How do I resize a picture on my ipod 4g before emailing it?

The manual says it asks you if you want to resize the picture when you go to email it, but mine's not giving me that option? Help!

I noticed that too. Everyone I've talked to that has the Itouch all say that when they go to email a picture, it asks them if they want to resize it, but mine doesn't. I've looked in all the control settings on mine and can't find anything related to resizing before sending. So I didn't know why mine wasn't working and asking me.

You do this on export from iPhoto.
File -> export and note the Size option. You can decide the pixel dimensions there.

Save the attachment in a folder.
From the Organizer menu choose:
File >> Get Photos & Videos >> From Files & Folders
Navigate to your image and click Open.
If the photo is embedded, make a copy or screen grab and then whilst it’s still held in memory open the Elements Editor.
From the menu click:
File >> New >> Image from clipboard
Then use File >> Save As
Then choose jpeg.

Sending my pictures from my ipod to my email

I need to send all of my pictures from my ipod touch back to my email. Here's my delima. I had to have my laptop totally wiped out so I lost my itunes library plus my pictures stored on my hard drive (stupid, I know). All of my music and my pictures are still on my ipod, but I can't get my wifi to work for some reason. Another question. If I plug my ipod up to my laptop with an empty library, will it automatically sync to that library? Bottom line, how do I setup my wifi so I can email my pictures? Sorry, seems like I always have difficult situations.

My niece told me to click on my internet connection and click "Forget Network", then re-enter my info. It worked! For anyone having similar trouble, you might consider trying this.

How do you resize the Picture Gallery Widget? (below 279 pt)

The Picture Gallery widget works very nicely on a book, but it's way too big for my book design. I want a smaller image in the corner of the book. Something you tap on to open the picture gallery.
I can get rid of the title, the caption and the background and shrink the widget a bit, but then you go to the "metrics" section in the Inspector, and the widget will not go below a certain width or height (a potential disaster for the overall design of your book).
Bookry's widgets will not cut it either. What is the option then? Do I need to hand-code my own picture gallery widget? Good Lord..

The arrows don't show up on the iPad, they are only to aid navigation within iBA. You can use boxes in the background to frame your galleries (as the background is off). I believe it's also possible to change the colour of the dots beneath the gallery too, although I forget how to do that right now.
About Apple's rigid UX – I agree that it can be frustrating. Apple intended iBA to be used by everyone, and the sort of design options and customisability we might want may confuse the less experienced user. Apple also wanted the UI for every book to be the same – from the point of view of the new user, once you've used one iBA ebook (or iBook, I'm not sure what Apple want us to call it), you can use them all. Otherwise end users would to get used to a slightly different UI on each book, which kind of works against the idea that ideally UI should be intuitive enough to be invisible. I can see the point in that. I have created a 'How to use' section in every iBA file I've made. It get's old quickly.
Oh, and (you probably know this, but…) you can choose your own custom icon for audio. It's limited, as it's only a placeholder image that allows you to play an audio file, there's no ability to pause the audio or stop it once you choose the view as thumbnail choice. Something I'd like to see changed.

Hi there,
PLEASE HELP ME! I've imported some still images/pictures into my iMovie Project. I'm using the latest version of iMovie and the latest OS.
However, iMovie (as a default) takes the image and makes it fill the screen and I can't find a way of resizing the image so that it only fills part of the screen.
Does anybody out there have a similar issue and found a way to do it?
Any advice would be much appreciated!

You need to find yourself an old version of Imovie 6
but it has to be iMovie 6.04 nothing less nothing more.( available to work on intel PC's

Use File>Save for Web
In the upper right hand corner is a small icon. Click it to bring up a menu. In that menu you will find an optimize that you can set the file size that you would like.
In the save for web dialog box you will also find options for format, pixel dimensions, etc. if you prefer it.

I am trying to find and extract all pictures and videos that people have sent me in emails (and in other parts of the computer but not in the pictures area) over the years to copy them into my aperture collection. Does anyone know how to do that. I use Outlook 2011. X1 on the PC can do this with a preview of the pictures so you can remove all small gifs etc.

You'll have to search the web and see if anyone's offering the videos you want. Videos from the 80s are unlikely to be legally available, but you could get lucky.

Just follow these instructions:
First, make sure your iPod is in disk mode. If you're not sure that it is, connect your iPod, and open the iPod Options pane (Edit > Preferences > iPod tab). Make sure that the enable disk mode option is checked. Now, if you did this correctly, you should find your iPod as a removable drive on your computer. Go to Start > My Computer, and double click on the "J:" drive. Open the Photos folder. Open the Thumbs folder. Send all the files that end in .ithmb to me at [email protected]
