You will then want to reiniate the download. I would recommend also choosing your User folder, which is the default, or your desktop folder to save the install files too.
Alternately you can follow the directions listed at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/981369 to initiate a direct download.

I'm noticing the same issue on a trial download. Error message stating I don't have permissions. Which is wierd because I have full admin access.
I believe the download assistant tools is not requesting permission which installers typically do by prompting an js window input Admin password.
Currently the installer is not installing to my mac's Applications folder instead asking me to save to a user/myName/
I am on OSX 10.8.2 Please advise thanks.

Download Assistant won't work. Error 107.

Download assistant doesn't work. Login works okay but then I get "Error communicating with Adobe. Error 107. Restart download assistant." I'm on Windows XP 32 and restarting the assistant or the machine doesn't help. This worked fine last night but I had to clear some disc space, so I couldn't download last night. I'm trying to get AE 6.

The tech specs for After Effects CS6 say that we need a 64-bit system. http://www.adobe.com/products/aftereffects/tech-specs.html
That's probably the reason why Adobe Download Assistant is not letting you download.

This was so annoying!! It took me a good couple of hours but i figured it out, you need to do the following: Go to the folder where you saved the download (in my case i saved it in My Downloads) -> click on 'Adobe Photoshop Elements 12' -> click on 'PSE 12' -> click on 'Setup' (select the icon which is a box with a shield) -> follow instructions and....voila! You will need to restart when it suggests so save anything else first, then when it reboots you should see the icon on your desktop....hpe this helps!

That usually doesn't happen (unless you do not use automatic login) unless you boot into Safe Mode. When prompted do you enter your admin password? What happens when you do that?
