How do I access the subject line when I send an email?

This never used to be a problem until recent "upgrades" but I can't put a subject for an email in the subject line even though I am constantly prompted to do so when I send an email. There doesn't seem to be any way to adjust preferences anymore either.

There is a way to remove the Subject line!!
follow these steps:
go to Settings > Messages > uncheck "Show Subject Field "

Generally you can't. By the time they make it into a PDF, the link, the text and the line are three unconnected things.

Spry slideshow - how can i remove the title code when i use the widget??

When I insert the slideshow widget, there is code for a title. I don't need this and don't want to have to remove the code each time I use the widget.

Gramps thanks for getting back to me. I went to the Widget Browser, opened the slideshow with film strip and clicked on configure.
I Disabled the sliding titles and made the main title blank. Then I saved the preset.
Unfortunately it didn't work. I tried three times. The sliding titles still appear.
Please try it and see if you can get it to work- thank you!

How do I remove the black line of the original artboard after increasing the size?

I increased my document from 8.5"x11" to 22"x34" and a black line of the original document remains. Can anyone tell me how to get rid of it? It is not selectable - the word "x page" appears when my cursor hovers on it. I'm working in C6. Thanks for your help!

How do I remove the white space when importing a site from Flash?

Okay, so I've dragged and dropped my created Flash site into Dreamweaver. One problem though, when I view it in a web browser (any web browser), it displays the site fine, however with a huge white space to the side of it. You'll see what I mean in this screenshot:
What can I do then to remove that white space and make the site fill up the whole web browser? I've tried resizing it using a number of ways, but cannot seem to get it right.

You can do two things:
1) Change the width of the container to 100%; OR
2) Post a link to your test page here (not the code nor picture) so that we can see ourselves what your code looks like.

How can we remove the child state when it will navigate to the parent state?

                I have two states. One state is Login(parent state). and second state is Browsing state(second state but independent to parent Login State)
when i navigate to first Login state the flex application navigates to Login successfully. But the values present in the second state Browsing state are still present in the memory or some where else.....
                      when re navigate to Browsing state from Login state with new values the Browsing state is not updated.. It is showing the previous values remain in the second state ....
                What is the problem with this .. Can any one tell me the solution???

Try this:
if ur in state1.. while going to state2, remove state1 by using removeChild(state1) and then go.. in state2 if u want to go to state1..addChild(state1) then go

How can I remove the admin credentials when starting an application?

Hello everyone!
We have changed all the City use of computers. Before, everybody was local admin and today they are standard user. The process is not finished but well advanced. I had a few problems but all went quite well. One of the remaining bugs that I had is two applications
that always ask for admin credentials when I start them.
- I have given permissions for the apps to start as admin (properties of exe--> Compatibility-->run this program as an administrator) but it is not working.
- Have given all permission in the folder where the application is installed but to no avail to.
Do you know how can I correct that?
That would be quite a setback if I would have to give back admin right to users.

Some programs have .exe files that have to be run as or invoked as an administrator on a client computer within a domain.
The regular way to do that is to grant all necessary permission of resources for that user. Since as you mentioned that your application need to access lots of resources in system. So I am the afraid that the simplest way to do that is to keep UAC (user
account control) open，create a administrator entry and let the standard user run this application as administrator.
If it is not possible to provide. Try ACT (Application Compatibility Toolkit) and other methods as mentioned in following link and check if it works for
your application.

How do I remove the black background when displaying photos in iphoto 8

After upgrading to iphoto 8 my photos now sit on a black background when viewed from album, library or events. I have changed the slider from black to white in Preferences/Appearance but it only changes the display background for when the thumbnails are shown. The moment I click on a photo it displays at full size with an annoying black background. In previous versions it displays with a grey or white background.
Can anyone help with some advice before I reinstall iphot0 6. Thanks

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. For the background in albums and in the Photos window use the Background slider in iPhoto's Appearance preference pane. In the Events window where you see the square events you can't change the background color.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.
I've written an Automator workflow application (requires Tiger), iPhoto dB File Backup, that will copy the selected Library6.iPhoto file from your iPhoto Library folder to the Pictures folder, replacing any previous version of it. It's compatible with iPhoto 08 libraries. iPhoto does not have to be closed to run the application, just idle. You can download it at Toad's Cellar. Be sure to read the Read Me pdf file.

I have changed a , lets say 10cm² component to 2cm² component by hand. Now I am stuck with some 8cm² extra space where I can not place any other component in.

So I've found a bit in the script that I think might be it (below). Can I remove that whole bit? Or would changing the 4 to a 0 do the trick (I tried and it didn't do anything)... Sorry, but I'm not a coder so don't really know if I'm barking up the wrong tree or not.
