hi all how do you reset your security questions. i can not remember the answers. how do you reset them? i cant buy anything because it keeps coming up
If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570 -

If you don't have a rescue email address set up then go to Express Lane and select 'iTunes' from the list of 'products' in the middle of the screen.
Then select 'iTunes Store', and on the next screen select 'Account Management'
Next choose 'iTunes Store Account Questions' or 'iTunes Store account security' (it appears to vary by country) and fill in that you'd like your security questions/answers reset.
You should get an email reply within about 24 hours (and check your Spam folder as well as your Inbox).
Or you could see if the second half of Kappy's reply in this thread helps : https://discussions.apple.com/message/20357006#20357006 -
how do you reset your security questions when the rescue email address no longer exists?
Didn't the link to contact the iTunes Store staff in the 'Additional Information' section of that article work for you? If you don't already have a valid rescue email address, only Apple itself can reset the questions.

How do I reset my security questions/answers? I tried what apple recommends
You need to ask Apple to reset your security questions; ways of contacting them include clicking here and picking a method for your country, phoning AppleCare and asking for the Account Security team, and filling out and submitting this form.
They wouldn't be security questions if they could be bypassed without Apple verifying your identity.

How do i reset my security questions i forgot the answers to them?
How do i reset my security questions i forgot the answers to them?
Ok, same here, purchases cant be made, becouse as an addition to the password, apple wants your answer to security questions now... The problem with that questions is, the answers were never needed and now long forgotten!
A quicklink from Neil DOESNT solve nothing. As I first sign in to Apple, got My Apple ID, no RESCUE EMAIL was needed. With no such email I have NO CHANCE to reset this security questions.
If I reset my password, there in NO OPTION to reset this security questions as well.
So, I am strandend with some 30 bucks on my Apple acount and for now no way to spend it, thats OK, but some Apps want authentication for even updating, so I am stuck with no updates either... I purchased for about 500 bucks in last years from Apple, maybe thats it for me...
(Apple ***** more and more, maybe ut ist time to move to Android; a personal opinion).
A SOLUTION? Is there a way reseting your security questions with ONLY your Apple ID, the password for it nad a primary and alternate email; without a rescue email setup and no way to set it up???
Thx for your support, for long time I know now there is no help to be expected from Apple Service... -
