How do I Replace album art in ITunes 12

How do I replace album art in ITunes 12. Before the upgrade I was able to delete and paste a new one in get info. No can do now!

The new iTunes 12 Get Info dialog lacks right-click context menus (at least for now) but it still accepts most standard keyboard shortcuts and drag & drop actions.
Delete Artwork
On the artwork tab of Get Into, tap the image in question, use Backspace or Ctrl+X. Delete doesn't work.
Or, tap the image at the top left of Get Info, this time use Backspace or Delete, it is Ctrl+X that doesn't work.
Add Artwork
Select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the centre of the Artwork tab, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, select artwork, press Ctrl+C to copy, tap the small image area at the top left, press Ctrl+V to paste.
Or, you can drag & drop to, or sometimes from, the same locations.
You can also copy artwork from the Get Info dialog to Windows Explorer with the keyboard shortcuts.
If the source image is on a web page right-click and use Copy Image rather than copy. (With Chrome I get a one pixel wraparound so tend to go for a temporary local copy anyway - not sure whose bug this is, but it isn't new.)
If you have multiple images embedded drag the one you want to be the primary artwork to the leftmost position.
Replace/Remove All Artwork
The top left image box can be used to add or delete art from multiple tracks. In either case all existing artwork in all tracks is replaced/removed.
Old Style Get Info Dialog
Select some items, right-click, hold down shift, then click Get Info from the context menu. (Use alt/option on a Mac)

• How do you add album art in iTunes 12? everything I've tried doesn't work

how do you add album art in iTunes 12?

Two methods:
Right-click on the album, select Get Album Artwork.  iTunes will determine whether this album is available from the iTunes Store and, if so, download the artwork image from the Store and associate it with the media files.
Right-click on the album, select Get Info and then the Artwork tab,  Then:
click the Add Artwork button, navigate to and select an image file on your computer, or
drag and drop an image file from your computer to the Artwork tab, or
copy an image to the clipboard (for example, from a web page) go to the Artwork tab and press Ctrl-V (there's a bug in iTunes 12.0.1.26 such that right-click > paste does not work here
For the second method, you can also access the "old style" editor window from iTunes 11 by holding down Shift as you right-click > Get Info.
Lastly, there are three cases in which you can follow these procedures but artwork is not correctly associated with or embedded in your media files:
your media are in a format that doesn't accommodate embedded artwork - typically WAV files.  To embed artwork you'll need to convert to another format - Apple Lossless or AIFF if you want to preserve lossless quality, AAC or MP3 otherwise.
your media files are read only - to fix this, use Windows Explorer to find the folder that contains your files, right-click and select Properties.  On the General tab there's a check box labeled "Read-only" - if this is checked, or is grey (sometimes blue), click the box so that the flag is unchecked and the box is white.  Click OK, and then OK again when the "Apply changes to this folder, subfolders and files" option selected.  Now try adding the artwork again.
Windows permissions issues are preventing iTunes from updating your media files (there's some anecdotal evidence of a change in this behavior in iTunes 12).  See turingtest2's notes on Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for advice on fixing this, then try adding the artwork again.

• How do I place album art in iTunes?

I have a series of sermons by Francis Chan but have no artwork.  I have a picture I want to attach to the sermons.  How do I upload the pic?

FYI, you don't "upload" album artwork to iTunes.
To apply custom album artwork highlight all the tracks you want to the artwork on and do a Get Info. Click the Artwork tab then the "add" button. Navigate to the artwork, select it and click OK, then OK again.

• How do i sync album art from itunes to ipod

i just got a bunch of album art i want to add to my touch, i dont have to re-add music do i?

Make a playlist or lists for all of your audiobooks, then in your iPod preferences, change to sync the iPod to only those specific audiobook playlists.

• How can I get album art to be shown in the left corner when it's already shown in the main area of iTunes?

My entire music collection was recently deleted on accident. It was my fault (and partially my external harddrive's ridiculously touchy USB cord's fault), but anyways I was able to use an undelete software to get the files back. Some are gone, some are somehow warped into each other, e.g., a folk song, audio-wise, is now replaced with half of a death metal song. I'm trying to fix all that up right now, but my problem is that I can only see album art in the main part of iTunes, right next to the song titles displayed. iTunes refuses to display the art in the bottom left-hand corner, where I think it usually shows what the cursor is locked on at a given time. I'm sorry for not elaborating a sentence or two back, I've also lost about half of my album art in iTunes, so that's why I'm adding it back.
The weird thing is, album art that was retained after the deletion fiasco does show up in both areas. It's just album art that I add right now that doesn't work. And it can't just be because the files are corrupted or something, because they are editable and play fine, and the same thing happened with a file I just redownloaded and then imported. That file should be perfectly OK.
Can anyone tell me if there's a reason for album art to not display in the bottom left-hand corner of iTunes while I have certain files selected?
Thanks
p.s. one more thing, it's not like the Currently Selected box in that corner is hidden, it's in plain view which is why the blank space is so bothersome.

I am having a similar problem - my iPod Touch (2nd gen., 32GB, iOS 4.1) was recognized by iTunes on my 24" iMac (Intel, Late 2006) after I had updated it about 1-2 weeks ago (Software Update) to 10.2.2 (the iMac has OS X 10.5.8 on it). I had to take my iMac to a local WiFi spot to do the updating, because I don't have Internet at home currently (can't find anyone who provides just affordable DSL if you don't have your landline via AT&T).
Today I went to sync my iPod Touch with the iMac (I had updated some apps and bought one new one using the iPT through local WiFi spot). However, iTunes did not see ANY devices at all(!). I tried connecting the iPod Touch first, restarting iTunes and then re-connecting the iPT - nothing helps. The iPod screen turns on just like when charging, but no sign of syncing.
I'm wondering how applicable the article that you listed would be, or is there a comparable article for iPod Touches with 10.5.8? (I'm getting very fed up with what seems to be the standard Apple partyline of "Just buy a new iPod/Mac/get new software....blah, blah, blah" -Apple, what about those of us who consider it wasteful and unnecessary to buy new hardware or software every few years, just to get a helpful and NON-condescending reply from your support people? • How to get bigger album art?? And how to change iTunes 10 font??

Hiya!!
I just wanna know is there any chance to get a bigger album art in this window:

I know that there was a way to get bigger album art in iTunes 9, but after recent iTunes update there's no way to get a bigger album art in this window!!
And the second question is that how do i change the font in iTunes 10?? In iTunes 9 it was iTunes.ttf and iTunes Bold.ttf, but non of those fonts are not working in iTunes 10.

The easiest way I have found to get acceptable album art is to go to Amazon music and copy and paste their album art into your Itunes info. Most, but not all, come up with very good quality and right size (large) As far as the font I have no idea.
I got the impression that the original poster was meaning that that wanted iTunes to display the album artwork at a larger size in the list view, not that the artwork itself needed to be bigger. The iTunes Store already provided 600x600 pixels artwork (Amazon only provides 500x500 pixels) so I don't think that is the problem.
I am not aware of a way of altering the list view to show the artwork bigger, but one can show the artwork in its own window at full size by turning on the 'show artwork for selected item' in the bottom left of the iTunes window, and then double-clicking on it to open it in its own window. It is also the case the other different views, like coverflow show the artwork at a bigger size than the list view.

• How do I add album art not using iTunes

How do I add album art without first importing the songs into iTunes? Is there a program that will do this?

Well, my preferred method is to use a web search engine, restrict it to display artwork, then choose the best.  Slow but sure.
Browse the wwww.pure-mac.com web site for free utilities out there.  I am sure there are many commercial packages to "clean up" iTunes but frankly I think they are hype.
See if there is something on the Dougscripts web site.
I know I have utilities such as XLD that do it as part of the CD ripping process.

• How can I remove Album Art from the top of the screen (where it shows the song now playing) in iTunes 11?

Would like to remove the album art on itunes 11 at the top of the screen

Not a great solution, but you can completely remove the album art if you reduce the width of your itunes window.... as you reduce the window you get to a point where the artwork disappears.

• How can I show album art in the mini player when playing songs from a plugged in iPhone?

How can I show album art in the mini player when playing songs from a plugged in iPhone?
When I play from my phone and switch to the mini player it's always showing the music notes in the thumbnaill. It'd be nice if it could get album art off of the phone.
I'm on iTunes version 11.0.4.4

He @mracole,
it is very nice that you post a solution to complete the library with artwork for album's that do not have an artwork. Your solution perfectly addresses the problem for assigning artwork, BUT this thread is about CHANGING artwork for albums already uploaded into iTunes Match. Just try to replace for example a blue artwork cover for an album with a red one. If you made it in a simple way (without deleting the album from iTunes Match and local changes on the files with an external ID3-Application or 2 or more iTunes libraries on different Mac's) this is the right place to give a solution. I really tried for hours to change the artwork to make them visible in landscape cover flow mode on my iPhone5. In rare cases I made it, but then the covers sometimes where restored to the old onces - exacly how it is mentioned by Starhawk
As long as there is no simple way to change the cover of an iTunes Match stored album (you can change title, artist and so on without hitting "update iTunes Match" over all distributed Library on different devices - this date will be synchronized almost instantly) I considered the behaviour from iTunes as BUGGY! For me the local artwork cache (and if there is any iCloud artwork cache - I don't know) do not interfere with iCloud. Even when I delete the whole local cache (album artwork music - everything) I do not manage to change the artwork.

How do I add album art to my iPod touch?

Right click on the song in your iTunes library and select Get Info. The go to the Artwork tab.  There is an Add button.
Also you can go to iTunes>Advanced and lick on Get Artwork. It goes to Apple to try to get the artwork automatically.

• The control click and external mouse right click no longer works when copying and pasting album art within itunes. Ex. Hit get info for one song to paste to the rest, copying the artwork wont work when it used to.

• Extract Album art from iTunes?

is it possible to extract and backup the album art in iTunes?
I have a lot that I have had to put in manually and I would like to be able to save it..
Also it looks like some tracks in some albums, for some reason, never had art loaded to the, although the rest of the album is fine. I need to extract the art from one track on theses albums and put it back in the track with missing artwork

Ok, thanks
Finally managed to work out where and how to copy the artwork. Since there was no right click option when selecting artwork in an albums Get Info page, I did not think about using CMD C or CMD V. It wont copy from Album Get Info, but will from the individual tracks
I see you can also copy/paste using the Edit drop down in the menu bar, but for me that is a pain as I have three screens and I had been working with the iTunes Windows in the third screen....the first screen being the primary screen with the menu bar. Bloody stupid having only one menu bar when you have multiple screens.
Thanks for your help
