How do I report an ITunes Store error without paying Apple for pointing out their software error.

Since a couple of ITunes upgrades, tracks purchased from ITunes Store where the artist begins "The " it has included this in the artist sort key whereas it did not before. Nor has it ever done this and still doesn't for own imported CDs. I maintain my ITunes Library in artist sequence and I now have seven tracks sorted under "T" instead of where other tracks have been sorted. Apart from the fact that this needs correcting in the Apple software, I don't seem able to correct this in any way. I have reported on 11th February via normal channel, case number 747285554, and was promised someone would contact me by E-Mail within 48 hours, but no-one did. I have since sent via the same channel 2 reminders but nothing has happened.

Frankly I doubt that it is considered important. They are unlikely to fix a metadata error in the store based on your report. Four years on and this item still hasn't been corrected. https://itunes.apple.com/gb/album/comedy-classics/id332157974 (It was reported directly as well as through that review).
If you clear both the Sort Artist and Sort Album Artist values for the affected tracks then these fields should auto-populate dropping the leading "The" and sort accordingly.
In some cases the original iTunes Store metadata seems to be given preference over personal changes. If you are seeing this then
Go to iTunes > Preferences > Store and turn off
Show iTunes in the Cloud purchases
Share details about your library with Apple
On any iOS device go to Settings > Music and turn off
Show All Music
Close and reopen iTunes and/or reset the device and you should see your version of the metadata for each track rather than the original store data. If not it should reset as you play through content, or you can use my script UpdateTagInfo to force iTunes to read the current data from the tags.

  • How can I make an iTunes/Store account without giving my credit card?

    Hi everyone,
We recently decided to start giving out iPhones at work on our company cell plan to employees.
Along with this, we're using one of the AppStore apps to do user tracking/maintenance on the phone, and I was curious if there was any way to make the Apple IDs/Appstore accounts without giving a credit card number to verify the account.
We don't want to have everyone use their own credit cards, nor do we want to use the company cards to register, in case someone gets crazy and starts buying paid apps.
Is there any way around this?

Is there a way to not use a credit card?
    The articel entitled:"

  • How do you get the itunes store to not ask you for your password?

Please help. I used to have this happen, but now it asks for my password everytime i buy an app.

I know it's a very tedious process, but unfortunately you cannot disable it. It's for your own security and iTunes credit. For example, without this, someone may use your credit card or iTunes credit to buy a song, app, book, etc. without your permission. This method prevents that.

I bought and paid for 2 audiobooks in iTunes store. However they don't download. I get error -48 and/or 1000. How do I resolve this? Thank you.

I reinstalled iTunes on my PC. Also tried downloading via iTunes on iPad and iPhone. The latter is not possible because it tells me that I already bought the products. The purchases have already been charged to my account!

  • Error report form iTunes Store: Missing Nib File

After having uploaded the .zip-file to the iTunes Store (update of an existing app), I got the following error-report from the iTunes store: Missing Nib File - The referenced nib file "MainWindow.nib" was not found in the application bundle. Is it possible that this error occurred while creating the app in the Adobe app builder or where do I have to look for this error? The first uploading of the original app worked without an error. What do you recommend me?
Thank you very much for an answer.

    Hi The99reddragon,
Thanks for visiting Apple Support Communities.
You may have been affected by this system issue that occured:

Users may have been unable to make purchases from the App Store, iTunes Store, Mac App Store, or iBookstore. Users may also have been unable to access iTunes in the Cloud, iTunes Match, or restore purchases from an iCloud backup.
From Apple Services, Stores, and iCloud.

  • How can I connect to itunes store when error message -54 prevents connection?

The error message -54 is not defined properly or sufficiently, to attempt specific troubleshooting by the the user (not user friendly). Does anyone in the community have any experience with this error message? If so, how did you solve the issue? I suspect the impending migration to iCloud may hold the answer.

    Hi KimberlyWI,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.  If you're not able to access the iTunes Store, I would suggest part of this article:

  • How do I access my itunes store? A message popped up "We could not complete your iTunes Store request. An unknown error occurred (-3212)."

I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes and it didn't work.

    Hello smmdam82412,
Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities. The following article outlines specific iTunes Store Conditions and Alert Messages:
    iTunes: Advanced iTunes Store troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3297
    "Error 3000" through "3999"
Alerts with codes in the 3000 range generally mean that iTunes cannot contact the gs.apple.com server on ports 80 or 443. This may be because out-of-date or incorrectly configured security or firewall software is interfering, or due to your Internet proxy settings. If you are using a proxy, try removing the proxy settings, or using a known-good network. If that does not resolve the issue, follow iTunes for Windows: Troubleshooting security software issues.
I realize you described your error as -3212, however there may be a chance it is related to -3221:
    "Error -3221"
This alert is often related to iTunes and iTunesHelper being blocked by software firewall.
If this happens, change the permission level for iTunes and iTunesHelper in your software firewall to allow full access.
This should allow iTunes and iTunesHelper to both send and receive data from the iTunes Store.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • How do I get the iTunes store to pull and use updated info from Gracenote?

I'm helping a music group fix their CD information, which was incorrect in the Gracenote database. Gracenote made the corrections, but the iTunes store is not reflecting the changes. I verified the changes were made by inserting the CD on a PC, and, through the iTunes client, asking it to pull the track info from Gracenote. The info is correct.
However, if you use the iTunes client to go to the store, the info in the store does not match what was pulled when sticking the CD in the drive and querying Gracenote. Also, if you go to the CD URL via a web browser to preview or purchase a digital download, the iTunes store web site is still showing the wrong information.
How do I get the iTunes store (that is, Apple's server, not the iTunes client) to pull and use updated (correct) CD information from Gracenote?

    Geek Girl,
The official Content Provider relationship with the Store depends how it was set up, and may be the group or their agent or a 3rd party such as TuneCore.  They can go back through the same official channel that put the tracks in the Store in the first place.
Or, if it is simply an error, as opposed to an official change by the Artist, you can try the Feedback page:
    http://www.apple.com/feedback/itunesapp.html

  • How do I get my iTunes Store to work on my iPad?

How do I get my iTunes Store to work on my iPad?

Assuming that you mean that you can't connect to the iTunes Store ....
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time>Set Automatically>Off. Set the date one year ahead. Try to update the apps again. If you get an error message, go back to the settings. Correct the date and time (set automatically) then go back and try to update the apps again.
    Or try this ...
Settings>Privacy>Location Services>System Services (swipe to the bottom of the page to find this)>Location Based iAds>Off.
    Or this ...
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
    Or .....
Quit the app completely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
    Or ....
Reboot your router. Unplug it from power for about 30 seconds and then plug it back in again.

  • Any one know how i can access my itunes store again on my ipad. I am recieveing a message saying ' cannot connect to iTunes store :(

I am having problems in connecting to my itunes store on ipad 2 . anyone know how i can resolve this.

    Saw this on another post.
Applecare Senior Advisor Txx Bxxx (I have his contact info in an email he just sent) just confirmed with me that the problem people are having with the App Store not loading is an apple issue with there servers, ITS NOT YOUR IPAD so don't go restoring it!   It's not happening to everyone however but they are looking into it, its really hit or miss.

Try this first - Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
This works for some users. Not sure why.
Go to Settings>General>Date and Time> Set Automatically>Off. Set the date ahead by about a year. Then see if you can connect to the store.

  • I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

I accidentally erased a music album that I purchased on iTunes. How can I get the iTunes store to recognize that it is no longer in my iTunes library and download it again?

Delete the broken links in iTunes then look at your purchased list to redownload.
If this happened because you were deleting files from the iTunes folder in Finder, don't.  You have to let iTunes do all the deleting and moving or you will end up with broken links.

  • How can I delete my itunes store account

How can I delete my itunes store account

At the moment you can't - just remove any personal info from it (e.g. credit card details) and stop using it. If you purchased any content from Apple with it (music, films, apps etc) then you will need to remember the account id and password in case you ever want authorise it so as to use it on a different computer (or the same computer if, for exampel, you upgrade the OS)
