How Do I Remove OS X Yosemite Recovery Update After It's Downloaded?

The question is simple: I installed the update from the App Store and my computer is running at a noticeably slower speed and I'm not interested in the new iPhoto. How do I remove this update????

I'm running 10.10. How do I remove OS X Yosemite Beta 4 as an update in App Store?
++++++
I ran a few versions of the Yosemite Beta, but once it went public, I upgraded to the latest public version, and have continued to do so.
I'm currently running OS X 10.10 (re-confirmed by just checking About This Mac), but my App Store keeps showing me Yosemite Beta 4 as an available OX update for me to install?
How do I get this removed from my App Store upgrade tab?
-Rick

Hi Rick,
When you resign from the Beta program, give it some time for the system to update. I am sure, that if you check again a day later you would have been removed.
Have you removed the Feedback assistant?
Have fun with the Mac

• OS X Yosemite Recovery Update 1.0 - Reappears in App Store Updates?

Hi there,
I've just updated OS X Yosemite to 10.10.3 and have noticed that OS X Yosemite Recovery Update 1.0 does not seem to complete its installation for some reason. I now have versions installed on April 12, April 13, and April 18, and still have the same update showing up again. I've patched to the Supplemental Update and still have the Recovery Update 1.0 showing as awaiting installation.
Any suggestions as to how to get this update to take? Anyone else experienced this? If so, what did you do to fix it?
Thanks!

Hey, gang. Still suffering from the same problem.
Have tried all of your suggestions (exiting and signing in/out of app store, file vault (which was never turned on in the first place), and unmounting any external disks).
Still stuck. Guhhhhh.
Also, for the record, after signing out of the App Store, the update did the exact same thing even when I wasn't logged in. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

• How do I remove my credit card from my account and still download free apps. Bc that card is no more good anymore the App Store will not let me download any apps . I no longer have a credit or debit card.so PLS help

How do I remove my credit card from my account and still download free apps? because that card is no more good anymore the App Store will not let me download any apps . I no longer have a credit or debit card.so PLS help

On your iPad tap on your id in Settings > iTunes & App Store and tap on 'View Apple ID' on the popup and log into your account - that should give you a payments link on your account's page. Or on your computer's iTunes you should be able to edit your payment info by going into the Store > View Account menu option and logging into your account, and on your account's details page there should also be a payment link.
Changing payment info : Change or remove your payment information from your iTunes Store account (Apple ID)
If you don't get the 'none' option on the payment details screen : Why can’t I select None when I edit my Apple ID payment information?

• How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id?

How do I remove an app from the update list that is under someone else's apple id? So this way the update always fails because it asks for someone else's password. I don't have the app on my mac, it only appears in the update list. It's just annoying, because the update keeps appearing, and the reminder keeps reminding me that I should install a new update.

You installed a hacked app, originally from the Mac App Store. It contains the receipt for a different app, downloaded using an account that you don't control. You need to identify and remove the hacked app.
Important: The app you need to remove is not necessarily the one named in the App Store alert. For example, the App Store may prompt you to update "Angry Birds" or "Twitter," but the hacked app may be something else entirely. Don't make any assumptions about which app you're looking for. To find it, you must carry out a systematic search with Spotlight.
1. Triple-click anywhere in the line of text below on this page to select it:
kMDItemAppStoreHasReceipt=1
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
2. In the Finder, press command-F to open a search window, or select
File ▹ Find
from the menu bar. In the search window, select
Search: This Mac
from the row of tokens below the toolbar. Below that is a popup menu of search criteria, initially showing Kind. From that menu, select
Other...
A sheet will drop down. In that sheet, select
Raw Query
as the criterion, then click OK or press return.
Now there will be a text box to the right of the menu of search criteria. That's where you enter the raw search query. Click in that box and paste the text you copied earlier by pressing command-V.
4. The search window will now show all the App Store products that are installed. Compare those search results with the list of your purchases from the App Store. To see the complete list, you may need to unhide hidden purchases. If any apps were download from the App Store using other Apple ID accounts that you control, sign in to the store under each of those ID's and check the purchases.
At least one of the apps in the Spotlight search results is not among your purchases in the App Store. Move each such item to the Trash, after quitting it if it's running. You may be prompted for your administrator password. Empty the Trash.
Quit and relaunch the App Store. Test.
If you find these instructions confusing, ask for an alternative method.

• How can I remove the repetitive multiple daily updates from Mozilla

Hello
How can I remove the repetitive multiple daily updates from Mozilla?
Within a day, each day I get prompts as: Mozilla Firefox Update is ready to install at your computer.........then I do install and update it.......then after few minutes again it asks to update the same edition.........again after logging in back few hours later it prompts me again with the same request........IT IS VERY ANNOYING!
Thank You,
Gene

You could allow the update to proceed - that will stop Mozilla from asking if you want to update every time you launch Firefox, as is supposed to happen.
Any particular reason that you don't want Firefox 35.0.1 to be installed?

Hi The EDmeister,
Thank you for your response.
Nevertheless, I have to repeat that I have ALREADY INSTALLED the Firefox 35.0.1 in my computer and ALLOWED IT TO PROCEED.
The same edition is prompting me back again, and again and again, within a day, each day. I get that annoying message at the top-right hand.
I do not want to see it every time, multiple times a day, that is the issue here, unresolved!
Best regards,
Gene

• IMail problem after latest OS Yosemite Recovery update (@09.04.2015), OS X update, itunes update

Hi,
I have a problem. After the latest update of OS X Yosemite, Yosemite Recovery update and iTunes I have a big problem. I mail is not lunching, it says that it is identifying message conversations and it will take few minutes... But it has been all day. The situation does not change even after restarting the system. Forcing to quit and reopening the iMail does not help also.
What is the solution?
Have anyone had something similar?
Any ideas?!
Thank you in advance, looking forward for some advice.

Try a restart.
Do a backup, using either Time Machine or a cloning program, to ensure files/data can be recovered. Two backups are better than one.
Try setting up another admin user account to see if the same problem continues. If Back-to-My Mac is selected in System Preferences, the Guest account will not work. The intent is to see if it is specific to one account or a system wide problem. This account can be deleted later.
Isolating an issue by using another user account
Try booting into the Safe Mode using your normal account. Disconnect all peripherals except those needed for the test. Shut down the computer and then power it back up after waiting 10 seconds. Immediately after hearing the startup chime, hold down the shift key and continue to hold it until the gray Apple icon and a progress bar appear and again when you log in. The boot up is significantly slower than normal. This will reset some caches, forces a directory check, and disables all startup and login items, among other things. When you reboot normally, the initial reboot may be slower than normal. If the system operates normally, there may be 3rd party applications which are causing a problem. Try deleting/disabling the third party applications after a restart by using the application un-installer. For each disable/delete, you will need to restart if you don’t do them all at once.

• After installing OS X Yosemite Recovery Update Version 1.0 15/04/15 Macbook pro has very slow start up

After installing the OS X Yosemite Recovery Update Version 1.0 on the 15/04/2015, my Macbook Pro is very slow at start up . I have an Macbook Pro 13 inch Mid 2012. i5 2.5GHz cpu 16GB 1600 MHz DDR3, 512GB SSD as main system drive.
Before the update as soon as I would switch it on, I would see the Apple Logo, then the screen would go to users log in. Now after update, when I switch on, I will get a blank white screen for up to 60 seconds or more before going onto the Apple logo.
Can anybody help with this, as the reason I came over to OS X was the speed of it. I might as well go back over if this Macbook Pro is going to be as slow as a Windows laptop .
Any help to get my speedy boot up back, would be grateful.

• Since installing OS X Yosemite recovery update v.1 on 10/04/15 I have had "Back-up failure" messages. Last successful back-up was 10/04/15 before update. Any suggestions?

Since installing:
a) OS X Yosemite Recovery update v.1; b) OS X Update v.10.10.3 & c) iTunes v.12.1.2 on 10/04/15I have been getting this message.
"Back up Failed - There is not enough space on Time Machine Backup"
The last successful back-up was on the 10/04/15 presumably just prior to these new updates.
Any suggestions?

Time Machine automatically deletes old snapshots to make room for new ones, but it won't delete the last previous snapshot of any disk.
Are you storing any other data on the backup volume, or have you ever backed up another disk or computer to it that you no longer have? If the answer to both these questions in "no," then there isn't enough space on the volume for all the data you want to back up.
If you are storing other data, or if you have backups of a volume you no longer need, you should move or delete that data to make room for more. Alternatively, put the device aside and start a new backup on another storage device. When you're sure you'll no longer need the data on the first device, erase it and start over.

• App Store Update Stuck/Looping - Yosemite Recovery Update 1.0

My system seems to be in an infinite loop trying to install the Yosemite Recovery Update 1.0. At first, it seems like the download is complete and when I click on install, the button immediately turns o "Installed", then shows up in the list of apps updated over the past 30 days but pops back up as an update again with an Update button - starts downloading again, and the downloading seems to never end (ultra slow).
I've tried emptying the temporary folders for anything related to the App Store Updates, rebooting and clearing NVRAM, nothing has worked. I have also tried finding a link to download this update directly but could not find it. I had the same issue when updating to 10.10.3 OS X but used the combo download link to get around the issue and that part of the update is now resolved.
Any ideas/suggestions?
Thanks

Tried your suggestion including a reboot, no changes. I have attached a screenshot showing the repeat loop and now the download never seems to complete. Every time I turn my machine back on, it tries resuming the download from where it last left off. This isn't a network issue as I have blazing fast speeds in everything else I do and when I downloaded the OS X 10.10.3 update manually, it went super fact.
Something seems to be stuck or gone haywire in the App Store update. I also tried deleted all the temp files in the temporary directory related to the App Store but still no changes. Also tried a safeboot and doing it from there, no go. Open to any/all suggestions. Thanks

• I started to download Yosemite. After reading reviews changed my mind, my macbook is 2007. How do I remove what little yosemite downloaded. I cant get rid of the icon it just says "paused".

SubjecSummary of your question
I don't want yosemite. It only down loaded a small portion before I changed my mind. Still on the desktop even though i put it in trash and emptied trash. icon says "paused" MY mac is 2009 too old for yosemite. How can I remove what has been downloaded?

MY mac is 2009 too old for yosemite.
Yosemite will run on that computer. Try quitting the App Store and then control click on the installer - Move to Trash. The installer should be in your Applications folder.

• How do you remove voice memos from the iPod after downloading it to iTunes?

first of all, which model of voice recorder is best for the 5G video 30 gb iPod? I have heard of Griffin iTalk and Belkin Universal Microphone Adapter, but i'm leaning towards the iTalk b'c it looks cheaper on Amazon and eBay. does anyone suggest anything along those lines?
and also, after recording voice memos (like class lectures and such) onto the iPod and downloading them to iTunes, how do i remove them from the iPod? do i have to make them a different program file (like windows media player, and not iTunes)?
