How do I resolve inconsistent color definition message even if all my files have the same definition
All of the files in my book have the same exact color definiti
ons: New Color1. Yet I keep getting the inconsistent color definition messag
es every time I go to print or regenerate my toc. I still get results but It's annoying!
Does EACH document have the SAME definition of NewColor1? Having the same name does not imply that they are the same definition.
Try opening the first document in the book. Then select all the documents in the book file and import the color definitions from the opened file. This will make all the documents have the same definitions as in the first document.

All my contacts have the same birthday... how to remove them?

I have had this issue for a few years... in fact, since the very DAY I switched from Windows to MAC! All my contacts have that date entered as their birthday as well as their aniversary. Sounds funny perhaps but.... is not, really.
How can I just deletes all birthdays and anniversaries in bulk or (even better) only do that for those ocntacts that have that specific date entered as thier birthday/anniversary (as I do have some contacts with correcth birthday which Iñd love to conserve). Now again yesterday after your suggestion again I restored the device but the result was same. Then I thought a new thing. I restored the device one more time but after restoring I didn't configure the icloud account. Surprisingly all my old contacts are there in the device but those 26 contacts are not there. Now I will tell you how this must have happened? I had 3gs earlier. that was stolen 3 months ago. I put the device in lost mode. I purchased new iphone4. I restored with itune. All my data came back. After that I saved these 26 new contacts to my device which also saved in icloud but when I tried to backup on my pc it was not happening. the messege coming device disconnected. 2 days back my stolen device came online. Lost mode was activated by icloud. But what I think in between that time the other fellow must have deleted the phone contacts. And as per icloud also deleted the same. Only the 26 contacts which I saved in these 3 months remained in icloud. Now bro can u help me out? What I should do? I have 26 contacts in icloud and < 500 in my device. I don't understand when all other Co's mobile you can import contacts from any backup file iphone can not. This is the DRAWBACK OF IPHONE.

Hi, I want to know which devices (iMac, MacBook, iPod, iPhone, iPad & PC) are using my iCloud account, specifically because of iMessage going to devices that im not aware of.
A list of those devices would be great.
I do have a list of the ones with find my i activated, but i want the full list. Or at least the ones being used by FaceTime or iMessage!
Thank you in advance!I don't think there's a single place that will give you a list but you can check your devices to create one. On your iOS devices go to Settings>Messages>Receive At and check the Apple ID at the top. You can check FaceTime at Settings>FaceTime. You can check iCloud at Settings>iCloud>Account. On your Mac go to System Preferences>iCloud> click on Account Details. On your PC go to Start>Control Panel>Network and Internet>iCloud (you Apple ID is listed on the left).

Cannot separate multi page document for page numbering. First page numbered (1) produces same number on 5 following pages. How do I correct this?
You just wrote a 1 in the footer? Use Insert > Page number instead.

How do I rank or rotate a raw and jpg version (combo?)of the same photo with 1 click in Lightroom 4?
Hi, i am new to this forum
I did some searching, but could not find the answer.
I only make stacks of exactly the same photos, but with different formats, mostly 2 jpg versions and a raw. If i change photos further, i unstack that photo, to see the different photos right away.
So, i always want to apply changes to all the photos in a stack, because all basic versions have the same rank, should have the same rotation, and other exif data that i change.
Does anybody know how to always change all photos in a stack in Lightroom?

If you shoot RAW+JPEG, there is a spechial option in LR (Preferences>General>Treat JPEG files next to raw files as separted photos) which teats both as one item (unchecked).
All your metadata change is appliled to both, but you do not see the JPEG in LR.
I started with this setting on. But after a while, I recongnized, that I do not want the JPEGs anylonger. Why? Because I did two things:
1. I tried to develop the RAW in a way it looks like the JPEG. Well, O.K. This is only usefull for a very limited number of images (low light, high light) where you have to rescue information from the RAW that is lost in the JPEG. For all other images, it is easier to use the JEPG
2. I developed the RAW in a way that it looks different from the JPEG. I did so, because I want to show this version to others, not the JPEG. Therefore I deleted the JPEG.
There is no way in LR to apply a function / preset to a stack. Only the marked images are affedted. This is the problem with stacks. E.g. you go into a folder with stacks, select all, export all selected and notice, that some images are missing (the ones in the collapsed stack). Every time I got into a folder with stacks and do not want to organize the images, I select "Expand all stacks" from he menu. -

I have a problem concerning inconsistent color definitions when I print a book file on the Linux system.
The error message says:
Color definition: Color8 is inconsistent
This may relate to the fact that this .fm file is copied from Windows version FrameMaker file.
How can I solve the problem?

AliceThe message means that a color named "Color8" is defined in
more than one of the files in the book, and that the definition
differs between the files. This could be highly undesirable if
the color is being used and you are doing color productions.
The remedy is to make all color definitions the same in all
files by importing color definitions to the entire book.
BTW, the message is a warning and should not prevent you from
printing the book.
If you're familiar with the files in the book, and you feel
confident that "Color8" is not used for anything important,
and you're not doing high-quality color productions, then:
1. In the book window, select all the files in the book.
2. In the book windows, select File > Import > Formats
3. Deselect everything except "color definitions"
4. At the top, select the file you copied from Windows in
"import from document"
5. Click "import"
6. Save all files and try printing again.
If you're not familiar with the files and you're not sure if
"Color8" could be used for anything important, you should
either consult with someone who designed the files, or at
least select one of the other files in the book to import
colors from. In this case, find a file in the book that contains
the color "Color8" (use View > Color > Definition). Once you've
found such a file, follow the instructions above and use this
file to import colors from.
Even better is if you have access to a template file for the
book that contains all definitions of formats. Then open that
file in FM and use it to import from.

I am having this problem too...and also I (most of the time) can't invite anyone on my google apps domain to a meeting. WEIRD! HELP!!! I just switched to Mac from PC...this was supposed to be EASY!
I get all kinds of error messages...
1) The request for “Test Appointment” in “[email protected]” in account “yyyy.com Google” failed. The server responded with “400” to operation CalDAVScheduleEventQueueableOperation. *My google calendar *IS* updated despite the error, but the appointment is greyed out on my calendar.
2) The URL https://calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user///calendar.google.com/calendar/dav/[email protected]/user/ encountered HTTP error 404. Make sure the URL is correct. The URL *IS* correct.
Also, when I try to invite people to appointments, iCal adds random attendees and frequently will not add an attendee if they are in my domain. HELP. -
My husband has an iPad and I just got one for me. We both have the same e-mail address. The message I get when I try to initiate setup is that the Apple ID is already in use. Any ideas on how to complete the setup of the new iPad since we both share the e-mail account?
If you selected open a new Apple ID account, go back a step and enter use existing Apple ID.
You will have to set up a separate iCloud account or your iPads will mirror each other. -
I live in a house with multiple iCloud users. When they try to turn on "Find my computer" they get the message that they will have to disable my "find my computer" setting in order to enable theirs. How can they all be enabled at the same time?

Hello,
If I have a WSDL file (either from a .net web service or from the famous Amazon web services), what is the best way to generate a SOAP compliant request message?
I am having trouble understanding the role of WSDL file in a given web service.
Question 1:
If I have a web service that is implemented using jaxm, how do I create/publish a WSDL file that describes the web service?
Assuming I can generate a wsdl file, can I recreate the SOAP request message from the WSDL file automatically (that matches the original request, which is hand build by me?)
Question 2:
If I have a web service that is implemented using JAX-RPC, based on the WSDL file, can I simply generate a valid SOAP message (by some JAVA api) and get the response message directly?

You need to ask the printing service provider. Dealing with color totally depends on the printing process involved and of course the machines used. -
Aperture 3: After sending my book for printing to Apple the Apple Store told me that my text and the background have the same color and they couldn't print the book. But I couldn't find any problem in the preview. How could I find the pages where the problems are? Or otherwise, why doesn't print Apple the book how it is. Idon't need the text which couldn'be seen.
