How do I resize the 3D Axis?

Hi,
the helpfile says under "Minimize, restore, move, or resize the 3D Axis"
"To resize, drag the zoom icon."
How do I do that and where is that icon? The rest is no problem.

Hi,
Here's where you click to toggle the size (only 2 sizes). You're correct that the Help document needs revision for CS5. CS4 used a different UI, which Mylineum referred to, that involves click dragging to change along a range of sizes.

    I am using a document that was formatted in excel (on a PC) --- how do i resize the document to print on one page?

    Hi phylw,
    Here is one way. View > Show Print View. At the bottom of the window is a slider control called Content Scale. Slide to the left to shrink the document.
    Under File > Print... you will see a print preview that tells you how many pages the document now occupies.

  • How does one increase the y-axis (amplitude) of the audio tracks?

    How does one increase the y-axis (amplitude) of the audio tracks? My patient appears to have flatlined. I don't want to increase the gain, just the way the waveform looks on my monitor.

    The "Expert view" is a part of the new interface of Premiere Elements 11. In your version 10, you have the Timeline and the Sceneline view choices.
    For now, I will assume that you are in the Timeline view where you utilize video and audio tracks and not a Filmstrip with scene slots.
    I suspect that you may be after the following. Let us see.
    To the right of where it shows the name "Audio 1" is a microphone icon. That represents the "Audio Display Style". There are two Audio Display Styles and you can select one or the other by toggling that microphone icon.
    a. In one instance, you will see the wave form plus a horizontal orange line which is typically the Volume Rubberband for Volume adjust. This Display Style has a light green background.
    and
    b. In the other case, you will see a dark horizontal line, no wave form. That dark line is on a light green background.
    I suspect you are at "b". Are you aware that "a" exists.
    If you want a really blown up version of "a" to look at, you could separate the audio from the video, double click the audio to open the Preview Windows, and then scale up the Preview Window.
    We will be watching for your follow up to see if we are getting in sync.
    Thanks.

    I agree it is a very bad and wasteful design especially for users on small laptop screens.
    You can drag it to whatever shape you want from the bottom left corner.
    Click on the paintbrush to make the Format side panel disappear. However you will need to use that side panel for most formatting.

    In the Export Dialogue (File -> Export) note the options at Size. This will allow you to specify a maximum length or breadth for the shot.

  • How can I format the y-axis to display durations?

    How can I cause the y-axis of this chart to reflect the values in Row 6 [Average Pace (Minutes per Mile)] of the corresponding table in duration format rather than number format. In other words, I need the y-axis to be a list of durations appearing like the figures in Row 6. Also, I need it to begin with the longest duration (10:00) and to climb to the shortest duration (5:00) at the top. I'll should mention that I already tried using the Inspector, but the "Duration" formatting option for the y-axis was not selectable while other formats were. I also tried formatting the y-axis this way to "Same as source data," and this didn't cause it to display durations either, though I had expected it to. Thanks in advance!
    Ryan

    Hi Ryan,
    Numbers can display only numeric values on the Y axis, and those values are always arranged from highest to lowest, with highest at the top.
    That said, here's what is possible:
    There is, of course, some manipulation of the data involved in this, as well as replacement of the value axis labels with custom labels in a text box.
    Here's what's happenng with the man behind the curtain:
    While the chart shows the data from row 6, it is actually graphing the data from row 7 (or whatever row you choose to place this data in.
    Row 7 uses a formula ( =-60*24*STRIPDURATION(B6) ) to first strip the Duration from the data in row 6, returning a number representing the fraction of a 24 hour day equivalent to the duration in row 6.
    It multiplies that number by 24*60 to convert it to the number of minutes (and fractions of minutes) in the duration, and changes the sign of the number to - (negative) so that the shorter values will be higher in the chart.
    Selecting row 7 and choosing Line Chart from the Charts Button's  menu produces, with one difference, the chart shown after setting the min and max values on the Y axis to -10 and -5 respectively, and incrementing the number of steps on the Y axis from 4 to 5).
    The difference, of course, is that the Y axis value labels all show negatic=ve numbers, with no m to indicate they show 'minutes.' To correct this, insert a text box and enter the six numbers 5 to 10, with each followed by an m and a return.
    Select the Text box, change the alignment to Right aligned (with the alignment button in the format bar), then drag the box in front of the Value axis labels with the 5s aligned.
    In the Inspector, choose Text inspector, then Text. Use the Space after Paragraph stepper to increase the setting until the 10 in the box aligns with the 10 in the Value Axis labels box. You may have to tweak the height of the chart slightly to achieve this alignment.
    Select the chart, then choose the Chart Inspector, then Axis. Use Choose Axis Options (for the Value Axis) to uncheck Show Value Labels.

  • Photoshop CC: Have a template that I moved image into.  Image is too small.  How do I resize the image while in the template?  Or must I go to original image file and resize there again and again until I get the right fit?

    I have a template that I am able to plug different pictures into at different times.  The problem is that when I plug an image into that template, I find that the image is either too big or too small.  Is there a way to plug the image into the template and resize the image (and not the template itself) OR will I have to go to the file with the original image and resize it there and then try to plug it in to the template to see if it fits------and if it does not fit, go back to the original file with the image and resize it again and see if that fits---and so on and so on...........?  I have tried the" image size" option but it's hit or miss------mostly miss!
    Thanks!

    Read up on Smart Objects. It looks like you have no idea as to how to create and use them.
    Jut create a Smart Object from the layer containing whatever it image it is that you are "plugging into your template".  But you do need to learn the application at its most basic levels.
    Photoshop is a professional level application that makes no apologies for its very long and steep learning curve.  You cannot learn Photoshop in a forum, one question at a time.
    Or is it possible that you don't even have Photoshop proper but the stripped-down Photoshop Elements?"
    If the latter is the case, you're in the wrong forum.  This is not the Elements forum.
    Here's the link to the forum you would want if you're working in Elements.:

    If you do have Photoshop proper, please provide the exact version number of that application and of your OS.

  • How do I resize the column in numbers for the iPad

    Hi, I have numbers app in my iPad and I can't figure out how to resize the columns.  There are no column headers when I create a new spreadsheet, and I can't click between the columns and even when I turn wrap text off it doesn't resize just overlay.
    I hope there has to be a way that I just can't figure out as it seems like a very simple task that should be obvious.
    Karena

    Tap on any cell in a table to bring up the table options. You'll see two bars above and to the left of the table. There is a dot in a circle on the top left, and two toggles to increase/decrease the number of rows or columns. To change the width of a column, tap in the bar above the table in the column which you want to resize, and that column will become highlighted. From here you can select multiple columns using the handles to resize multiple columns at once. In the bar at the top, there are two little dashes - drag this left and right to resize the column.

  • How can I resize the size of the Excel web part?

    I have a spreadsheet that i want to use to populate a page in my SharePoint site.  i copied the workbook to the site, created the page and added the excel web part. then i linked the workbook to the web part and submitted.  it displays but only
    about 25% of the sheet shows. i dont want to use the thumbs to scroll inside the web part. i want the web part sized to show the entire spreadsheet.  cant seem to find how to size the web part. Can some kind soul help me out here.
    thanks

    Hi,
    According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to resize the size of the Excel web part.
    Per my knowleadge, most of the time excel web parts turn out ugly, due to the fact that they’re rendered in an iframe and therefore the browser doesn’t resize the container to fit the content.
    As a workaround, we can edit the page where you want the resizing to happen, add in a content editor web part, and paste the following code into the source editor.
    <script src="http://ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.4.2/jquery.min.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
    <script type="text/javascript">
    $(function () { // resizes excel webparts
    $("td[id^='MSOZoneCell_WebPart']").each (function (i, e) {
    var findIframe = $(e).find ("iframe:first");
    if (findIframe &amp;&amp; findIframe.attr ("scriptforiframecontent"))
    bindEwaLoaded ("#"+e.id);
    function bindEwaLoaded(obj) { // bind event to the web part
    $(obj).bind ("ewaLoaded", function (e) {
    var b = $(e.target).find ("iframe:first").attr ("postedbackalready");
    if (b == undefined) // loop until iframe is ready
    setTimeout (function() { $(e.target).trigger ("ewaLoaded"); }, 1000);
    else // try to resize now
    ewaSetSize (e.target);
    }).trigger ("ewaLoaded"); // first trigger now
    function ewaSetSize(obj) { // resize elements
    // configure paddings
    var excelObjectWidthPadding = 50;
    var excelObjectHeightPadding = 50.
    var w, h, div1, div2;
    var e = $(obj).find ("iframe:first").contents().find ("table.ewrnav-invisibletable-nopadding:last");
    if (e.length != 0) { // excel table
    w = e.width ();
    h = e.height ();
    div1 = $(obj).find ("table:first> tbody:first> tr:eq(1)> td> div> div");
    div2 = $(div1).find ("table:first> tbody:first> tr:eq(1)> td> div");
    } else {
    e = $(obj).find ("iframe:first").contents().find ("div.ewrchart-img-div");
    if (e.length != 0) { // excel chart
    w = e.width ();
    h = e.height ();
    div1 = $(obj).find ("table:first> tbody:first> tr:eq(0)> td> div> div");
    div2 = $(div1).find ("table:first> tbody:first> tr:eq(1)> td> div");
    if (w == 0 || w == undefined) { // loop until content is ready
    setTimeout (function() { ewaSetSize (obj); }, 1000);
    } else { // do resize
    w += excelObjectWidthPadding;
    h += excelObjectHeightPadding;
    div1.width (w);
    div2.height (h);
    </script>

  • How do you change the y axis value in numbers

    Hi
    relatively new to numbers. How do you alter axis value and set minimum, maximum values an step values in numbers
    Cheers

    Hi CA,
    Did you really intend to post this Numbers question in the Pages forum?
    Axis values are set in the Axis section of the Chart Inspector:
    Select the chart.
    Default values are 4 steps and auto settings from data for the min and max values for each axis. The x axis is a Value axis only for a scatter chart. Otherwise it is a Category axis.
    To set Min, Max values and number of steps for either axis, click in the appropriate box, then either type the value or use the stepper (which apears) to step to your chosen value.
    The maximum number of steps is 10.

  • Im trying to add a photo with another photo how do i resize the one i want to add

    How to resize a photo in photoshop?

    Mylenium’s advice to check out some basic tutorials is right on the money. Regarding your immediate problem, it sounds as though you are asking how to resize an image that appears as a layer over anther image. If that is the case, choose Edit > Transform > Scale. You’ll see a bounding box. If you cannot see all four corners, choose Cmd+0 (that’s zero, not oh). Hold down the Shift key to maintain proportion and drag a bounding box corner mark diagonally to resize the layered image. Last, hit the Commit check mark in the upper right corner of the Options bar.

  • How can I resize the PDF I created with a magazine template?

    Hello! I used a template that`s a different size than what I need. How can I resize (make it smaller) the PDF that I just created with this magazine template?

    So you picked a template in A4 format, and now you need letter. The printer can scale the PDF to 11" and it will get even narrower, leaving large margins. Does it have bleeds? That woudl be a disaster.
    Frankly, the best thing is to start over using the correct page size, but you can go to File > Document Setup... in ID and change the shape of the exisiting file. Expect to do a lot of work moving and resizing objects and refitting the type.

  • How can I change the X-axis increment in a waveformgraph

    The X-axis always increments by 1, but I am acquiring one point of data every 100 ms. So my chart moves 10 times fater that the real time. How can I set my x-axis to increment 0.1 every time I add data to my Waveformgraph in VB net?
    The X-axis collection is not showing any property to change that.
    I have a continuous data acquisition giving me timed data at 100 ms rate.

    Thank you for posting to the NI forums.  You can set the update increment of the WaveformGraph plot function by using the overloaded function as follows:
    PlotYAppendMultiple( ByVal yData As Double(,),
       ByVal orientation As DataOrientation,
       ByVal increment As Double )
    I did this in the VB.NET example program, "ContAcqVoltageSamples_IntClk", by adding the following line to the dataToDataTable function.
    WaveformGraph1.PlotYAppendMultiple(sourceArray, NationalInstruments.UI.DataOrientation.DataInRows, 0.1)
    The increment will be set to 1 / (sampling frequency), so in your case, it will be set to 0.1.  This function is documented in the NI-DAQmx .NET Framework 2.0 Help.
    I hope this helps.  Post back if you have any further questions.

  • How do i resize the image getting captured by ImageSnapshot???

    hey guys... so im taking an image of a movie clip using ImageSnapshot.captureBitmapData(myClip);
    i need to resize the bitmap data that i get back, the size needs to be 720X486
    the code i have is...
    var myClip:MovieClip = event.target as MovieClip;
    var imageBitmapData:BitmapData = ImageSnapshot.captureBitmapData(myClip);
    var pngEncode:PNGEncoder = new PNGEncoder();
    var ba:ByteArray = pngEncode.encode(imageBitmapData);
    any ideas??? i tried to use the matrix.scale, but i guess i didnt understand on how to use it properly...
    any help is greatly appretiated!!
    thanks

    Hi,
    You can also use the below approach to  capture the BitmapData of your moviclip(myClip).
    So that you can make use of matrix class to resize the bitmap image.
         var myClip:MovieClip = event.target as MovieClip;
         var imageBitmapData:BitmapData = new BitmapData(myClip.width,myClip.height);
        var pngEncode:PNGEncoder = new PNGEncoder();
        var ba:ByteArray = pngEncode.encode(imageBitmapData);
        var m:Matrix = new Matrix();
        imageBitmapData.draw(myClip,m);
        m.scale(1.2,1);
