mine so she can create her own?
    Thanks!

All she has to do is create the apple ID at id.apple.com (or anywhere else) and then on her device go into Settings > iTunes and App Store and sign out. She will then need to go into Settings > iCloud and sign out there. She should then check Settings > Messages and Settings > FaceTime to make sure your Apple ID is not signed in there. She should then be able to sign in to her own Apple ID in all the previously mentioned settings.
If you are asking "How can my sister use her own Apple ID but retain the purchases she's made using mine", there isn't a way to do that. She'll be able to use and play the music and apps, but will not be able to restore the apps to the phone or update them unless she signs in with your password. Purchases cannot be moved from one account to another.
