You'll need to contact Apple directly with proof of ownership of the device for the company, and have them remove it.
Otherwise it cannot be done directly.

  • HT1349 How do i register a pre-owned ipad in my name

How do i re-register a pre-owned ipad in my name? An ipad that is registered in another person's name, but its sold to me. How do i register it in my name.
NOTE: Am getting this message in my support profile "According to our records, this serial number is registered to another Apple ID. If you have more than one Apple ID, log in to My Support Profile with that Apple ID to see your other registered products. Not sure if you have another Apple ID?"
So, what should i do ?

    Hi Mattakd1,
If the register web site is not letting you change the registration, you may want to call tech support.

  • How can I rename a previously owned mouse?

I have a secondhand Bluetooth Mighty Mouse. My iMac recognizes it, but it has the the former owner's ID. I'd like to change it to mine. Unfortunately I can't find a way to do that under the Bluetooth or Keyboard & Mouse preference panes. I can change my keyboard's name there because it had none when I set it up, but the field for the mouse is blank and unavailable. In fact, though the mouse shows up under the Bluetooth menu bar icon, in the mouse tab of Keyboard & Mouse there's no battery level showing either. Surely there must be a way to rename a previously owned mouse and see its battery level in the K&M preference pane. Can someone please tell me how?

For what it's worth - I also have a Bluetooth Mighty Mouse with which I am having a similar problem - ie I cannot edit the (blank) name field in the Bluetooth section of Keyboard and Mouse System Preference nor see any indication of battery strength, although both seem OK for the keyboard. 'Old' keyboard and mouse with 'new' MacBook Pro (pre-unibody, OS 10.5.6).
I've tried disconnecting and removing mouse from BT preferences and removing batteries before reconnecting (c 1 minute). No change.
In case it's a point in common - I had USB Overdrive installed - I think the above behaviour preceded its installation. I have disabled it but not logged out before writing this.

Since downloading the latest ios my ipad2 asks for a passcode to get in. Since I have never had one I cant give it one and I cant open it up. How do I bypass the this please.

I have seen other users talk about this and make the same claim. Unfortunately, even if you didn't set a passcode, and the iPad is insisting that you did, unless you can successfully guess what the passcode is, you still have to follow these instructions and use one of the methods in here in order to restore your iPad which will then unlock it.

  • How can i restore a previously owned mac book air?

i have a macbook air that i bought used but it was not restored. how can i restore it?

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities
First, open  > About this Mac, and see Version. If it's 10.8, you have to purchase Mountain Lion to be able to reinstall OS X, so open App Store and purchase Mountain Lion.
Then, to restore the computer to default settings, follow these steps:
    1. Press Command and R keys while your Mac is starting to start into OS X Recovery, and open Disk Utility.
    2. Choose Macintosh HD on the sidebar, go to Erase tab and erase the disk.
    3. Close Disk Utility and reinstall OS X.
    If it's 10.7, call Apple to purchase OS X Lion > http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
If it's 10.6 or 10.5, you should have the Mac OS X DVDs that came with the Mac, so you need an external optical drive or another computer with Remote Disc to reinstall OS X

  • HT4859 How can I restore a previous backup in iCloud storage for my iPad?

How can I restore a previous backup in iCloud storage for my iPad?

Restoring an iCloud backup requires you to first erase your iPad.  If you have any newer data that you want to save you'll need to do that first.  Then go to Settings>General>Reset, tap Erase All Content and Settings, go through the setup screens on the iPad and when given the option, choose Restore from iPad backup.

I have a school ipad with iCloud using a different ID (my school email address) . I am leaving and want to buy my own ipad and transfer all my data and docs to my personal iCloud account but don't know how to do this without deleting all data and photos?

    Heya Katie!!
So, the article you have there, HT4895, is pretty good. Just look at the FAQ section of it.
But basically, you will want to create a backup on your computer through iTunes...Just plug your current iPad into it and make sure your iPad and iTunes are logged in with the same Apple ID. At that point, just create a backup.
When you get your new iPad, and before you plug it in or set it up, follow the directions in this link to change your Apple ID. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5621?viewlocale=en_US
Once you have that done, plug your new iPad into your computer to sync up with iTunes. Follow the directions for Restore from Backup and it should bring all that info back to your new iPad.
And changing your Apple ID email info will allow you to have your own!!! This should solve all your issues and GL!!!

I am using a MacBook Pro previously owned by a colleague.
I can't update them as I have my own AppleID and not my colleague's.
How do I change the AppleID matched to my utilities (iPhoto, iMovie, ...)?

What system version are you running and what version of iApps do you currently have?
How do I change the AppleID matched to my utilities
What versions did you have? Did you purchase the iApps with your Apple ID as some previous time?
Go into the System/iCloud preference pane and sign out.  Then sign back in with your Apple ID.  Also sign in to the App Store with your Apple ID. If you have purchased those apps previously you'll be able to download them for free from the Purchases section.

    Hi People!
Please help...I want to know how can i get photos from ipad to the computer, that were synchronized previously to ipad but from another pc that i dont have access anymore and these pics are now only found in this ipad and no other place.

    Hi Alan,
Thanks for the help, but i've actually done that before.
It does not help, because it only shows the photos on the camera roll and do not show the photos synchronized with that pc that i dont have access anymore.
The photos/albums all appear on the ipad, i can see it without problems but i cant get them out of the ipad to save onto pc for backup.
And i reaaly need it, as it is the only place that i actually have these photos now...

  • How do i install mac os x on a previously owned macbook without their password?

how do i install mac os x on a previously owned macbook without their password?

Put your install DVD into the optical drive (CD/DVD drive) and reboot. Be sure to either use the disc that came with your Mac, or, if you installed a later Mac OS X version from disc, use the newer disc. As soon as you hear the boot chime, hold down the "c" key on your keyboard (or the Option Key until the Install Disk shows up) until the apple shows up. That will force your MacBook to boot from the install DVD in the optical drive.
When it does start up, you'll see a panel asking you to choose your language. Choose your language and press the Return key on your keyboard once. It will then present you with an Installation window. Completely ignore this window and click on Utilities in the top menu and scroll down to Reset Password. After resetting the password use Startup Disk from the same menu to choose your hard drive for startup and restart.

  • I have found an Ipad 3 I believe it was stolen. How can I contact the previous owner to buy it from him ?

I have bought in a flea market an Ipad 3 Wifi only I believe it was stolen. When I bought it the battery was discharged so I couldn't verify it for being locked (stolen). After I charged it and turned it on it's locked in Icloud.
How can I contact the previous owner to buy it from him ?
I don't have anything. The Ipad is Icloud locked. It only shows : s********@googlemail.com
I am willing to buy the Ipad from previous owner.
    Thank you

I don't know what you want to hear, but no one here can help you. apple will not help you.
What you're dealing with is the activation lock, where it's required for the person that sets up the iPad to 'release' it to be used by someone else.
There's no hack or crack. There's no assistance anyone here can give you beyond the suggestions we already have.
Use your imagination. Or use the ipad as a pretty new paperweight.
