How do i reset play count?
How do i reset the play count on my iPod? (I have an iPod Video.) Also, in anyone knows how to do it on itunes too, that would be awesome. Thanks.
In iTunes go to edit/select all (or highlight just the songs that you want to reset). Right click on the songs and select "reset play count". Click 'ok'.
Sync your ipod to iTunes to reflect the changes on there also.

How do i reset a counter in crio scan interface mode
Hai,
I am using cRIO 9104 with NI 9421(DI SINKING) module for my counter application in scan mode.
I have a doubt that how do i reset my counter previous value when my system is in idle mode(i.e stable mode).I tried to use a timeout in property node, But i am not able to put a timeout in my code ,herewith I have attached the printscreen of my program. You can see the timeout option is in hide mode.Any other option is there to reset a counter.Kindly solve this problem and let me know the details.
Thanks and Regards

Untitled.png 292 KBYou need to get a refnum for the module. The simplest way to do this is to drag the module in the project onto your block diagram. It will drop a refnum constant for the module. You will find all kinds of useful properties and methods on this refnum. In this case the refnum is of a class named "SD Module" (where "SD" stands for "Specialty Digital") and it has a method on it for resetting counters. See the attached screenshot of the block diagram.

What is the keyboard shortcut to resetting the play count of a song? Thank You.
I don't know if Vista has anything to do with it specifically, but normally in iTunes you can select the item or set of items and then right click and pick the "Reset Play Count" option.

Reset play count for CD's that I own
In my iTunes Music Library I have only CD's that I own. I would like to reset all play counts to zero. How can I do that.
N.B. I have tried to change the play counts that appear in Library.xml, but this has no effect and gets corrected back from information stored somewhere else when I open iTunes.Hey there,
I would check out this article from methodshop explaining just how to do this. Hope it helps.

Syncing resets play count!
iTunes 10.1.1; iPod Touch 2G 8GB iOS 4.2.1
This started happening with the latest iTunes update.
Every time I sync, iTunes resets the play count to zero on the track I happened to be playing at the time I started the sync. The track is always paused and I have tried going back to the beginning of the track and going to the previous track; but still the same result.
The smart playlist I'm syncing selects 800 tunes at random based on play count > 0 and last played is not in the last 3 days. I suspect iTunes is having trouble with particular types of smart playlist - similar to problems some of us had with a previous update: http://discussions.apple.com/message.jspa?messageID=11332318#11332318
GrahamAfter trying all sorts of different combinations of things I couldn't find any correlation to playlists. I actually didn't start having this problem until after I re-created my Library following these instructions:
http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451
I only re-created the library to solve a separate issue with non-existant podcasts showing up in the Remote app. It did fix that problem, but created the play count syncing problem.
I have now reverted back to my old library and the play count syncing problem is gone.
So in my case this was clearly a problem with the actual iTunes library and not the syncing device (or somehow a combination of both).
I tried testing a brand new library in iTunes 10, but the syncing problem was still there.
It seems unlikely, but could this be a bug with libraries "created" in iTunes 10? I would assume most people have iTunes libraries that were created with an older version. There are probably not many people who have just started an iTunes library with version 10 and are also paying attention to play counts and how they sync. Perhaps this is why so few people seem to have this problem or be aware of it?
Have any of you re-created your library with iTunes 10 or started a new library with iTunes 10? -
Hi all,
I've been trying to reset the play count of all my tracks in iTunes. I've been doing this by selecting all tracks (2,862 tracks) and then control clicking the mouse to reset the play count. It asks me whether I'm sure and then I just get the beachball until I have to Force Quit. I've tried doing this with twenty tracks and I have the same problem. Does anyone have any ideas what might be going wrong ?
Thanks,

Reset Play count on ipod ?
Hi -
Can you reset the play count on the iPod Touch?
(I know you can do it for iTunes)
Thanks....Hello people, i have the same count problem in a 64 gig 3rd gen ipod touch. I've been trough all them iOS versions (j--b and also not j--b) and currently i have a fresh 4.3.2 (not j--b) and nothing has been fixed.
I copied like 20 songs this morning and played them in random order. Then i plugged in and sync. Unplugged and after played certain song that was in 1. Plugged again and this song jumped to 5 just after one play.
Bummer (just as Ellen Feiss would say)

How to I get play count on my iphone to show up in itunes on new mac?
I got a new macbook pro and downloaded the music from my other computer through homeshare. The play count on my phone would show up on the old computer but hasnt on the new mac even after syncing multiple times. I want the play count from the old computer's itunes to transfer to the new one.
Try syncing them back to your iPhone using iTunes. Open iTunes on your Mac. Connect your iPhone. Select the albums or photos on your Mac that you wish to transfer back to the iPhone. Click Sync. They should then be synced to your iPhone.

ITunes resets play count to "1" after syncing
Hi, recently I've noticed that after syncing my iPod the play count for the tracks I've played that day are showing as 1 even though many of them have been played a lot more than that (some in the 100s). This has only been only happening since I upgraded my software to iTunes 10.2.2 and is very frustrating as I find the play count info very useful.
Can anyone shed some light on why this is happening and what I can do to fix it?
Thanks,
ChrisWhen your ipod is plugged into your itune click on it in itune and uncheck sync at the bottom of the page.

How do I recover play counts/dates, etc?
I just reformatted my pc. Assuming I do have the iTunes program folder backed up somewhere, what file(s) do I need to recover to restore the play counts/dates from my old library?
I imported the saved .xml file, that shows all the files, playlists and ratings but does not show play information.
My library has 50000+ songs, I normally listen to things based on play count. I really need to get this back.
Thanks.I did have that folder backed up, but there are no .itl files.
The .qtr file looks like the best to me, any other suggestions?

"Set" (Not Reset) Play Count
Hi, I would like to specify a number of playcounts for certain songs. So for example I buy the video version of a song that I previously had audio only. So I want to transfer the count from the audio version to the new video version so that it ranks in the right place in my "most played" songs. I can see how to "reset" the playcount but this does not help given it moves the count to zero.
Thanks. MattGo to Doug's Applescripts for iTunes page (a Google search will turn up the URL for you and search for an Applescript called "Add or Subtract Playcount". It works great. You select a song or group of songs, click the Applescripts menu, pick that one, then enter in the number you want to add or subtract then simply click the PLUS or the MINIS button and that many counts will be added or subtracted from the total.

There are 5 ios devices being synced to my itunes on my conputer, how do i only make my devices sync song eatings and play countback and forth?
Cheers. There are a couple of ways to do this.
1) Open the music trimmer and trim the track that way.
2) Drag the music track onto the frame of your video where you want it to start. The music track will be below the video track. You can drag the right edge of this music track to the left to make it stop at any point. In essence, you can treat a music track just like a sound effects track or a voice track.

Reset skip count without resetting play count?
How to do this on a PC?
Likely solution
The VBS association got associated to Notepad, usually accidentally with the Open With option. You will just need to change the Current Default program for the .vbs file extension (Name) to C:\Windows\System32\wscript.exe (Microsoft Windows Based Script Host) instead of Notepad. Method Two in this tutorial will show you how to if needed.
