How do i reset my icon size?

I'm just curious but now that i can resize my icons in Snow Leopard, is there anyway way to completely reset the all the icons in finder windows and on the desktop to the default size like the way the came when it was first installed?

Step 1: To make the screen a bigger font size by default, i tried this and it worked for me: Tools, Options, Content Fonts and Colors: change your lower number to a larger number font size for example 20, click on advanced button to the right of the 20, change numbers in the three places to 20, click ok, click ok.
Bonus Step 2: while you are playing with default screen font sizes, life will also become easier if you also add the plus and minus zoom buttons to your toolbar: View, Toolbars, Customize, and drag any toolbar buttons you like into the toolbar. By having the + and - buttons you can adjust for size readability of your browser view with just one mouse click or two.

i need help, now my phone screen can't see the icon setting, may i know how to reset the icon settings back on my phone screen.
    thanks

You have to do it app wise, which means that the icon won't show up in settings, but you will be able to move files from your local drive to iCloud via the Numbers app (move... > choose the iCloud option).
It requires that you set up the same iCloud account on all your devices and that you have the latest version of Numbers on all your devices as well.

  • How do I reduce the icon sizes in itunes

I reinstalled iTunes after debugging my computer now the page is out of focus and everything is huge I was wondering if anybody knew how to reduce the size or re focus the screen I've been trying for a while now for some strange reason apple want the serial number for my ipod when it's clearly a software issue

Need more info about what you are experiencing. What icons are you referring to? What does your iPod have to do with it? Where is it asking for a serial number?

  • New windows open as something ridiculously small. How can I reset default window size?

New windows open in a space the size of a postage stamp. Quite literally. I have to grab them and expand them in order to even use them.

Firefox should remember the size of the last closed window. Once you have stretched it out to the desired size, make it the last window you close. If Firefox stubbornly refuses to remember settings changes, then you might want to consult this article: [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Preferences+are+not+saved Preferences are not saved].
    Any luck?

  • Icon Resizing, How do I set a default size across all windows?

Anyone know how to set the default icon size? I can resize them in each window, but I want to resize all of them across all windows. They are all so small now and I want to make all finder windows show the bigger size.
    Thank you.

You're wrong. Every window that you open for the first time inherits whatever
you set as the defaults via view options. Previously opened windows retain
    whatever settings they had previously.
Wrong here. The newly opened window get the settings of the previously opened window IF the check box of the Command-J window is not checked.
If the last opened window have "text on the right", text size to 9, and you close it and open a window who do not have the CheckBox [open in Icons] checked, your window will inherit the previously opened window settings (even if it was closed before you open the window)...
And I do not talk about reboot because I have TROUBLES with that on my SL machine (clean, very clean install [three times!]).
About the only thing you can't choose is how large
the window is when first opened. To reset everything, run this command in the
Terminal: copy & paste, hit the return key, and at the Password: prompt,
carefully type in your admin password, and hit the return key.
How do you do the reverse ?

  • Icon size in Application folder

WHen viewing the application folder from the Dock, the icons have now been enlarged and I have to scroll through the application folder to find apps, how can I reduce the icon size within the Application folder? when viewed from the Dock?
    Thanks
    John

Actually, you don't even have go to the View menu for the slider. It should be at the lower right of your Finder window in Icon View. AFA the alias in your Dock, poof it and create a new one by dragging your
apps folder to the Dock. Don't do it from the Sidebar, do it from Computer/Macintosh HD/Applications.

Reset your iPad by holding the home and on/off buttons together for about 10 seconds till the Apple logo appears.
If that does not fix it, go to Settings > General > Accessibility and turn the items there "Off".

  • How do I turn off and on the icon size slider bar at the lower right status bar of a folder window.

I have been trying for days to help a friend with a new iMac to turn on the icon size slider bar that on my iMac appears at the bottom of ever folder when it is open when in the "view" > "icon" mode.  I cannot find anything that discusses this slider bar.  I can turn this status bar off and on on both my machine and my friends machine, but I cannot turn off or on the slider on either machine.

This did not help.  I am a Mac User since 1984 and generally I am never stymied buy the Mac OS, but this one has me.   I can open and close the lower status bar, as you described, and that works fine for me because I have the icon slider bar already there and it works fine; however when I open the lower status bar on my friends machine there is no icon size slider bar, and I can't seem to find out how to get it there, as it is on my machine or at all. The icon size can be controlled from the View menu, but as a photographer, it is really handy to have it at the bottom of the folder window.  Thanks for trying.

  • Trying to restore my Mac OS  after a hard drive failure and my password is no longer recognized, however I can log in by double clicking on the Lion Icon? How can I reset my password

I am trying to restore my Mac OS after a hard drive failure and my password is no longer recognized, however I can log in by double clicking on the Lion Icon? How can I reset my password

First, make sure caps lock is not on.
Another reason why your password might not be recognized is that the keyboard layout (input source) has been switched without your realizing it. At the login screen, you can cycle through the available layouts by pressing the key combinationcommand-space or command-option-space. See this support article.
If the user account is associated with an Apple ID, and you know the Apple ID password, then maybe the Apple ID can be used to reset your user account password.
Otherwise*, boot into Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
    Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. In the window that opens, type this:
    res
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
    resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window opens. Close the Terminal window to get it out of the way.
Select your boot volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Follow the prompts to reset the password. It's safest to choose a password that includes only the characters a-z, A-Z, and 0-9.
    Select
     ▹ Restart
    from the menu bar.
You should now be able to log in with the new password, but your Keychain will be reset (empty.) If you've forgotten the Keychain password (which is ordinarily the same as your login password), there's no way to recover it.
*Note: If you've activated FileVault, this procedure doesn't apply. Follow instead these instructions.

  • My IPAD said it became "disabled" yesterday and told me to "try again" in 36 minutes.  It's been 12 hours and now it won't turn on.  When I try, it flashes a screen showing an ICON indicating connect to ITunes.  Help!  How do I reset?

My IPad indicated yesterday that it was "disabled" and told me to "try again" in 30 minutes.   It's been over 15 hours and it won't turn on.  When I try to turn it on, it gives me an Icon message indicating that I need to connect the Ipad to a ITunes.  How do I reset or "enable" it to begin working again?  Thanks very much.

You will probably have to restore via Recovery Mode as suggested above. The passcode locked you out (I assume) and you can't bypass it in order to restore the conventional way. Read the instructions here.

Click on the text in the menu so that you see the bounding box around it. Look to the right of the Movie Menu customization workspace, Adjustments Palette, Text and edit your text font style and size.
In this screenshot, "Glass Flowers" text in the main menu is selected and its Adjustments Palette Text editing opportunities are shown. To do comparable editing in the scene menu, click on the scene menu in the bin to bring its image up to the screen.
