How do I remove or hide lightroom default presets. I NEVER use them and just want to delete, or hide them.

What Jim said. I mean, there is a way to hack the program to get rid of them, but then they come back next update - not worth it in my opinion.

In opening some documents, Preview is the default for opening. I want to change it to a different program. How is that done?

To both: I cannot make this change stick in order to use my old Snow Leopard Preview app to open docs instead of the Preview that comes with Lion. However, my level of success in removing powerlines using this tool has been effectively zero, as the result never looks natural. Whether that's because I'm not using it properly, or the tool is poor choice for powerlines, is unknown to me. You would definitely have more success removing powerlines using Photoshop.

I discovered something called the "Start Now" toolbar in my programs was the culprit. I had to uninstall it from the control panel before it went away.

Using the edit properties i have unchecked all the controls, even though i can see the hide column option in the dashboard report. User should not have access on report controls. How can i remove the hide column option.

I see it now.
You need to change the config of your radio buttons in the transaction itself.
Goto CRM_SURVEY_SUITE, locate your survey, click on the change button ( a pencil) this will take you to the survey configuration.
There navigation to the section in the left hand pane that corresponds to the radio buttons. And you will see Yes and No for answers to the questions. Double click on each of them to display on the right side work area and change the property 'Selected' (which is a check box) to unchecked.
This should be easy.

Hiding Lightroom Presets

Is there any way of hiding the default Lightroom presets? I never use them and they take up a lot of panel space. I have a feeling we can't and it would be nice to be able to.

No, there isn't really. You can collapse the the panel by clicking on the small triangle - for instance the triangle at the heading "Lightroom BW Filter presets", or even on the triangle at the panel heading "Presets" but you can't remove the inbuilt presets.
Others have tried this and somehow Lr re-builds the presets next time it is started.

When the triangle is pointing to the right the Presets panel is collapses. When it is pointing down it is expanded.
You most probably kew this already.

OK, so I have had this issue for the past several months. I think it all started when I upgraded to ML from SL and migrated my calendars and contacts to iCloud. That was a couple months ago. But now I am running 10.8.2, and about two weeks ago I upgraded my iOS devices to 6.0.1.
I don't seem to be having any issues with events that I create now, but all those old events that were migrated to iCloud a couple months ago, many of those sound alerts on the iOS devices even though there was no alert defined when the event was originally created. I have always had alerts off by default both in iCal and on the iOS devices.
So here's the question: is there a way to go through and disable all these spurious event alerts? I've been disabling them as the event reminders come up, but it's irritating. It would be nice if there was a way to turn them off all in one shot somehow.

By selection screen do you mean the select-options reusable component? If so, then there is an API of the component that you can call to disable these fields. Use the SET_GLOBAL_OPTIONS method of the select-options API to acomplish this:

The iPhone does not store email addresses for received mail. The iPhone stores all email addressees for sent mail in a list of previous recipients. The list of previous recipients is not synced with Outlook or any address book, but the list of previous recipients is included with the iPhone's backup which is updated by iTunes as the first step during the iTunes sync process. The auto-addrss feature pulls from your contacts on the iPhone and from the list of previous recipients.
Different from the Mail.app on a Mac, there is no access to the list of previous recipients on the iPhone to remove a previous recipient from the list, or to add a previous recipient to contacts that is not already entered - not at the present time anyway.
The only way to purge the existing list at the present time is by restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.
Hopefully access to the list of previous recipients will be included with the iOS 5 update.
