The photos could have gone a couple of different places ...but it is unlikely that they are lost forever. It kind of depends how your Backup was done. With many Computer-based iTunes connections, your Computer Photo App will actually open first when you connect your iPhone and the photo transfer will happen between the iPhone and the App. Assuming that isn't what happened in your case, but you did Backup on iTunes, you could reconnect to iTunes and then click on your iPhone button on the Computer screen ...typically the iTunes Summary screen will show up ...but you can tab-through the various iTunes Screens and find the Photo page. You could check your options and see if you have a Manual Sync setting regarding iTunes to iPhoone ...this would mean you have to select the Photos you want to download to the iPhone during the Sync.

It is not an app. It is a feature of icloud and iphone. Did you set it up on the iphone itself BEFORE it was stolen? If not, then you cannot track it at all.
Change your passwords and report it to the police.

Hi! I was browsing my facebook account when my iphone 3G restarted on its own. The apple icon appeared and when the "restarting" process was over, I lost all my installed apps, the contents of my phonebook were gone, all text meassages saved were also gone. I upgraded to OS5 yesterday and all my contacts including names, email addresses, and phone numbers have been deleted. When I tried to revert to a previous back up, the only one was the one that was done right before I downloaded the new OS. All other previous backups were gone. In addition, I bought 40.00 worth of extra storage space to back up to iCloud and had to start it over several times before it finally worked...25 hours later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, but I'm not clear on what you're asking. Do you mean that the Purchased playlist is gone? If that's what you mean, just create a new Smart Playlist with Kind = Protected AAC audio file. That will recollect all your purchased music.

My phone recently had a problem where it needed to be restored every few hours. So I backed up my data on itunes and just before my phone restored, it completely broke and only the itunes logo appeared on my phone. So I sent it to be fixed and when I brought it back home to try to restore from back up, it wouldn't work as it wasn't even an option when I right clicked my device on itunes.
Is there any way to retrieve that data for free. I've lost over 1500 photos,all my contacts and much more.

That's the main problem. There is no option to "restore from backup " for me because my phone broke during the process of restoring. I'm concerned about the fact that itunes has history of my back up but no way of recovering anything I backed up.
