How do I repopulate my maps with red pins from my bookmarks?

How can I repopulate my map with red pins from bookmarks? From Bookmarks I can drop one pin at a time which is useless. I need all of my pins back on the map.

The label that is with the pin. Touch the blue arrow to the side of it and then touch where it says Remove Pin.
EDIT: I just re-read what you said. If it is a red pin, it is from a searched address. In that one, you have to cancel the search and the pin will go away.

Trying to remove red pin from Maps, there is no button to remove it, folks . . .

Have had my iphone 4 for eight months. Updated to iOS 5 recently. Didn't have this problem before but I am UNABLE to remove the red pin from Maps.
Turned my phone off completely, and it seemed to remove the red pin on turning it back on. But this is not a convenient maneuver. I was able to drop a purple pin and remove it. But once a red pin is down, THERE IS NOTHING THERE TO REMOVE IT. I'm certain that there is a bug here that needs to be fixed.
Option 1 under "Directions", tap on the red pin, tap on the blue arrowhead, tap "remove pin" - - - but there is no such button to "remove pin".
Option 2, under "Directions", tap on "edit", I thought there used to be a blue "clear" button to remove everything, but there is none.
Instead under "Directions", tap "edit", tap the grey circle with a "x" inside to remove the address, but it does not make it go away, and the red pin always comes back. The blue cancel button on upper left hand corner also does not remove the red pin.
Please help. I already read multiple postings on this. I have not found the correct answer for my question. Thx.

There's no way to remove it. Either ignore it or update.

How to add a bing map with pins to a Siena Project

Hi
I just want to add a bing map with the current location and a few nice pins of some nice locations around me. Comming out of a Excel file. Potentially also draw some routing lines into the bing maps.
Any ideas how I can accomplish that goal?

yes you can (there is actaully one on the map, blue square)

You will however have to build the correct string to included in the image source (which you can do in the source excel or in runtime in siena)
Concatenate is suitable to do that.

the PP indicates the pin actually and the bing map autocenters on that. You have several options listed on the webpage listed above. It's a question of the one fitting you best.
Please note that your bing key is yours so you need to hide it well enough.

How to lock a specific map with a password in FINDER?

I don't use a password on my mac because you have to fill it out the whole time for ridiculous reasons. But I have one map, with all my financial numbers and invoices, that I want to secure with a password.
How to do that?
I already tried some things but can't figure it out.

not sure what you mean by a map here. if you use a blank admin password (a mistake IMO), pretty much your only option is to create an encrypted disk image using disk utility and put whatever you want protected inside. when the image is unmounted, the only way to mount it is by entering the password you set at the image creation time.

Thread externally in a class or in a method. I presume you mean a member variable of the thread class and not a local variable inside the run() method.

I find it easier to implement the Runnable interface rather than extending a thread. This allows your class to extend another class (ie if you extend thread you can't extend something else, but if you implement Runnable you have the ability to inherit from something). Here's how I would write it:

Your main thread continues to run after the sathr thread is completed, consequently the output is done before the sathr thread has modified the string. You need to make the main thread pause, this will allow sathr time to run to the point where it will modify the string and then you can print it out. Another way would be to lock the object using a synchronized block to stop the main thread accessing the string until the sathr has finished with it.

Is there anyway to populate the Apple map with push pins ie customer lists

Is there anyway to populate the Apple or Google map on my iPhone 5 with push pins that will stay there? For example I would like to populate with all of my customers around the country to help me quickly find them when I am on the road.

The pins don't stay there, but you can bookmark pin positions, and then drop a pin on the desired customer's location by selecting the customer from the bookmarks list.

I can't seem to remove a red pin from the Google map?

I don't have the option to remove the red pins. I tried click on them and then the right arrow to bring up their info. I have the option to replace it, but not to remove it. My map is getting rather full of these. What am I missing?

lol...I see what you mean. I didn't realize my old search stays there indefinitely. I searched for a chain store that had multiple locations, so it left pins all over the map.

I just updated my iphone to OS 6.0, and by doing so the Google maps app, which was working quite fine, got replaced with an Apple map app, which is significantly inferior and doesn't feature Streetview. Hi Eric. I did add Google using CalDAV. It seemed to work and sync changes instantly. However, I still needed to keep my "synchronize with google" account on "on my Mac". This made no sense to me. Why do I need both of these to make Google contacts sync properly?
Something I did find out: My "synchronize with google" account on "on my Mac" did eventually sync with my google account (please ignore the CalDAV comment for this point). However, it took multiple hours for the syncing to occur. So, the original way I tried to do it (explained in my original post) did work, but it took multiple hours for the auto syncing to occur. This is a failure from an autosyncing perspective.
While I did come up with a work around using a second CalDAV account in additon to my original "synchronize with google" account, I am still confused on the right way to do it. Any guidance would be appreciated.
