How do I restore "Preview" 2.1.0 (V211) application for 10.3.9 system?

My old application got corrupted and I need to reinstall that application. Where can I find the PREVIEW application mentioned?

If the computer shipped with Panther 10.3 on its install-restore disc set,
you may be able to "archive and install' a new system folder, and then
update it with all the final stuff to bring it up to 10.3.9, including the last
flash player, browser, and quicktime versions supported by that old OS.
What are the symptom you notice, with this "corrupted" Preview app?
There is a possibility there is something else behind symptoms you see.
{You may be able to get a similar Preview app from a retail version of
Panther 10.3.x if it is newer than the installed one your original 10.3
OS X system (if that is what shipped with the computer, new) and use
it without a problem. The A&I process, or Pacifist, are two best ways.}
Or, if you have and can use the downloadable software utility (demo
would work, it runs free) of Pacifist from CharleSoft software, online,
it may be able to let you find and install just the part(s) you need from
the Install-restore disc set to get Preview from the install disc; this can
be done without running the OS X installer on the system disc.
Since drag and drop often is not satisfactory in some aspects of OS X
it may not work to just get a Preview app from some other Panther
system in a different running Mac, and put it on a USB thumbdrive to
drag it into the system. That may work, but it may not let you modify
the system to do it, since there are privilege and permission levels.
However, it may just ask for an Admin password to allow that action.
If it did work, to drag & drop a copy from some other OS X, of this
Preview app, you'd certainly need to consider repairing disk and also
repair disk permissions.
(There is no available Preview app by itself you could get by dragging
content files from the Install-Restore disc, so Pacifist is a fair bet.)

If you want Preview to open all PDFs, then find a PDF on your HD.
Highlight it, and then press the Apple/Comand key along with th letter " i " key.
When the window comes up, look down to the "Open with" line, and change it from Adobe to Preview.
Then look slightly below, and select "Change All."
Now, all PDFs should open with Preview.

Here is my situation. My iPad2 is constantly crashing. Whenever I use an app it runs for about 30 seconds and then the screen blinks black and I go back to my my home screen. At first I erased all the data and settings and tried to restore my backup from icloud. When I did this, it started crashing again right away. Then I erased all the data and reset it to run as a new ipad. In doing this, I redownloaded all my apps and everything is working fine. However, I have about a years worth of data in NoteShelf (note taking app) that is on icloud but that I cannot access. How can I just restore the data from that one app?

How do you restore Firefox Bookmarks after an OS overlay for Windows2000?

Second time system has been crashed by power interruption. First time, the OS overlay "fix" solved the problem and everything was still there regarding bookmarks when the Firefox browser was reinstalled. This time, the OS overlay looks like it swiped everything on Firefox. The folders are still on the hard drive but now I have a Firefox and a Firefox II folders but only one active profile that matches what the articles say I would find. The one "places. sqlite" file I can see from troubleshooting is 10 MB big...that's got to be the old bookmarks, so how do I make it active in this latest copy of Firefox that had to be re-installed again from the actual Mozilla website?

I'm not certain what it was as it wasn't really a system restore nor was it a legitimate reformatting process. It seemed to delete everything except emergency backing up of some files that I was allowed to select. I could see the file names and locations but while halfway, I accidentally started the process halfway and it started the process. I could've turned it off but I knew better than to turn off a computer in a vulnerable state. Better to get some data and limit the mistakes.
It wasn't really a recovery, the computer was going into the blue screen and wouldn't boot into the start up menus, etc so I'm lucky that I was able to salvage most of the files with the built in emergency backup. I'm lucky because the last time I had another computer that died and I couldn't salvage a single file and there were thousands of files and bookmarks on it!
A good lesson learned, always backup and be ready to expect the unexpected! I tried the recuva program and it wasn't that thorough and I couldn't find my files. Thanks!

How can I restore the iPhoto app deleted from applications by accident?

I am trying to restore the app iPhoto that was deleted. I restarted the computer using the Mac OS X v10.2 upgrade Install disc 1 and the response was, "you have a newer version of this system on your iMac" or something like that. How can I reinstall the original app or even an updated version that is compatible with OSX 10.2.8 (6R73)?

How do I set Preview to be the default app for opening ALL pdf's?

I have both Preview and Acrobat Professional on a Macbook Air running Mountain Lion.
I don't see an option if I get info on Preview to set it as the default app for all PDF's.
Where can I set this? I only use Acrobat on occasion for form fill-in but prefer to use Preview.

I have pressed clear data for Firefox in Android Application manager. On SGS4 it is Settings->Options->Application manager->Fitefox->Clear data. Can I restore my bookmarks now?

Android's Clear Data button completely deletes your Firefox settings files. I am not aware of any way to undo that unless there is an "unerase" tool for Android files as there are on desktop operating systems.
Some ways you might have made a copy of those bookmarks:
* Did you ever set up Firefox Sync and sync the bookmarks to a Firefox Account?

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

I installed Leopard and have just installed iWork.
I started noticing that the applications of .doc and .xls that come in file attachments in my mail do not use Pages and Numbers as their default application.
.doc uses TextEdit
I copied the file to the desktop, changed the default app to Pages, but it still doesn't work. All new mails with .doc still uses TextEdit as default app.
How to change this?

Please always post your System details when you have a query. The upgrade to the new MobileMe calendar produces different results, and different problems, with different versions of OSX.
Snow Leopard: during the upgrade process your iCal calendars should be moved to MobileMe (this can take some time and you have to wait for it to happen). Once done, your iCal reads the calendars from MobileMe so any changes made in either place will be visible immediately. If this has not happened then this Apple Tech Note provides instructions:
