How do I reset/clear the Message Field when I create a new message?

For some reason, when I select a new message - the message field has got a previously sent message in it - every time I have to select all text & then delete the text to type in my new message.
How do I reset or clear the Text Message field?

No - It is still doing it 2 months later - I have to delete the message every time I go to send a Text - its frustratingly annoying and I really want it solved

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then steps 1 to 5 on the page that you posted from should let you reset them : go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account, then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'

After the disaster of iTunes 11.1 that deleted nearly all my archived podcasts (recovered from backup thankfullly) I was shocked, but not altogether surprised, to see that the option to delete played episodes has been enabled/re-enabled by default.
From the lower right of the Podcasts window click Settings then, if needed, click Defaults, then turn Delete Played Episodes to Off.
Why set the destructive option as the default?
I have many episodes that I want to keep that are no longer available at their feed so the last thing I want is any automatic delete process to be enabled.

You are getting entagled in the two confusing meanings of the term pixels, namely as a unit identical to points and equalling 1/72 inch, and the basic component of raster images (and effects).

How can I reset/clear the RMIClassLoader

I have a remote method that takes an interface class as an argument. Clients have classes that implement this interface along with serializable. The client has its codebase set to a http://hostname:port/ This works fine, but problems ensue when a client calls this method, exits the application, and then modifies the class file by changing the source code and recompiling. Since the RMIClassLoader keeps track of classes loaded based on the calling process's codebase, it won't reload the class file because a class with that name has already been loaded for that codebase. I've read that the RMIClassLoader can't be cleared, so I'm hoping to find some way to recreate it each time a new client checks in (there is a check-in method that does some setup that all clients call when they start up).
The main goal of this problem is to be able to have an existing RMI server running with new clients connecting in development. The new clients will be using the command pattern to pass intelligient commands to the server via a parameter. Restarting the server every time client code changes is not very efficient.

I don't see how versioning solves this problem.
Let's say the interface contains a method:
public int foo();
and the implemented class overrides this method as follows:
public int foo(){
return 1;
If the client connects to the server, the server will look in the client's codebase to find the class, and will load it (assuming it can get to it).
Now the client disconnects and the programmer decides he really wanted to return 2 and changes his method in his concrete class as follows:
public int foo(){
return 2;
This change will not alter the serialization id.
Now if he starts his application up and connects to the server, the server will check its RMIClassLoader for that codebase and see that it has already encountered that class, deserialize it, and continue to return 1.
If instead the client programmer were to explicitly modify the serialization id of his concrete class and implement the readObject(ObjectInputStream is) and writeObject(ObjectOutputStream os) to handle serialization id discrepancies, the RMIClassLoader is still not going to grab the latest class file and will still return 1.
Am I missing something?

You can use the resetForm JavaScript method, either in the initial page's Page Open event or in a document-level JavaScript whic will execute when the document is opened.

All of a sudden I noticed that most of the folders on my computer were no longer using the folder icon, but the generic document icon. I had to manually change back the icon being used by opening Get Info for each folder and copying and pasting the generic folder icon from some folders that remained unchanged. Now whenever I create a New Folder (right click -> "New Folder"), the icon that shows up is the generic document icon (white page with top right corner turned down). And I have to manually change it so it shows up as a folder in Finder or on my desktop. I don't know why or how this switch happened. All of the folders now on my computer look ok, but I need to change the default so when I create a New Folder it uses the correct icon.
I have also Forced Relaunch of my Finder and rebooted the system. I downloaded Candybar but am not sure what will fix anything, so I haven't proceeded.

Hello,
I would like to clear the description field of all my bookmarks. To do this manually would be horrible. Is there some tool that can do it? Or is there some trick to edit the sqlite file?
Also I'd be interested how I can stop Firefox from filling the description field when adding a new bookmark.

It doesn't sound like the Exchange environment is configured in a manner to support these types of clients very well. Have your Exchange team look at the following

You might want to:
Ask your Exchange team the public URLs (ExternalURL) for Exchange OWA & ActiveSync
Open the OWA URL in your Internet Explorer from your Surface
If you get a Certificate warning, open the certificate and select Install (NOTE: You may have to install the entire certificate chain). Your desktop support team should be able to support this because it is the SAME process for standard Windows 8x
desktops.
Confirm that you can open OWA on your surface with no more certificate or security warnings. NOTE: The Exchange team will have to configured OWA properly.
Once confirmed, repeat the same steps for the activesync URL that they provided.
When done, try using the OWA OR ActiveSync URL value in your settings of your Mail client.

We want to clear/cancel the message in Message monitor which are in scheduled status in PI 7.3.
It only a JAVA Stack System , We have been trying to clear the message manually but it take more time resulting into performance issue.
Is there some other way we can clear it from Database level.
Our Database is Db2 9.7 with Fix Pack 5
Can anyone help me in clearing the message at fast speed ?

Can I completely reset /clear the bluetooth subsystem / device database?

I have a Canon MP600 printer/scanner and connected a bluetooth dongle to it (the official Canon part) for the first time today. Unfortunately the user guide omits a few important details and the net result is that both a Mac Pro (early 2008, BT module included) and Macbook Pro (~late 2006, Leopard upgraded) appear to have become very confused about what to do with it.
Initially, contrary to its documentation, the printer ships with bluetooth security turned off. So, my Mac Pro connected to it happily without requesting a passkey and I printed a test page OK. The laptop wouldn't see the printer, though; it seemed that without security features turned on, the printer would only allow one computer to connect. I dug around in the printer's settings (it has an LCD screen so you configure it on-device), found the security option, enabled it and set a passkey (a 4 digit number in this particular printer's case).
Using bluetooth preferences on the Mac Pro, I removed the printer from the device list, then re-ran the setup assistant. It saw the printer, immediately recognising its name (the first time ever, the machine showed the address first, then the name a while later). It prompted for the passkey at the "gathering information" stage. In bluetooth preferences, the printer icon was showing 'Connected' status. At the "To complete the set up..." stage of the setup assistant, I named the printer, clicked on Continue, and watched the printer status suddenly change to not connected. The setup assistant re-showed the "To complete the set up..." page; I set the same name again; this time, I was taken to a page saying "You did not configure any of the available services for your Bluetooth device". Huh?! Extended information on the device in BT preferences says says that it's configured and paired, but not connected. Searching for the error message on Google produces literally no hits, which is a rare thing indeed.
Worse still, the laptop now does exactly the same thing. I've even tried turning off security entirely on the printer, power cycling it and rebooting both machines, but now neither will properly talk to the printer ever again. They just flicker through these strange "Not connected -> connected -> not connected" cycles and refuse to proceed with the obscure "You did not configure..." message.
Given that the Mac Pro successfully printed via this printer at least once, I should be at least able to get the thing to work again with security settings turned off (inadvisable though this is). But Leopard refuses. It's caching some data about the printer somewhere and this is screwing things up.
So, the short part of my very long question is: How do I totally reset the bluetooth software and/or hardware subsystem / device database so that it has no "prior knowledge" or expectations of devices which it detects?

I have not found a way to reset/clear the 'knowledge' that the Bluetooth system seems to keep of devices once it's talked to them, or, therefore, a solution to the strange Bluetooth setup assistant behaviour. Curiously, though, the 'not connected' issue with the printer doesn't seem to stop it from being printed to.
Having rebooted a few times, I printed a web page accidentally (! - I meant to save as PDF from the print dialogue box) and the device brought itself on line, received the data and printed, then dropped offline again. So it seems to be working fine. My guess would be that the online/offline behaviour is actually a normal feature of the way this particular device works, while the strange setup assistant behaviour is its way of saying that the device is already set up and working so it has nothing else it needs to do.

Issue with clearing the LOV field

Could someone please help me with the code to reset/clear the value of an LOV field.
I have a messageChoice and an LOV on the page. My requirement is that when a value is selected from the messageChoice, the value populated in the LOV field needs to get cleared.
I have defined a PPR event for the messageChoice bean and I am handling it in the PFR of the CO.
However, the below code does not clear the LOV field.
lovBean.setValue(pageContext, null);
lovBean.setText(pageContext, null);
If I add the statement lovBean.setText(""), then the value selected from the LOV window does not get populated in the LOV field in the base page.
The LOV is based on a VO and has just a single result mapping defined.

As per OAF standards, you cannot set a bean value in process form request, i.e. methods like
lovBean.setValue(pageContext, null);
lovBean.setText(pageContext, null);
You can clear LOV using either of the ways:
1)Redirect the flow to process request from process form request,i.e redirect to same page and then set value using
lovBean.setText(pageContext, null
2) in process form request , get the VO row attached to the LOV and update the corresponding attribute value as null.
