If the number is no longer in the recents list in the phone app, I would suggest checking with your carrier to see if they provide this information. I have an online account with my carrier and it lists all the calls called and received during the current billing period.

My phone edited by mod stopped working on the evening of Feb. 24th. I reported the problem the next morning and was told that it would be fixed within three days. The problem turned out to be at the local exchange and new cabling was required to resolve the problem. This required local traffic control which was scheduled to be in place on March 10th. March 10th came and went and I was told that the engineers installing the cable were not updating the engineers who were supposed to configure the phone service once the new cable was in place. At no point was I given an estimate of when I might expect my service might be restored. I finally got an update on March 27th which said the traffic control would be in place on March 31st to install the required cabling. A further update said my phone should be working on April 2nd. On April 6th with my phone still not working I received an update saying that the engineers who going to install the cabling required traffic lights which weren't available until this coming Saturday, April 11th. Now I'm hoping against hope that the cabling might be installed this Saturday and I might receive an update of when I can expect my phone to be working again. Then I can hope that that update might actually be acurate and I might actually have phone service. I really have a hard time seeing why in over six weeks time no one at BT can give me an accurate estimate of when my phone service can be restored. I have no luck at all getting any useful information by calling BT on the usual line (0800 800 151) since all I'm told is that my problem will be updated soon. Any help or actual, useful information would be very much appreciated. Failing that, I guess I have to wait until week 8 of no service and try my luck with the communications ombudsman.

No landline phone service for more than a week

I have been without landline phone service since Wednesday September 4th, 2013. Today, September 12, is a full 8 days without phone service. I have called Verizon countless amount of times with promises to come and fix my service but to no avail. I was informed this was an area outtage which would make me think they would fix it faster but no. I am so disappointed with the way Verizon has been handling this situation. Typical, if you ask me. It was tele tech. I couldn't open my Page Numbers etc. Frist tech chat idiot - following dumping few things in bin, asked me yo upgrade to Yosemite. But the problem still persists. This morning I was asked to do it via telephone and like yesterday, after wasting 20 min, I was put to this apparent Tech Queen ( my foot!). She eventually decided to reinstall Yosemite asked me to connect my external drive while I connected to her. She was moving cursor asking me to move files and delete and I followed her like a dummy. It took 3/4 hours and she called me 3 times once the lengthy process was completed. I suspected from the beginng for the fact that why should be asking me to click all my backup from the very beginning! Eventually she said I deleted... Or someone else or may be my children ! It was a blatant lie. I run my small business from home and I was simply staying in front of the Mac whole day! Children were at school. Then she said I must have used another computer! I only have laptop and the iPad. I will talk to their manager first thing in the morning. In the mean time please let me know as to how can I transfer photos, music etc back to my laptop from my Iphone and IPad .? I am will connect to laptop as I am worried the new BLANK iPhoto may supersede iphone/iPad stuff? Will it? Please let me know. I am not a very tech savvy person. My son who could help me, is in Manchester Uni and Inam in London.

Where were you syncing the contacts to, iCloud, the computer and Outlook, an email account? That is where you get them back from.

If you've been losing your phone as directed, you should have no data loss as you've been making frequent backups and synching your contacts to a cloud service or contact manager application.

I got so tired of my buggy Nokia 6350 that I went to my service provider's website (AT&T) and bought an iPhone 3GS. When it arrived I read the instructions, found some confusing directions there and am in the process of asking for clarifications in the AT&T discussion forum.
The reason I'm posting here is that my brother, who works at a cell phone call center, advised me to back up all my phone numbers from the Nokia before attempting this flip phone to smart phone transition. I have a USB cord that connects the Nokia to my PC, but Windows XP tries to "install the new hardware" and looks for a CD. I never got a CD with the Nokia. And I can't use the Ovi suite because -- just my luck -- the 6350 is one of the minority of phones not compatible with the Ovi suite.

With your Mail app open and the listing of the messages, tap Edit at the top right. Then check each circle on the left side of the messages to delete. When you have checked those to delete, tap Trash at the lower right.

You cannot. However, if your back up is through iTunes on your computer and you do an internet search for something like "iPhone BackUpExtractor", I believe there is software that will help you access the SQL database that is your back up. You may be able to pull out what you need.
Once you restore from a back up, any data that was on the phone is gone.

I was updating to the new ios8. I got to where I could choose a backup method from icloud or iTunes. My very latest backup was on icloud yesterday so I went with icloud. It showed me backups from yesterday, Oct 9th, and Oct 8th. I chose yesterday. I was then prompted to enter the Apple ID password for "this just in [email protected]" (no spaces). I have no freaking clue who's account that is but it IS NOT mine. So I hit the back button and tried with the other two but got the same thing. This is freaking me out now. Did you buy a used iPhone? It appears that it's locked to that account.
