How do I restore my 80gb ipod if it doesn't show up in itunes?

My ipod seems to have gotten corrupted somehow, it show everything stored on it as "other" an orange bar, no music, no videos, no pics. Also it doesn't show up in the itunes source area so I can not restore from there. I tried the 5 R's, didn't really do anything but get it into disk mode. Anyway if there is another way to restore without itunes your help is appreciated.

There is no way to restore your iPod if it doesn't show in iTunes, although if shows up under "my computer" you could try a reformat there.
I only know the instructions for XP so I'm not sure if it's the same with Vista.
First, put the iPod into forced disk mode.
See: How to put the iPod into disk mode.
On your PC, go "my computer" and right click on the iPod, then choose "format". Ensure the settings are at "default" and that "quick format" is not checked. Now select "format". It will take a while, but when that's finished, restore the iPod using the updater.
To exit forced disk mode, reset the iPod.

However, after your remove the Apple software components also remove the iCloud Control Panel via Windows Programs and Featurs appin the Window Control Panel. Then reinstall all the Apple software components
- New cable and different USB port
- Run this and see if the results help with determine the cause

For the future, saying you tried everything provides us with zero informatin as to what you did try. If you really tried everything then there is no way would could help.

Why my Ipod Touch 4g doesn't show all my iTunes Match library?

I'm connecting my iPod Touch 4g to iTunes Match (using WiFi) but it isn't showing all my files. If I choose the option "Music" I can see all of them, but if I select "Artists" or "Albuns" I can't see them anyway. Even when using the "Search" tool, some times I can find the invisible content and some times I have an answer such as I don't have that file/album on my library. I have also an iPad 3rd gen that works fine with iTunes Match, so the problem is related to my iPod really.

How do you know the camera does not work if you do not have the FT or Camera apps?
Could those apps be hidden by Restrictions? Go to Settings>General>Restrictions and check

ok, ive been having the dame problem as the guy/girl who posted it i went to the site and i restarted the iPod service, that didn't work, then i uninstalled itunes and it showed up in itunes the first time i pluged my it in but a message, i thnk it was "-48" something about not being able to sync but it synced all the songs but the next time i plugged it didn't show up in itunes and a message in the bottom syaing "Windows - Delayed Write Failed, Windows was unable to save all the data for the file I:\ipod.control
