How do I replace Lost/Discarded original system OS X disc set?

Thought I'd left in shipping box, Then turned house upside down. Fear they went out with trash. I think I want to cry. My search terms are bringing up tons of pages but not the link I need. Need to replace from Apple. Links? Where? How? Cost?

Call Apple Support and order a new set.
Support numbers are available by clicking the Contact Us link at the bottom of this page.

System Preferences quits suddenly. I have lost the dock, including the trash and ability to change desktop image. How can I replace this part of System Preferences? Where can I find Trash? All other aspects of System Preferences work.

just that that is one method, and lacks provision for working boot image and for an emergency - Lion gives a small minimal emergency boot environment but may lack all the utilities you need to use and run, even some drivers that your mac requires for add on PCIe.
Just grab and look through Help in Carbon Copy and SuperDuper, both excellent and each has their use - together - for cloning.
And do you have two TM backup sets? ought to consider that also, rotate daily or make a weekly set. Otherwise you are putting all your eggs in the proverbial one basket.

  • How do I replace lost applications and games 6300

Hope you can help guys ...
I have put a bigger memory card in my 6300.
However some of the Themes / Applications and Games were stored on the old card. I have tried to copy/paste them to the new card but they seem to be write protected or something and cant be copied.
I guess this would have happened if I had formatted the card too - this seems a bit daft to me, why put things like that on a removeable card ?
Its a bit like formatting your MP3 player only to find you've lost the sofware that ran the device!
So how can I put the original stuff onto the new card

Well I have kinda found a way around my problem.
Although you don't seem to be able to copy the applications from the memory card, you can however move them.
So if you select for example the 'Converter II' apllication, and go to options, you can move it from the card to a folder in the phone.
You can then swap the cards over and then move it back to the new memory card.
Works the same way to save the games.
But the problem still exists in that you can't save a copy of these applications. If the card is formatted they are lost.
So do you have to search and pay to download them if that happens ?
The only alternative would seem to leave them on the phone and not on the card, but won't the phone memory get used up fairly quickly?

  • How to change to original system of an object

We have moved some sources from one system to another and now the
original system in the customers objects is obviously the old system.
How can I change the original system in these objects? Can anyone tell me
in which tables is this info kept and if there are any standard reports to do this?
    Thanks
    Martin

Thanks for your answer. No, we did not make a copy, but we have included
all objects in transports, which we imported into the new system.
SE06 sets general system setting. We need to change the information for single objects. Only those customer objects which carry the old system as original system need to be set to the new system. Not the SAP-Objects, obviously. I am talking about Z-Reports, subtypes of business objects, Z-Tables etc.
    Bye bye

good evening..i accidentally dropped my iphone 5 and it has scratches on the metal case..how can i replace anew and original metal case?

You cannot.  Apple also does not repair iPhones.
Did you purchase Apple Care Plus?  If yes, they will replace the phone for a $49 fee.
If nothing else is wrong, I'd just put it in a case and not worry about it.

My iPhone is from Japan and I want to activate it here in the Philippines because I'm living here. I have lost the original SIM from Softbank and replaced it with a new SIM card from Globe. How can I use the SIM card from Globe?

You cannot. The iPhone is locked to Softbank, and only they can unlock it. Problem is that Softbank will NOT unlock the phone, as they do not offer iPhone unlocking.
Buy an iPhone in the Phillipines.
PS Before you go on a rant at Apple, be aware that Apple does NOT unlock phones and they do not set unlocking policies. The carriers (Softbank in this case) set the unlocking policy.

  • I lost my original disk for photoshop 7... I need to update.. it won't let me.. and keeps asking for the disk.. even though the program is on my pc... How can i get my update?

I have photoshop 7 on my pc but have lost my original disk.... I went to update it and  the update is not seeing the file on my pc... and it keeps asking for my disk.. but i can't find it...
    How can i update it...

Ah, you had Photoshop 7.0 working, and now it's not.  I see that as a separate issue to updating it.  I'm not sure why it would ask you to update it.
Do you know whether you have 7.0 or 7.0.1 at this point?  You might be able to do a Properties function on Photoshp.exe and see that info.
You could make an attempt to reset Photoshop's preferences to defaults.  Press and hold Control - Shift - Alt simultaneously immediately upon cold-starting Photoshop. If you get the keys down quickly enough - and you have to be really quick - it will prompt you to confirm deletion of your current preferences, which will lead to the establishment of a fresh default set.  If it does not prompt you, you haven't been quick enough to get the keys down.
Only other thing that comes to mind is to use Windows System Restore to restore back to a restore point where Photoshop was working, or restore from a backup (you do make backups I hope).
If that fails, and you need to do a fresh install but no longer have the original disk and serial number I'm afraid you may be out of luck.  There's no place I know of from which to download a fresh full copy of Photoshop 7.0.

  • I lost the original dock to my 2nd generation ipod shuffle, I have a new charger but it doesn't work. How can I charge it?

I lost the original dock to my 2nd generation ipod shuffle, I have a new charger but it doesn't work. How can I charge it?

If by "charger," you mean the USB docking cable, you need the original cable (or a compatible third-party replacement cable).  A cable that is for the current 4th gen (and 3rd gen) shuffle does not work with a 2nd gen shuffle, because the connector is different.
This is the Apple replacement part (for a 2nd gen shuffle)
    http://store.apple.com/us/product/MA694G/A/apple-ipod-shuffle-dock
There are third-party products that work, but make sure it is described as being for the 2nd gen shuffle.  And I would avoid the ones that just seem too cheap, because there are likely to be quality issues.

  • I am selling my Mac Mini. I recently purchased OS X Lion. When I restore to factory settings, how can I ensure that the operating system will still be Lion, and not the original operating system, which I believe was Snow Leopard?

If you bought Lion from the App Store, you can't legally or practically transfer it, because it's tied to your Apple ID. Reinstall the original software from the discs that came with the machine.

  • I have been sampling new imported drum loops. And if I adjust region to song or time strecth it updates the audio file in the library. How to stop this? I lost the original setting to one loop. automatically doing it ??

This "original file cannot be found" thing happens if the file is no longer where iTunes expects to find it. Possible causes are that you or some third party tool has moved, renamed or deleted the file, or that the drive it lives on has had a change of drive letter. It is also possible that iTunes has changed from expecting the files to be in the pre-iTunes 9 layout to post-iTunes 9 layout,or vice-versa, and so is looking in slightly the wrong place.
Select a track with an exclamation mark, use Ctrl-I to get info, then cancel when asked to try to locate the track. Look on the summary tab for the location that iTunes thinks the file should be. Now take a look around your hard drive(s). Hopefully you can locate the track in question. If a section of your library has simply been moved, or a drive letter has changed, it should be possible to reverse the actions.
Alternatively, as long as you can find a location holding the missing files, then you should be able to use my FindTracks script to reconnect them to iTunes .

how does one replace a lost Time Capsule power cord? thanks

It is a standard figure8 power cable.. any electronic retailer will stock them.
You will find it hard to get white.. they are all black.. you can ask at apple store or repairer.. I don't think it is sold as an accessory.. but a repair shop might have a few.

  • How can I make apple sell me my original system restore 10.4.7 discs for my

My apple expert made me take out all but the drive I intended to erase and install, put that drive in position 1, and insisted I could install tiger from my retail tiger disc, which is 2005 PPC. I told him this, but he said it did not matter, and that I was wrong to say that it was just PPC. Of course the tiger dvd is not recognized as a bootable disc on my mac pro 1.1, nor is any startup disc on any volume created with the ppc installer. The purpose of my initial call was to purchase the 10.4.7 original system restore discs. I purchased the machine a few days ago so that I could use tiger volumes when I needed to, but still move forward with snow leopard on other drives. It came without system disks. Can I buy the disks from an outside vendor? Who? I need to use multiple OS setups.

I heartily thank everyone who posted and gave me good advice. I could tell that I got cooperation from apple only after posting this, so I did not want to respond until I actually got the discs.
Now I'm looking for an airport extreme card and I find that searching on the apple store turns up no results, only base stations. I have 3 airport cards, but sure they are all too old since they were for motorola G5's and 4's. And I'm wondering how to access svideo now... I'm nursing my aged cracked titanium powerbook because it has a pcmcia slot and svideo out, two things I use for importing cf cards and microdrives and presenting with my laser projector. The svideo cable allows the machine to be a long distance from the projector, or the projector from the amplifier. A display adapter is no help, and I have several, unless I can find a converter to svideo. I want to use a macbook 13" white plastic because of weight. Even though it can't run my video software, I can at least show things on screen and carry work back and forth, but I don't understand the refusal to address Svideo and and the card slot. SD cards only do so much, and usb readers are notorious now, everyone has to use them, and they are not reliable. Buying a heavy large mac book pro 17" does not do me any more good than lugging around my tower machine. iPad will be wonderful when it gets a keyboard and full computer functions- and runs regular software. But that is a few decades from now.
So many of my colleagues have had to buy pc laptops. They saved a lot of money.
