How do I remove the dead "white space" when printing?

I'd like to print something from Safari and would like the image to be completely borderless...but Safari seems to insist on adding padding/margin around the image.

I've tried scaling the image up but regardless it leaves a white padding all the way around the image.
I've also tried creating a custom paper size and setting the margins to 0.00 but that didn't work.

Short answer - I do not know of any Safari setting. I suppose you could save the page as a PDF file and play with it there.

The third is unlabeled but has "Copies & Pages" selected by default.

How do I remove top and bottom margins when printing using Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. (I selected 'Fit to scale' and there's a huge gap on the top and bottom).

Those margins are usually reported from the printer settings to Acrobat. Meansif you have, for example, an inkjet printer and that printer can not print seamlessly, then there will be a minimum margin.
Check your printer's page settings.

Actually in my case it doesn't work. I used to be able to pull up the font window with it but the button merely flickers when I click it. The image selection button and font color both are functional. WEIRD. I don't think this is a Mavericks issue as I recall having it come up with one of my user profiles before installing. Now I can't make it happen with either of my user profiles.
I don't seem to have printing issues in other applications. And I recently reset the fonts in a futile attempt to correct this.
I may post a new topic in Mail Contacts and Calendar if there is no response here after a bit.

Hello, I just upgraded to a 120GB iPod Classic from a 5.5 Gen 80GB iPod. Sync went smooth and I love my new iPod but the only thing I don't like is how the artist name shows up in every song I choose when I'm in the artist's songs.
For example, when I go to Artists > Sonic Youth > All Songs it shows all the songs I have from Sonic Youth on there. The I don't like is how it says "Superstar" for the song title then below it, it shows the artist's name again. I just don't like how it looks because I have thousands of songs and the artist's line in each song makes browsing take slightly longer. So is there any way to remove the artist line from every song in their listings?
Any help is greatly appreciated!

Weak, although I did notice when I click on an actual album, it only shows the songs and not the artist. I guess I'll have to get used to clicking on specific albums opposed to click on all songs and have fun from there.

If the annotation isn't activated, you are printing the JPEG poster image instead - which doesn't have transparency. By default, poster images created from the media will have the play icon burned in, just choose your own image.

Sounds like you've got VoiceOver enabled.
Go into System Preferences > Accessibility > VoiceOver
Uncheck the enable box and that should take care of it for you.

I find a printed weekly calendar very useful in my life. I used to use the Sunbird calendar program with the FG Print extension to increase the font size to something more appropriate for my aged eyes. Is there a way to do this with Lightning? Are you using the print formatted page for printing? You can pop that up from the '''...''' menu that appears above the item. (Screen shot example attached.)
If that page still is too small:
* Is Firefox using the full area of the page? If Firefox is only using part of it, this could be related to a problem reading the correct "paper size" from your printer driver. More tips on that if needed.
* If Firefox is using the full page it might be shrinking the content to make space horizontally. In a window where you can access the menu bar, check File>Page Setup or orange Firefox button>Print>Page Setup to make sure the scaling is not set too small or, if necessary, turn off Shrink to Fit.

How do I remove the white space from the bottom and side of my document? (I'm not talking about printing, just viewing it on the screen.) There are about 6 inches of white space at the bottom and at the right hand side. I don't like this. On a blank new spreadsheet it's triple that amount of white space.

The infinite canvas convention doesn't make a lot of sense for Numbers. When I'm viewing a spreadsheet and mistakenly scroll into white, empty space I think, "this is ridiculous - all of my content is fits on one screen. there's nothing over there."
A (relatively) infinite canvas is logical for Microsft Excel because it's one big table. There are 256(?) columns by default and hundreds of rows on a sheet - there are cells outside what a user is looking at to see. However, when viewing a Numbers spreadsheet with a single 10 column 10 row table that fits on the screen, there's nothing else on it to scroll to.
Numbers should distinguish between viewing a spreadsheet and editing one. When I'm just viewing, when there's no content outside the window it shouldn't scroll there. This window behavior is beyond annoying for Numbers on my iPad and iPhone.
(Adding user-defined canvas size setting to my view mode / edit mode thinking would probably be the most complete solution to this now that I think about it.)
Until now the way scrolling worked in Numbers has defied logic. Actually it still does lol. That said, thank you Yellowbox for providing a clear explanation. Much appreciated.
