Yes get google maps BUT don't give up on Apple Maps either. Though Google has a massive points of interest data base, Apple maps can find and navigate to a lot of places too. I am finding I like apple maps and use it to navigate while driving all the time. It does pick routes around my local traffic jams as my normal route home is uder massive construction but only 50% of the time.
My Suggestion use a little of both. And if you want a real navigation app, try Motion-x GPS Drive. It has a night mode, great search (bing maps), lane assist, a speed limit and speddometer gauge, its a real navigation app for real driving. It's only 10/year.
Anyhow, don't totally give up on Apple. It's native baked in abilities will quickly grow (I used Motion-x for two years and the features have massivley grown and I enjoyed it).
Certainly no need to ever own a seperate GPS unit ever again.

Apple's Maps app uses vector graphics, so it doesn't have to download data everytime your view changes, & also has an offline mode...you can download quite a large area over WiFi & then use this cache to navigate.
So, I really wouldn't worry too much about its data usage. Most tests I've read indicate it uses about 80% less data than Google Maps.

You can't remove it because the app is part of the system update and any app that is part of the software cannot be removed.
You can only hide it in a folder so that you can't see it.

Apple has always included a way to "report a problem" in iOS 6 Maps, but because it does so in the context of Yelp local search information, it's not readily obvious that this button is for reporting map errors rather than just filing a grievance against a business or Yelp's data (below).

Go to Settings>Store>Apple ID. Tap on her ID and sign out. Them sign in with your own ID.
If there are apps on your iPad (and I assume that there must be) that your daughter purchased with her ID - they can only be updated by using her ID.

You can't. The Apple Store app is for iOS devices and is not available for Windows Phone, nor can any other iOS app run on your Windows Phone. You'll have to use whatever web browser your phone provides if you want to shop the Apple Store. And no, there is no Apple Store app for Windows on a computer either. Perhaps you're thinking of iTunes and the iTunes Store?

It is a little different than the PC "bloatware" The Apple provided apps go back to the first iPhone and prior to Apple allowing third party apps. At that time the smartphones available (Blackberry, Treo) all included Mail, a browser, weather, and stocks apps so Apple did too. Apple also included the iTunes Store and Music apps since they operated a music store. Since then they have continued to offer these apps and have added Newsstand (really a folder), Passport ( a new feature that has to be tied to the OS due to sandboxing restrictions,a Clock, and Apple Watch. Stocks is included since the Blackberry was primarily used by businesses and Apple wanted to be able to include this market.
Once Apple opened up to 3rd party apps they could have dropped some of the included apps but they really don't take a lot of space and I would guess they are widely used. I know I use the included Stocks and Weather, they meet my simple needs and I have no reason to download another and learn it. Oddly if you read the iPad community when it was first released one of the biggest complaints (and it still pops up) is not included clock (now not applicable), weather and calculator apps. You just can't win.

I have MacBook Air 13.3 Mid 2008, suddenly the Apple Store App stopped working properly. It could lunch and display apps in apple store and even accept purchase and installation process but never succeeded. It would kept on loading until I quit it! In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall OS X: Select Reinstall OS X and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

How often does Apple Maps update address locations?? there is an address in Gainesville, Fl it is a health facility as it was priority to locate, the address is 4037 NW 86th Terr, 32606. I had to use my google maps app... it then took me to the correct address and located it no problem. please update at least this address so people in need of health care don't go through the same thing I had to endure...

The satellite imagery on Apple Maps shows that whole area as undeveloped woods. Google shows a brand new building with the nearby streets.
Use the "Report a Problem" button on the Maps to inform Apple of the required update.

I made a terrible mistake by upgrading to iOs 6, I cannot believe that theGoogle map and street view has been replaced by a crappy app from Apple. Its terrible, I cannot explain how much I hate it. I'm thinking leaving my iPhone and iPad to another system which handle Google map. Bad mistake, I'm sure that Steve Jobs would never permit to release such a crappy application.

How do I remove the grid map over an object when working in 3D?

I am working through Adobe's Photoshop CS6 Classroom in a Book, Section 12 - Working with 3D Images.
So far I have found it all fairly straight forward and very useful.
I am at a point where I am applying textures and materials to my objects, however I cannot seem to find out how to remove the grid that has mapped itself over the objects. I have included a image to illustrate.
Can anyone help?

I went into YouTube as well, and indeed: It didn't remove the white background.
Then I went into Photoshop and was surprised: It was able to remove the white background by just playing around with the Magic Wand Tool. I also went into other programmes similar to Photoshop and was excited that there were connatural ways to remove the white background. Finally, I went into Illustrator and observed that the clipping path route worked. Even in CS6.
Not sure why it didn't work for you.
