How do I remove the bleed from letter sized paper?

Hello Community,
I have been hitting a wall with this and decided to come ask the community.  When using the standard letter size dimensions of 8.5 inches by 11 inches when I go to print my work out on a regular printer it is printing out a bleed on all edges.  After tweeking the dimensions and adding more inches to height and width it is still giving me a bleed?  I simply want to have my background the same color all the way to end of the page.  Any advice on accomplishing this?
Thanks in advance!
Derek

Most office and home printers don't (and can't) print all the way to the edge of the paper. You will lose about a quarter-inch all the way around. If you printer can print edge-to-edge, then you will have to look into the printer settings to make it happen.
Otherwise, you will have to print on larger paper and cut it down. If you printer doesn't take larger paper, you will have to either cut down your 8.5 x 11 prints and live with a smaller size finished piece, or take it to a print shop to be done.
