How do I remove the browser toolbar?

I know there are many posts regarding the normal toolbar atop the browser viewing area.  This is not the toolbar of which I speak.
Rather, one of the updates in the past year has added a toolbar near the bottomof the viewing area.  It is small (about 3 inches in length), grayscale and hidden until the user hovers their mouse near its default location.  It contains minimal features (i.e., print, save, pagination, zooming, show/hide toolbars).  When I click on the last of these features, the standard toolbars appear atop the viewing area, and the bottom toolbar disappears -- not merely hides...it no longer exists.  This is my best work around to eliminate this frustrating toolbar.
When I use Adobe Reader on its own, I do not see this toolbar.  When I access .pdf files on my company's intranet, I always see this toolbar.  Our company has an intricate web of hyperlinked .pdf documents, and many of the links happen to be covered up by this otherwise hidden toolbar.  When I move the mouse to click one of the hyperlinks, the toolbar comes back into view, and I am blocked from my desired action. I can drag it out of the way, but when I reach my destination from the hyperlink, the toolbar is once again in its obstructive location.
I want to inform the appropriate persons that this toolbar is hindering the use of the documents, but I have no way of telling them what to fix.  I don't even know what to call this toolbar, so I have not had much luck finding a way to search the web for some advice.
Is there a setting that the posting user can alter that would prevent this toolbar from appearing?  Is there a browser setting I can change for myself?  Is there a means by which I can uninstall the Adobe update that caused all this?
Thank you in advace for any help.

When I play an iMovie at full screen, how can I remove the bottom toolbar?  It shows up on the projector screen and I don't want my audience to see those tools at the bottom quarter of the screen.

Do a malware check with a few malware scan programs.
You need to use all programs because each detects different malware.

I have Iphone 4, version 4.3.3 (8J2) How can i remove the brightness toolbar from the main page, below the applications above the shorcuts?

There is no brightness toolbar unless your iPhone is jailbroken.  If so, you can try to restore to remove the JB.
The only place brightness exists is under Settings.

  • How can I remove the 'apps' toolbar (the one below the bookmarks toolbar)?

'''In FF4, how can I remove the 'apps' toolbar?'''
(My computer screen is now smaller than before due to this new black strip. A 'right click' doesn't help. the "+" on the left only takes me to 'conduit'. I am not interested in this feature at all.)
    Thanks, Reg.

I had the same problem and was able to remove the empty apps bar by doing the following:
    1. Click on Tools in Mozilla; 2. Click on Add-Ons; 3. Click on Extensions; 4. Look for an add-on called Conduit app; 5. Click to the right of Conduit app to Remove Conduit App; and 6. Restart Firefox: hooray - it's gone!

  • How can I remove the Yahoo toolbar?

I just upgraded to Firefox 4 and I would like to remove the yahoo toolbar because its just a waist of space any help would be appreciated thanks.

I found this online and I hope it helps
There are two ways to remove the Yahoo! Toolbar for Mozilla Firefox.
The easiest way is to use the "Uninstall" menu item:
    Click the Pencil menu.
    Click "Uninstall".
Enter any feedback you'd like to send to Yahoo! about why you're uninstalling the toolbar.
    Click "Uninstall".
    Restart your browser.
If that doesn't work, you can also use the Extension Manager in Firefox to remove the Yahoo! Toolbar extension:
Click the "Tools" menu in the Firefox browser.
    Click the "Extensions" menu item.
In the Extensions Manager window scroll until you find the Yahoo! Toolbar extension.
    Click the Yahoo! Toolbar extension.
    Click "Uninstall".
Click "OK" in the "Uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar" window.
Exit Extensions Manager and restart your browser.
Either one of these methods will uninstall Yahoo! Toolbar from your browser. If neither works, your user profile is corrupt. You might need to create a new user profile for your browser.

  • How do I remove the Certified Toolbar Search toolar??-- MALWARE -- tried everything I know -- cannot remove UIGGHH!!!

I have tried ALL the malware removal tools I know of and still cannot remove this!

hello, please install the search reset addon - it will revert the most common customziations those adware programs do in firefox back to the default: https://addons.mozilla.org/firefox/addon/searchreset/
if your settings don't stick after a restart of the browser also go to firefox > help > troubleshooting information > profile folder - "show folder", then a new window will open up. in this window look out for a file named '''user.js''' (it might be used to overwrite your custom settings). in case it is present , delete or rename this file and restart firefox afterwards.

  • How can i remove the yahoo toolbar on the new firefox

I downloaded firefox 4.0.1 and it automatically installed a yahoo searchengine icon in my toolbar. How can I remove it?

    Then restart Firefox.

  • How do I remove the ZoneAlarm toolbar? (It's currently disabled, but there's no "Remove" option.)

I'm running FF9 beta in Windows XP -- the ZoneAlarm security toolbar (which I never wanted but was somehow installed anyway) shows up in the extension list as disabled due to incompatibility with Firefox version 9. I'd prefer to just remove the toolbar/addon entirely, but there's no "Remove" option. How do I get rid of it?
    Thanks.

ZoneAlarm version 10.1.079.000 is compatible with Firefox 9 (and is not compatible with any other Firefox version) --- very strange that they have made the last few ZoneAlarm versions each compatible with only one version of Firefox.
    *See --> http://forums.zonelabs.com/index.php
The toolbar unfortunately installs even when un-checked during the install of ZoneAlarm. There are several postings on their forum about that issue. There is also a plugin related to ZoneAlarm that installs, '''''npFFApi'''''. Search the Zone Alarm forum or ask questions about all of this on their forum.

  • How do I remove the bookmark toolbar icons for websites? After updating to Firefox 22, add-ons don't help.

In the Bookmark Toolbar, the icons for websites take up too much space and are distracting. I used to use the Bookmarks - Deiconizer add-on but after updating to Firefox 22 it doesn't work anymore.
I tried adjusting the userChrome.css as in other posts but that does not work.
    Please help!

    Hi haweyext,
Did you see this thread from yesterday:
[https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/964732 How do I keep the icons out of my Bookmarks Toolbar (tried Bookmarks Deiconizer) even after downloading files?]
If userChrome.css isn't working (note: you need to exit and restart Firefox before it takes effect), you can apply that rule to Firefox using the Stylish extension instead.
    Does any of that help?

I am currently following numerous directions supplied via an internet search and I'm am trying another anti malware program. How do I remove the WiseConvert B Community toolbar from Firefox? It has suddenly appeared and even though I open FireFox > View>Toolbars> deselect Wise Convert etc. it reappears when I reopen FireFox. Can't find anything in any of my files about it.

If you select Add-ons from the Tool menu, do you see this "WiseConvert" thing as a plugin or extension? If so, you can just disable it from there...

  • How do i remove the property bee toolbar from Firefox 7?

We're trying to move home, and were interested in tracking property prices. I attempted to install a toolbar from PropertyBee. It did eventually install, but doesn't work, and every time I start Firefox 7, a pop up window appears saying 'Do I want to finish the installation?' If I say no, it crashes Firefox; I did say yes once (and it installed the non working toolbar!; if I say remind me later, it does go away! BUT I'd like to get rid of it, and can't find a way.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode. Go to the Addon's and Remove the PropertyBee toolbar completely. Restart Firefox. If this doesn't work, uninstall Firefox and re-install it from a new download.
3rd party Toolbars are generally bad in my experience. Most of them try to load more toolbars and other unwanted software, so they are just not worth it. You might have to have a few tabs open and reload a few pages instead.
