HOW do I remove SPs after uncompressing BUT before applying???

I've uncompressed some Support Packages that I do not need to apply ... ie. IS-OIL, I accidently unpacked this item and do not have to apply it.

Hi Maria,
Decompressing .SAR or .CAR file is nothing but creating the .ATT and .PAT files in the OS level. it's by default compressed to DIR_TRANS\eps\in. (the same thing is done by putting .SAR file in /trans and then uncar by sapcar to /trans/eps/in.. in the case of uncar by sapcar tool in the server)
If you don't need to apply that, then its okay.. not mandatory to delete the .att and .pat files. but if you don't want something to stay on your trans folder unnecessarily, then you may search for those .ATT and .PAT of IS-OIL then delete them manually.
.ATT gives the attributes of the patch.. you can know by reading it which one is for IS-OIL.
or the easiest way would be to take the .CAR or .SAR file somewhere in a dummy folder and uncar there by sapcar tool to see the exact .att and .pat files and then search for the same files in /trans/eps/in folder and delete.

I have 2 things to mention.
(1)It is possible to do so if I open the document in Acrobat 8.
(2) Is there any work around solution for X-pro ?
I create a draft document and send it for approval with “draft” watermark.
I receive it back after approval with the approver’s signature.
Then I have to remove the “draft” watermark.
How can I do it?

Discounts at after ED but before VAT

My requirement is, Discounts at two stages - before ED & after ED but before VAT,Normaly ed and tax(vat) are calculated automatically from tax process.
              But my requirement is,
                                      Gross price-1000
                                     discount 10%- 100,1000-100=900
                                      ED 10% -90, 900+90=990
                          2nd discount 10%-from 990 it is 99, 990-99=891
                              VAT 4%-from 891 it is 35.64
                                           Total,891+35.64=926.64

Taking you answer into consideration i have below excersice.
Subtotal '6' to Freight and Discount conditions
362 routine to BASB conditon type in OBQ3
363 routine to VAT condition in OBQ3
it will work perfect in case of Discount after ED before VAT. but in case of Freight after ED bfroe VAT its not working.
Since 362 routine, will do minus '6' subtotal value and plus '4' vlaue.
If we add freight component to condition then system will reduce amount from BASB. that is practicly we dont wan't.

During a weding shoot the leans release button brok. How do i remove the leans?

You may need to call Canon.
The mounting ring on the lens has a tiny hole in it. The lens flange on the body has a tiny spring-loaded pin. When you mount a lens (red dot on lens lining up with red dot on body) that pin is pressed into the mounting flange until you rotate the lens far enough that the hole aligns with the pin and the pin locks into the hole. The sole purpose of the lens release button is to retract the locking pin.
When you press the button, it pushes against a metal tab which pulls the locking pin back. You may actually be able to see a tiny bit of that tab on the lens-facing side of the release button (through the tiny gap where the button fits into the body.) If you can press that metal tab back, it will release the pin.
The release mechanism is fairly simple... it seems as if it'd be hard to break. If the lens is trying to twist (somehow jammed) then it can make it so that the pin does NOT want to retract. If I attempt to rotate a lens which is locked on my camera body I can feel just a very tiny amount of play (which is normal.) If you're lens is jammed in and putting sideways pressure on the pin then it probably wont have any play at all - and that might make it hard to press the lens release.

I am very new to Lightroom 5. I immediately imported all my photos from "Mu Pictures" and then learned from a tutorial that I could set up "naming" to be added as I imported. How do I remove them so that I can re-import them with the naming feature set up?

Go to the Catalog tab at the top of the left hand panel and click on All Photographs.
Press Ctrl+A to select all and then hit delete.
Just remove from catalog and not from disk.

When importing XML, how do I remove lines with labels but no content?

I am working on a directory whose content is supplied as an XML file. I've created an automatic layout with static text/labels for contact details (e.g. Phone, Fax).
When I import the file, superfluous lines with the static text and no content are created. I have 'Delete elements, frames and content that do not match imported XML' checked.
Is there a way of avoid creating these? I've tried doing a search and replace to remove these but this causes quite a few other problems.

Did you create the posted XML file by extracting it from a larger file you've been using successfully? I ask because there seem to be a couple of problems with it which make me wonder how you got it to work at all, at least with the provided InDesign file's XML structure:
The immediate child element of the "root" element in the XML document is one called "step2 ". All of the values with which you are concerned are children of that "step2" element, and yet the structure in the InDesign document contains no "step2" element. As a result, when I import, I get nothing at all in my InDesign document's content (though the data are in the XML structure, buried in a newly-created "step2" element.
In both the XML and the InDesign document's XML structure, you have two different elements which are both named the exactly the same - "description" - (actually, in the XML document, there are three of them). When InDesign imports XML, it stops after the first "match" that it finds, so this will not work in any way that I imagine you intend it to. Based on the content of your InDesign document, I would think there ought to be two separate elements in your XML - named something like "step_description" and "category_description".
If, after getting this all straightened out, your question is how to somehow make the text of an empty element (e.g., <description></description>) disappear in the imported result, there are a few possibilities:
Get rid of the text inside the tag markers in your template/base document - for example, instead of having "[step_description]" (where the "[]" represent the tag markers), just make it be "[]". That way, if there is no text value for "step_description", there will be no text left after the import. However, if you put a end-of-paragraph in your template/base file, that will still be there. In most cases, that's not desired, so you might want to put the empty tag ("[]") in the text flow without a carriage return/line break. If you do that, you will need to include the carriage return in the XML data (which admittedly slightly violates the notion of separating presentation from content). Rather than the xml looking like this:
<step_description>This is the text of my step description.</step_description> you would need to make it be this:
<step_description>This is the text of my step description.</step_description>
(having added "" to represent the carriage return (ASCII character 13).
As above, make the tag an empty one, include the carriage return in your InDesign template/base document, and then write (or have written) a script to run after the XML import to deal with such empty tag cases.
Upgrade to InDesign CS3, CS4, or soon, CS5, so you can take advantage of the "XML Rules" feature which was introduced in CS3. XML Rules will essentially allow you to automate the second option - running a script - as the XML import is taking place.
Excuse the long (and probably unclear) post. If I've misunderstood your question, then please excuse it doubly...

I have taken the opposite approach. My iTunes library and I have the same problem if it has not been mounted when iTunes launches. I created an Automator app that mounts the music then launches iTunes. Try mounting the drive the launch Automator to create the following workflow.
1. Connect to server and select the external drive.
2. Us the Launch Application step to launch iTunes.
Unmount the external drive and test the workflow. If it works save the workflow as an app and use that to launch iTunes.

I used my iTunes player to sign into my friend's account and upload a bunch of Cds for him as he has no PC. I then synced the tracks to his iPad. Now, when I sign into my own iTunes account, the songs are there as well. When I delete them from my own list, they are also deleted from his. How can I get the tracks to delete from my own playlist but not his? (NB The iPad and PC are not connected when I do this).

Put a copy of that music on a second external drive; if desired, then delete it from your iTunes library. The music will remain associated with the original Apple ID; iTunes libraries are separate from iTunes Store accounts.

Selling MBP - how do I remove all personal info but leave apps?

Sorry for the newbie question.
I just bought a new MBP and sold my old one. I want to leave the installed apps on my old MBP (running 10.5.7) but make sure that all of my personal info, data, etc. is gone.
I'm not familiar enough with accounts on a Mac (I've never gone through the process of deleting one) but will the following accomplish what I want to do?:
1) Create a new user account for the new owner. Make that account an Administrator.
2) Reboot and log in as the new user.
3) Delete my current/old user account.
4) Start Disk Utility and use the "Erase Free Space" function.
So I guess my biggest question is in #3 above. When I delete my current/old user account, what does it wipe out and what does it leave behind?
I know my other option is to wipe the whole thing out and install from the OS X CD's that came with the MBP and then re-instal all the software but I'd rather not have to go to that extreme if possible.

The very best way to do this is to do a complete Erase and Install with the original system disc. You can do any additional erasing before that.
What about the apps? Provide the seller with the original discs of those too, and let them reinstall them. Note that with some companies you will want to fill out a Transfer of License so that legal ownership and rights to future upgrade discounts are transferred to the new owner and don't remain with you, because that would screw the new owner if they tried to get an upgrade and they couldn't because it was still registered to you.
I would not sell a machine that hasn't been completely wiped. I want all traces of me off that thing. And that includes any confusion as to the legal ownership of the apps you are selling with the machine.

How to filter on an aggregate measure but before aggergation is applied?

When I include a measure in filter section (for eg: sale_amount > 10000 ), while having marked the measure with default aggregation as SUM in the BMM layer of RPD, I see the filter gets applies on the aggregated value. ie, the filter is applied after aggregating the sale_amount. But the requirement is to filter and identify the rows with sale_amount > 10000 and then aggregate. To accomplish this, I do not want to expose sale_amount two times in the presentation layer (once with aggregation enabled in BMM and another without aggregation), as this will confuse my power user community.
How can this be done?

Try using 'FILTER USING' on your measures column for this requirement. This one sends the filter as a where clause in the query, by which the database would apply the where clause first to retrieve the records then would perform a summation on it.
