How do I retrieve my Exchange contacts cache?

I accidentally deleted an Exchange account from my iPhone that has most of my contacts linked to it.  Unfortunately, my contacts were not backed up in iTunes or on the iCloud and the Exchange account is from a former employer.  Does anyone know of a way I can retrieve them?

  • How can I get my Exchange contacts to sync over to iCloud?

How can I get my Exchange contacts to sync over to iCloud?
If I delete my Exchange account, my contacts get removed as well.
My Exchange account is my default.
I've also installed the iCloud app on my Windows machine running W8 and Outlook 2013 where my Exchange account runs on.

You would have to export your contacts from Exchange and import them into iCloud somehow. I have to admit I don't know of an easy way to do this but maybe one of the other volunteers here will know how to do it.

  • How do you retrieve a deleted contact?

MY nephew accidentaly deleted some of my contacts. How do I retrieve them without using a computer?

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't so far as I know but if you have access to a computer...
To restore from a back up made through iTunes, follow these instructions.
To restore from a back up made through iCloud, try the following:
The difficulty in restoring iCloud data from a back up is that the back up is older than the current version on iCloud and anything that is restored gets removed again when an iCloud sync occurs.
Ensure the device is connected to your local network.
Start the restore from iCloud back up.
Allow the devices settings to restore (watch for the confirmation of completion).
As the apps begin to restore pull the connection to your router WAN port (the one that goes to the telephone point).
Wait for the time out confirmation.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn off contact syncing (keep contacts when prompted).
Reconnect the router to the internet and let the restore process complete.
Delete any iCloud contacts from iCloud.com on a computer.
Navigate to settings > iCloud and turn on contact syncing (merge contacts when prompted).
May I suggest that you carry out a back up to iTunes before you try anything, that way should things become even worse, you can at least restore back to where you are now.

  • How do I retrieve my deleted contacts?

My wife got an iPhone today and didn't realize that once she synced her phone to the computer, that  my contacts would also be added to her phone. What she also didn't realize what that if she deleted them out of her phone she was also deleting them out of mind. Does anyone have suggestions on how to retrieve my deleted contacts? I've restored my phone through iTunes with no luck. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

This may or may not work depending on when your phone last backed up.

  • How do I export Outlook exchange contacts to icloud?

I have an outlook exchange email account with my company and it is going to be disabled because I am leaving in a few days and I want to export all my contacts to icloud. How do I do this?

You can't (directly) so export them from Outlook to the desktop as a csv file. Then convert the csv to a vcf (vCard) file and import that to iCloud.

  • How can i retrieve my deleted contacts?

From the supported contact application you use to sync contacts, as designed. You do sync your contacts, correct?
Do you backup to iTunes or iCloud?

  • How can I retrieve all the CONTACTS that were deleted after  the sync of iphone to Mac?

After I backed up my iphone onto my Mac computer I was asked If I wanted to save the photos from my phone. I said DELETE.   Then I discovered  my address and phone numbers (CONTACTS) went empty in the iphone.   How can I reverse my DELETE and get these Contacts back to the iphone?

iCloud maintains a database of your contacts which it uses to keep all devices and computers connected to the same iCloud account in sync.  If you ever wonder whether you've lost contacts because they do not appear on a device or mac/pc, you should log into iCloud.com using a computer's browser and go to the Contacts page.  You should find your contacts there.  If there but they do not appear on your device, see below for instructions.  If they are not there, then for one reason or another, they have been deleted.  See below for options if this is the case.
Getting contacts from iCloud to a device.
Your device/computer needs to be connected to the proper account in iCloud and have contacts set for syncing.  Go to Settings>iCloud (for a device) or System Preferences>iCloud (for a mac - can't help you with a PC, but hopefully you'll know where to go).  Be sure iCloud is turn on and that you have the right account.  If you need to change the account, scroll to bottom of screen (device) and tap Delete Account.  Find a similar button on a mac.  This will not delete data from iCloud, it only disconnects the device/mac from the current account.  Then enter ID/password for the correct account.  Next, be sure Contacts is turned on.  [If it has been turned on, try turning off and then back on.  If still not working, disconnect from iCloud and connect again.]  You should get your contacts back.
    Contacts are gone from icloud.com.
Then they have been deleted.  There are many reasons for this.  One possibility is that someone else is using the same iCloud account (family member, etc.) and they deleted contacts, thinking they did want them on THEIR device.  How to get them back?  Unfortunately, an iCloud backup does not include any of the sync databases, like contacts, notes, calendars, reminders, etc. because the data is already stored in these databases.  Your only hope for restoring the data is if you had that data on a computer (like a mac's Contacts, Calendars, etc.) and that data was backed up using whatever backup software you typically use (e.g. Time Machine on a mac).  Just restore the data files back to the computer.  Other than that, I'm afraid the data is gone.

  • How can I retrieve Apps and Contacts (possibly photos) from deleted iPhone?

Hi everyone, my wife asked me to upload an album from her iTunes onto her iPhone 4S this morning as she is going on a long walk. However I did not realise that she has never plugged her phone into her laptop since she got it. I assumed that she had done this at least once since getting her phone.
So when the phone was not recognised and prompted the question (set up as new phone) I clicked "no" and as a result her phone automatically synced to her old iPhone 3s back up from iTunes...
I have searched a lot but I am resided to the fact that I have wiped all her photos from her new phone, and all contacts she has made over the last year and any of the Apps she may have downloaded.
Is there any way of retrieving the information without having an iTunes back up?
I am going to try software from Wondershare when she gets back but can anyone suggest any other alternatives?
Thank you for your help on this..

By chance, was the phone backed up on iCloud? Was she using PhotoStream on iCloud? If not, the chances of revovering the data are slim.
As to the wondershare  software, I wouldn't know. But if you have lost the data, trying it wouldn't hurt. You will be no worse off than you are now (except the price of the software).

  • How Do I Get My Exchange Contacts and Calendar to load onto my Q10?

I have had my Q10 nearly 24 hours now and it has taken a large chunk on this time trying to set it up so that it can replace my old BlackBerry.
The livelink transfer didnt work and the SIM card is a different size. So I am having to build the phone from scratch.
I have got my email working, 2 exchange accounts.
However, I cannot get my contacts or calendar to transfer to the Q10. I use activesync for my exchange emails, which works fine for the email but does not transfer the contacts or calendar.
    Anyone know why this is?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

well, if you want activesync on your Z10, you simply have to configure an ActiveSync account on your Z10, with the proper parameters (usually less than 5 minutes to set everything up).
the proper parameters must be asked by you to your email provider (in your case, it seems that it is your ISP).

  • How can i retrieve my lost contacts after upgrading to iOS 5.1.1

I just upgraded to to the iOS 5.1.1 and a few hours later all my contacts disappeared.  I tried to restore through iTunes but that did not work.  - UPDATE as I am writing this.  I got through to Apple Customer Service and because I had selected the option to backup to my computer (iMac 10.5.8) it was actually saving all my contacts to my "address book" app.  Since I never used that application I didn't even think to look there.  I just re-synced my contacts selecting "all contacts" and I was back in business.

I'm not sure I understand what you're asking, but I'll try to answer!    You can either connect to iTunes and set up and activate there, or you can also use the setup assistant to set up your iPhone.  As far as carrier activation, you'll have to follow the protocol that your carrier uses.  Either switch SIM card, or call the number they use to allow device activation.  Is that what you were wanting to know?

  • How can I retrieve my phone contacts? I lost them when I upgraded to IOS 8.2

I upgraded to IOS 8.2 and now have only Facebook Contacts on my phone. All other phone contacts are gone. And, I can no longer "add" new contacts as the + sign no longer appears in the top right corner of my contact screen. Need advice and help. Apple Support is closed right now.

  • HT204053 how do i copy all my exchange contacts to icloud.

How do i copy my exchange contacts from my iphone to icloud

    Hi,
This has been an issue for a lot of people lately, including myself.
I personally prefer to have my contacts saved on apple's servers rather than microsoft's especially since I'm now using several apple devices.
I couldn't find any answers to this on the web, except exporting-importing manually each contact.
Worked that out by myself for a few hours and found this way of doing it "automatically" without the need of a computer, your iDevice will suffice!
Step 1 : have your windows live/exchange contacts synced on the idevice.
Step 2 : Install the Free application "My Contacts Backup" from the AppStore and make a backup.
Step 3 : Send the backup file to yourself via Email.
Step 4 : Make sure that the default contacts account on your iDevice is iCloud in "Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calender - Contacts - default account"
Step 5 : Open the backup file in the mail from the idevice and install all contacts.
Step 6 : Disable the contacts sync function of Exchange in "Settings - Mail, Contacts, Calender - your Echange Account name" if you do not want to have both in your contacts list. This will automatically delete all contacts on the iDevice from your Exchange account.
And Voila! Hope this will help a lot of people
