How do I remove video effect from maps?

I changed the video effect on my maps using the inspector, I did not like what I selected. I went back into the inspector to change to another video effect. Thew inspector shows I changed it, however when I play back the clip, the old video effect is still there

In the Inspector, select "No Effect".
You can also drag a new Map and drop it on the clip.

Apple's official advice is here... HT2905 - How to find and remove duplicate items in your iTunes library. It is a manual process and the article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls.
Use Shift > View > Show Exact Duplicate Items to display duplicates as this is normally a more useful selection. You need to manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sorting the list by Date Added may make it easier to select the appropriate tracks, however this works best when performed immediately after the dupes have been created. If you have multiple entries in iTunes connected to the same file on the hard drive then don't send to the recycle bin.
Use my DeDuper script if you're not sure, don't want to do it by hand, or want to preserve ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this thread for background and please take note of the warning to backup your library before deduping.

How do you remove an effect from an image in iMovie?

I have had my Mac a couple of weeks and I am now making my first animation with it. In order for the animation to run smoothly I need to make sure there are no effects on the images that move the image around the screen; however iMovie has automatically added the same effect to every single image I have added which means the animation does not run smoothly and instead it looks like it was filmed during an earthquake which is not the desired effect. How can I get rid of this effect so there are no effects on the images? I am using the latest update of iMovie if this helps when answering. Thanks in advance.

What app are they in ? If the Videos app then you should be able to delete them via the Edit button at the top right of the Films or TV Programmes selection screens in the app, or via Settings > General > Usage > Videos (that also has an Edit button top right, and you can swipe/drag across from right-to-left on an individual film or episode and you should get a Delete button on it). Films and/or TV programmes in the Videos app that have the cloud symbol on them are not stored on your iPad, they are only in the cloud (Settings > iTunes & App Store > Videos 'off' to stop them showing).

You need to shoot scenes like that using a camera that allows Synchro-Scan, which can adjust the cameras scanning rate to that of the display in the shot. Any mismatch between camera and siaplay is what causes the flicker, and Synchro-Scan is the only way to correct it without entirely removing the screen from teh shot and replacing it with another, usually via After Effects.

If you mean that she is sharing your iCloud account and you want to migrate her phone to a separate account, start by saving any photo stream photos she wants to keep on her phone to her camera roll (unless already there) by opening her my photo stream album, tapping Select, tap the photos, tap the share icon -- box with upward pointing arrow, then tap Save to Camera Roll. If she is syncing notes with iCloud, you will need to open each one and email them to her so she can later copy and paste the text into new notes created in her new account. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account (which only deletes it from her phone, not from iCloud; your device will not be effected by this), choose Keep on My iDevice and provide the password to turn off Find My iPhone. Then sign back in with a different Apple ID to create her new account and choose Merge to upload her data.
Once your devices are on different accounts you can each go to icloud.com from your computer and delete the other person's data from your account.

1. How do get the video files from iPhoto into iMovie as it seems that iPhoto imported it all.
2. How do I get the images that were taken with Location services turned "ON" to display the location they were taken?
3. Will location mapping also work with iPhone video files?

Maybe someone in the iMovie discussion forum would know some of the specifics from iPhoto to iMovie. I thought I remember seeing a way to import straight from my iMove.

Photos synced from a computer can only be deleted via a computer. If you no longer have access to the computer that you originally used then you can sync new photos (or just an empty folder if you want to remove them all) from your new computer which will remove all previously synced photos.
If you want some of them to remain on the iPad you will need to copy them onto your new computer from your backup so that you can re-sync them; if you don't have a backup then there are third-party iPad apps such as Simple Transfer (which has a free lite version called Simple Photo & Video Transfer) which can be used to copy photos off your iPad to a computer via your wifi network. But as photos are 'optimised' when they are synced to the iPad, any that you then copy back to a computer may not be exactly the same as they originally were on your computer.
