How do I retrieve deleted emails and messages?

If you want to retrieve your mail, and you don't know how to recover deleted Emails. You can sign in to your email first.
Then click Trash along the left side of any Gmail page. Locate the message you'd like to move to your inbox, and check the box next to the sender's name. Click Move to Inbox. See, the email recovery is as simple as Data Recvoery. Just try this way.

Yeah not a problem. It does seem though that if you did not have a Time Machine backup then you may not be able to recover the deleted folder :/ But for future reference to prevent any of this, a Time Machine backup is a great investment.
What it does is create an entire backup of your computer anything from personal information down to the screen saver.
What you first need is a new external hard drive (I would recommend a 1TB or higher just to prevent running out of space soon).
after that, just plug in the drive to your computer.
once it is plugged in, in the top right hand corner, close to the wi-fi symbol, you should see a symbol that looks like a clock with a backwards arrow around it.
click on that and select "open time machine preferences"
just turn the button to the "on" position, and select the backup drive and Time Machine does the rest

Hello potipher. With regards to retrieving deleted text messages, or viewing a different phone's messages, there really is no way to do this without additional software. If your line, or the other lines on your account are smartphones, (Android or iPhone) you can download an application called Verizon Messages. There is a huge difference between sending email and sending messages.
Yes, I believe you when you say you can only send messages to other Apple products. The iPad is not a telephone, and therefore, it cannot text message. It can only iMessage, which means it can send and receive messages to/from other Apple products if they are on WiFi or an iMessage capable cellular network.
Email, however, is a whole different category. I don't really think you can only exchange email with other Apple products only. Make sure you have correctly identified the symptoms.

In addition to what's mentioned in the article, if you have lots of photos and videos attached to your text messages, these are all included in your iCloud backup and deleting them can sometimes significantly reduce the size of your backup.
If worse comes to worse, back up your phone to your computer rather than iCloud. To do this, connect it to your computer, open iTunes and go to File>Devices>Back Up and to File>Devices>Transfer Purchases. This can be used to restore your data when you get your phone back. (In fact, it's faster because you don't have to download the data from iCloud.)

Update - I deleted/re-added my account. Same issue. Also, no my Exchange calendar won't sync. Issue appears to be on the Exchange server. I see the following errors in my iPhone log:

How do I retrieve lost notes and pictures

Not sure about pictures, but for iphone notes:
After many hours of trying everything to retrieve my lost notes (several just disappeared overnight for no reason) it dawned on me that they were linked to one of my email accounts (In my case yahoo).
I logged into that account directly from the yahoo site (not iphone mail!) and "Voila!" all of my notes, even the disappeared ones, were there!
Took some cut & pasting and I'm back in business.

First time to sync iphone 4 to computer and I have accidently deleted all my photos and contacts! All the photos from my computer are now in albums on my iphone. Any help in how to get back deleted photos and contacts would be greatly appreciated.
