How do i reset my Safari

I am using a OS X Yosemite, 10.10.1.
Recently i found that a Calendar-date-form in a website does not work as it was supposed to be. It was working fine in my iPad, iPhone and other Mc Mini. I read that I was supposed to reset my Safari but unfortunately this option is not available in Yosemite. What should i do

From the Safari menu bar, select
Safari ▹ Preferences... ▹ Privacy ▹ Remove All Website Data...
and confirm. Test.

How do i reset my safari when it wont open!

If Safari crashes on launch and you don't have another web browser, you should be able to launch Safari by starting up in safe mode.
You may have installed the "Genieo" or "InstallMac" ad-injection malware. Follow the instructions on this Apple Support page to remove it.
Back up all data before making any changes.
Besides the files listed in the linked support article, you may also need to remove this file in the same way:
    ~/Library/LaunchAgents/com.genieo.completer.ltvbit.plist
If there are other items with a name that includes "Genieo" or "genieo" alongside any of those you find, remove them as well.
One of the steps in the article is to remove malicious Safari extensions. Do the equivalent in the Chrome and Firefox browsers, if you use either of those.
After removing the malware, remember to reset your home page in all the web browsers affected, if it was changed.
If you don't find any of the files or extensions listed, or if removing them doesn't stop the ad injection, then you may have one of the other kinds of adware covered by the support article. Follow the rest of the instructions in the article.
Make sure you don't repeat the mistake that led you to install the malware. Chances are you got it from an Internet cesspit such as "Softonic" or "CNET Download." Never visit either of those sites again. You might also have downloaded it from an ad in a page on some other site. The ad would probably have included a large green button labeled "Download" or "Download Now" in white letters. The button is designed to confuse people who intend to download something else on the same page. If you ever download a file that isn't obviously what you expected, delete it immediately.
In the Security & Privacy pane of System Preferences, select the General tab. The radio button marked Anywhere  should not be selected. If it is, click the lock icon to unlock the settings, then select one of the other buttons. After that, don't ignore a warning that you are about to run or install an application from an unknown developer.
Still in System Preferences, open the App Store or Software Update pane and check the box marked
Install system data files and security updates (OS X 10.10 or later)
    or
Download updates automatically (OS X 10.9 or earlier)
    if it's not already checked.

Hi guys, I have a big problem! My bookmark shortcut entry(command D) does not work anymore and do you know by any changes how to undo resetting of Safari? Thnx a million

Try troubleshooting the Safari .plist file.
    Quit Safari.
Open a Finder window. Select your Home Folder in the Sidebar on the left. It has a small house icon. Then open the Library folder then the Preferences folder.
Move the com.apple.Safari.plist file from the Preferences folder to the Desktop. Relaunch Safari. Try a bookmark.
If that didn't help, check Safari / Preferences then select the Extensions tab. If you have any installed, turn that off, quit then relaunch Safari.
If Extensions aren't the issue, reset Safari. From the menu bar click Safari / Reset Safari. Select the top 7 buttons, click Reset.

how do I reset m safari ,,need help

What do you mean by 'reset' ? You can clear it's cache, cookies and history via Settings > Safari. If you are having problems with Safari and you want to force-close it so that you re-open it then you can do that via the iPad's taskbar : Force an app to close in iOS - Apple Support

  • How do I reset my Safari password?

A window pops up every few minutes asking if Safari could use login keychain and it ask for a password. I do not know this... Can someone help me?

It is asking to use your keychain to store and supply names and passwords for sites you go to. When ever you update a program that accesses your keychain this box will show up. I and most people click the always allow button so long as it is an application I am aware of. The password and name it is asking for is your username and password. The one you use to log into your computer, the one you used when you set up the computer, the same one it asks for when you run apple software update.

  • How can I get rid of Shockwave Player Error message? I'm not trying to play anything, but it pops up whenever I reset my Safari.

I keep getting a message on my Mac saying:
    Shockwave Player Error
To view the movie, open your browser in the 32-bit mode.
    1) In Safari, select applications/safari in the Finder and click more info
    2) Ensure that Open in 32-bit mode is selected
    3) Re-launch the browser.
I did this, and selected the open in 32-bit mode but it's still giving me this message.
Interestingly, it does this every time I reset my Safari (which I do upon closing Safari), UNLESS I unclick the "Remove all website data" item box - then I don't get this weird shockwave player error message.
I would like to know either how to get rid of the error message (stop it from popping up) or how to download/install shockwave in case I need it.

I am having this issue whenever I go to Safari privacy preferences tab it pops up this same error window repeatedly, over and over, even if I don't acknowledge the first one... it just keeps adding the error window one on top of the other. (a little offset like opening multiple browser windows).
If I switch to a different application it may even keep popping them up keeping them on top all the time.
I navigated to Library/Internet Plug-ins and there was nothing in it.

I recently had some repairs done to my ATT U-verse connection, and now my Safari doesn't open in a full screen.  How do I reset that to open in full screen?

Mountain Lion is set up to close windows when you quit a program instead of saving them. To change this, put Safari in full-screen mode, move the cursor to the top, open Safari menu while holding Option key and close Safari from the menu.
If you want to do it automatically with all programmes, open System Preferences > General, and deactivate "Close windows when quitting an application"

Visit the Apple site you want to be set as Homepage.
    Safari > Preferences > General > Homepage:
Apple site should show up and highlighted.
Click the "Set to Current Page" button at the bottom.

  • When i open safari the apple page no longer automaticaly opens. how do i reset it.

it used to be when i turned on my macbook and opened safari the apple page would open. now there is nothing in the address bar. i miss the apple page. its like family. how do i reset it?

One possibility is that Safari is trying to re-open any windows that were open when it last quit. Close the window first, then quit Safari. When you re-open Safari, is that video still loading? If so, quit Safari, then hold down the shift key while opening Safari again. This will force it to forget about the windows that were open when it quit last.
If that doesn't help, someone may be playing a prank on you... choose Preferences from the Safari menu and select the General pane. What does it say in the Homepage field?
