How do I remove Snapdo software from my mozilla firefox browser bar?

I accidently installed some software called 'snapdo' onto my computer a short while ago which did a few annoying things. It changed my hope page to their website. Changed my Firefox search bar to the search engine. I have so for managed to solve these problem but the problem I've still got is that if I put a search word rather than a web address in the fire fox browser bar it still take me to this page: http://search.snap.do
Please would you help me fix this problem?
Thanks Pete

Install the [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/searchreset/ Search Reset Tool]. This should remove snapdo from Firefox.

Does this fix your problem?

As usual I answer my own questions. I created a Local Software Product based on an .htm file in the Program Files folder that never changes with the version we have. Lame.

• How can I remove livesearch from the Mozilla Firefox browser window?

Somehow I got the live-search malware embedded into the Firefox browser window. I have tried to remove it using SuperAntiSpyware, Spybot-S7D, and Malwarebyte. Plus ran AVG. Did all four of these several times. But I still have livesearch.
How do I get rid of it? Will uninstalling Firefox and the reinstalling it work. If I uninstall Firefox and reinstalling it, will I loos all my bookmarks?
Please Help!
Thanks,

Generally speaking, uninstalling and reinstalling Firefox doesn't solve most problems unless you remove all your personal settings, which I definitely do NOT recommend.
These kinds of infiltrations can take some effort to remove. To make it easier, Firefox now had a "reset" feature which preserves your bookmarks but strips away custom settings and extensions, which are the source of most problems.
You could try manually removing the "Printing Helper" extension and resetting your search settings first. If these don't help, then try the reset.
orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons > Extensions category
Then run the Search Reset extension from here:
https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/searchreset/

• How do I remove spy software from my iPhone 4?

I believe that I have spy software on my phone. From what I have seen advertised online phone calls, numbers, SMS/MMS and email can all be monitored. The iPhone 4 is one of the smart phones listed on these various sites. How can I find out if this software is indeed on my phone and how can I get rid of it? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

you have to check your phone in some of the privete labs places they can help you with that problem.

• How do I remove red tint from pictures on Firefox?

Anytime I surf the web in Internet Explorer or Chrome, pictures look normal. But when I search the web half of the time pictures have a red tint to them. Also if I upload a normal picture from my hard drive to a website through Firefox it will turn the picture a red tint. I can take a screencap of this if you need me to. How do I fix this?
== This happened ==
Every time Firefox opened
== A year ago, no idea what triggered it.

This can be caused by a problem with the color profile for your display monitor or color profiles embedded in images.
You can disable color management to test that.
You can set the pref '''gfx.color_management.mode''' to ''0'' on the ''about:config'' page to disable Color Management.
You need to close and restart Firefox or maybe even reboot the computer to make the change effective.
See http://kb.mozillazine.org/gfx.color_management.mode
See https://developer.mozilla.org/En/ICC_color_correction_in_Firefox

Caveats: The new QCMS color management system introduced in Firefox 3.5 currently only supports ICC version 2 color profiles, not version 4.

• My computer crashed but I was able to rescue my files. How can I transfer my bookmarks from the old Firefox browser and install them in the new computer? I can't find the bookmark file in the old browser.

I'm transferring my files from a HP laptop to a Dell desktop because the HP crushed. I installed Firefox 8 in the Dell computer (I had the Firefox 5 -I believe- in the HP). I'm looking for the old bookmarks file in the old computer but I don't find them. Where are they? I'll appreciate your help because I had a pretty good collection of bookmarks. Sadly I didn't back up them on time.

That's great, matthungo, I'm glad it worked and you've got your Bookmarks back. Wishing you and yours a wonderful and blessed Holiday season as well!

How do I remove my photo from my text messages? Android RazrM.
Help! It is driving me crazy. Thank you.

Thanks, but this information was not useful. First it was outdated (2012 and the software is 2013/2104) in the Settings/Apps/All section there was no "Text Messaging" icon. Under "Phone/Messaging" the clear cache was not possible, it was not available, an active option.
VERIZON/GOOGLE - I am still hoping to learn how to remove my photo from my text messages - why is this so difficult? Why is something like this added without my permission or at my request? May be a reason to jump ship to iOS.

Hi,
Follow the steps below to delete the Software component:
1. Delete the created Data Types, Message Types, Message Interfaces, Message Mappings, Interface Mappings and other imported objects like RFC's or IDoc's. Activate all changes.
2. Then delete the namespace and the default datatypes present with the namespace after checking "objects are modifiable".
3. Then delete the SW component, after placing the radio button in "Not permitted".

how do I remove "DNA Software tethered shooting demo for A99" disclaimer from all my images during capture?

I guess the obvious answer is PURCHASE the DNA Software so it won't be a demo unless you have already purchased it and it still won't work and in that case you should contact DNA Software.

How do I remove old applications from my new Macbook Pro that were part of the data that was migrated over from my older iMac?
Thanks

If the applications were originally drag and drop installations you can simply drag them to the trash and empty. If they were installed by an installer there should be an uninstaller included. If you're not sure you should check with the software developer for instructions. In this case Google can be your friend.

• How can I remove "ClientConnect" software?

Hi-
Recently, in an automotive web forum, a poster offered to the general public a PDF version of the shop manuals for a type of Subaru car. Since I own one of these, and it isn't getting any younger, I thought it might be a good idea to have on my computer since I work on my cars myself.
I tried to download the files, but repeatedly could not. Apparently, I needed to download some sort of reader software that I hadn't heard of before. It used a symbol similar to QuickTime, though it obviously wasn't. Weighing the possibility of problems versus the advantage of having the manuals, I downloaded the reader.
And that's when the problems started!
In Safari, my page is TOTALLY corrupted. You cannot remove Safari and re-install it on my MacBook Pro [mountain lion], so now the page looks completely different and uses "Bing" as the search engine, despite the fact that I have the setting set for Google! EVERY time I click on something to open [including on the Apple website!] it takes me to some advertisement, including for one called "MacKeeper", which wants to clean my computer. The same thing happens in Chrome, even after completely removing it and re-installing!
Bite me once shame on you; Bite me twice shame on ME. I don't think so!
I'm serious, I had literally 13 advertisements open as a completely new tab/window in order to just get to THIS web forum and register! This whole thing is called "ClientConnect", and it is actually NOT considered a virus, if you can believe it. It is considered "very aggressive adware", for whatever the difference actually is!
OK, my Chrome is muddled too. When I open a website such as CNN's, about 25% of the words in an article are green and double underlined, and if the cursor so much as passes over these then an advertisement will pop up and take over the whole page! This is INSANE!
Q: How do I remove this software, which I have found to be called "ClientConnect"? There are tutorials online about removing it from Windows machines, but I cannot find one about removing it from the Mac.
Suggestions? Thanx in advance!
T!

You installed the "DownLite" trojan, perhaps under a different name. Remove it as follows.
Malware is constantly changing to get around the defenses against it. The instructions in this comment are valid as of now, as far as I know. They won't necessarily be valid in the future. Anyone finding this comment a few days or more after it was posted should look for more recent discussions or start a new one.
Back up all data.
Triple-click anywhere in the line below on this page to select it:
/Library/LaunchAgents/com.vsearch.agent.plist
Right-click or control-click the line and select
Services ▹ Reveal in Finder (or just Reveal)
from the contextual menu.* A folder should open with an item named "VSearch" selected. Drag the selected item to the Trash. You may be prompted for your administrator login password.
Repeat with each of these lines:
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.daemon.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/com.vsearch.helper.plist
/Library/LaunchDaemons/Jack.plist
Restart the computer and empty the Trash. Then delete the following items in the same way:
/Library/Application Support/VSearch
/Library/PrivilegedHelperTools/Jack
/System/Library/Frameworks/VSearch.framework
~/Library/Internet Plug-Ins/ConduitNPAPIPlugin.plugin
Some of these items may be absent, in which case you'll get a message that the file can't be found. Skip that item and go on to the next one.
From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Extensions
Uninstall any extensions you don't know you need, including any that have the word "Spigot" or "Conduit" in the description. If in doubt, uninstall all extensions. Do the equivalent for the Firefox and Chrome browsers, if you use either of those.
This trojan is distributed on illegal websites that traffic in pirated movies. If you, or anyone else who uses the computer, visit such sites and follow prompts to install software, you can expect much worse to happen in the future.
You may be wondering why you didn't get a warning from Gatekeeper about installing software from an unknown developer, as you should have. The reason is that the DownLite developer has a codesigning certificate issued by Apple, which causes Gatekeeper to give the installer a pass. Apple could revoke the certificate, but as of this writing, has not done so, even though it's aware of the problem. This failure of oversight is inexcusable and has compromised both Gatekeeper and the Developer ID program. You can't rely on Gatekeeper alone to protect you from harmful software.
*If you don't see the contextual menu item, copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. In the Finder, select
Go ▹ Go to Folder...
from the menu bar and paste into the box that opens by pressing command-V. You won't see what you pasted because a line break is included. Press return.
