How do i retrieve my missing itunes playlist?

It just disapeared when i plugged in my ipod.. i can still see it on my ipod but if i synch it im afraid it will disapear... but i can't see it on my playlists when i open itunes.. how do i retrieve this playlist??

I believe that my calendar is in iCloud, but I do not know how to check that out.  I am rather uneducated on the use of the iphone.  I went to Apple for help when I had just purchased my iphone.  There were supposed to be 8 people in a group, but the leader let many more join and ask questions.  I found the help useless.
My calendar should be synced to my icloud, but I am unsure if it is.  I always receive reminders on my iphone for information on my gmail calendar daily events.  I have always assumed that it is coming from the cloud.
The device had been charged early that morning before I went onto my iphone.
I tried to check for information on icloud, but it seems that I made a mistake on my entry of my birthdate.
At this stage of the day, I think it best to wait until the morning and call Apple Care.
Please supply any further information that you can get in response.

I have given up on my dell and bought an iMac 27"... Now how do I transfer my dell iTunes playlists from my dell to my iMac, as they are showing on the iMac when I plug in my iPod but it's not allowing to me to play them as they are shaded? I have also separately transferred all my music via my external drive from my dell to my iMac which is showing in iTunes but won't upload to my iPod... Just to confuse you even more my AppleTV which is linked to my log in email address and home sharing is showing and playing all the playlists I want to see on my iMac... Phew that was exhausting hope you understand and can help me:-)

You may have transferred all your songs, but your iPad is seeing the library as a different entity.

  • How can I transfer my old iTunes (playlists and all) from the hard drive of my old dead computer to the iTunes of my new one?

So my old PC died before I managed to back up my iTunes library onto DVDs. I do however have the hard drive from the old PC with all the program files, files and folders on. I also have the iPhone 4, which has my top rated playlist on but that only holds about 20% of my entire music collection on.
Is it possible to somehow find all my old iTunes music, videos, playlists, podcasts etc and transfer it into the iTunes on the new PC without losing anything?
    Thanks for reading :-)

  • How do I retrieve all the itunes I paid for on my replacement phone, I never backed up my previous one before it broke

How do I retrieve all the songs I paid for through itunes on my 3gs, I never backed them up on my previous phone before it broke ?

You need to download and install iTunes 10.3 on your desktop. Log in to your iTunes account.
On the left side of iTunes is an entry under STORE called "Purchased". Click on it, and a list of everything you bought opens in the right window. There's a button at bottom left  "Download Previous Purchases".
Note: Until iTunes 10.3 and iCloud beta you could not do this. You would NOT have been able to get your music back. Please use iTunes to back up your iPhone, or you risk losing everything.
And to anticipate a possible response: the pre-10.3 situation was NOT an Apple decision - ti was because the music corporations would not allow re-downloading.

  • I deleted my text messages from my iphone 4s by accident. How do i retrieve them through itunes?

HELP!! I deleted my text messages from my iphone 4s. I need to know how to retrieve them through itunes! I have tried alot of things and nothing is working!! Thank YOu

If you had these messages on your phone when you last synced and haven't synced your phone again since losing them, the messages will be contained in the backup created when you synced (unless you are backing up your phone to iCloud).  If you restore your phone to this backup it will return your messages to your phone.  (If you have already syned again since losing them then you have already overwritten your earlier backup and your messages are lost.)  Restoring to a backup will revert all data and settings you your phone to those contained in the backup, not just messages.  If you have more recent data on your phone that you want to save you must do this before restoring it from backup.  If you want to restore from backup, do the following:
Without connecting your phone, open iTunes on your computer and go to Preferences.  On the Devices tab check "Prevent...from syncing automatically".
Connect your phone to your computer, right-click on the name of your phone when it appears in iTunes on the left sidebar and select Restore from Backup, choose your most recent backup to restore from.
When complete, you can go back to iTunes>Preferences>Devices and re-enable automatic syncing.

  • How do I move all my itunes playlists from an old Dell desktop to a Dell laptop without losing anything?

My Dell desktop is on its last legs and I need to transfer all itunes playlists from it to my Dell laptop. Please help

Yes I copied the itunes folder. Before I copied it I opened up to see what was in it: album artwork, itunes, itunes media, previous itunes libraries, itunes library extras, itunes library genius, itunes library, itunes music library. After copying and pasting the itunes folder I checked my new laptop and the same files listed above copied over.
When I drill down the itunes folder to the music, it's on my new laptop. When I open itunes and click on playlists, I only have the music that I purchased from itunes. It does not include everything else I loaded into itunes and any other playlists I created.

  • How do I re-install my iTunes Playlist

I updated my iTunes 10.7 to the new and improved iTunes 11, and I hate it. So I deleted it from my laptop and re-installed iTunes 10.7.
However, iTunes 10.7 will not recogize my Playlist, or the back-up Playlist.
Is there a way to re-install my iTunes Playlist, without having to check again the 4000 songs on my Playlist?

iTunes does not store your library on their servers.
You are responsible for backing up your content.
However, You can redownload some iTunes purchases:
Download past purchases - Apple Support
Audiobooks are not available for redownload.

  • How to make sub-categories in iTunes playlists

I have many playlists for separating certain types of music, like most people do.  I was wondering if there is a way to place sub-categories in playlists already made.  For example:
iTunes>Playlists>Recently Added>10 Most Recently Added>5 Most Recently Added.
I would like to be able to view/listen to the originated playlist; i.e. "Recently Added" which contains all the sub-playlists; i.e. "10 Most Recently Added" and "5 Most Recently Added" but also be able to access the sub-playlists within the original playlist and listen to solely the songs within the sub-category.
Basically, is there a way to put a playlist within a playlist without having to use and edit auto-updating smart playlists manually?

You can't make a playlist inside a playlist. You can nest playlists inside of folders and if you click on the folder it will show a summation of all the playlists contained in it.

  • How to save or export your iTunes playlist to re-import for later use?

    How can that be done?

If you copy your entire iTunes folder to the new iMac, (that would include all the database files in the iTunes folder -- not just your music folder), then you should have your playlists in the new library.
