How do I retrieve Notes I lost during iPhone sync?
I synced my iPhone to my Macbook and now all of my OLD notes from my Macbook have been saved over top of the NEW notes that were on my phone. Both my phone and my Macbook mail now have the old versions. Is there any way to retrieve the newer versions that I lost (the ones that were on my phone)?
Really? Because I selected Device, Sync. It only did this with Notes that had the same name as some notes in my mail. It asked which version I wanted to save and despite the fact that I selected the newer versions it still saved the older versions of these particular notes. The rest of my phone is fine. I haven't manually backed up anything.

This happened to me too but it was really all there. Go to your calendar, click on calendar in the upper left hand corner, click on show all calendars, click done in the right upper corner. Everything should show up!!!

I got the new iPhone5 back in Dec, I hooked it up to my computer for the 1st time this wk. It deleted all new data added since Dec (notes,contacts,texts,pics, info added to apps) and reverted back to all my old data (literally uploaded all of my old texts and 1400 old pics and deleted anything new). Photos transferred from your computer via the iTunes sync process remain on your computer.
Photos in the Camera Roll can be imported by your computer as with any other digital camera which is not done with iTunes. With a Mac, this can be done with iPhoto or with the Image Capture application. -

If you have backup of your files, you can get your call history back as long as you sync iPhone with iTunes frequently.
OK, the first thing you are required to do is close the function of "prevent iPhone from syncing automatically." in iTunes, avoiding to sync iPhone again.
Now, connect your iPhone to pc and open iTunes.
iTunes> preferences> devices
All the backup data in iTunes will be displayed.
Then,click the File menu and select Devices > Restore from Back up
your iPhone will restart and you can find them back.
This method only can find back the latest history, to get back the old, you should turn to a third party program for help. -

Restore your iPhone from the last backup you made before you deleted the photos from the iPhone. An iCloud backup (or an iTunes backup) saves the content of the camera roll.

Short version: iTunes will transfer the purchases made from the iTunes Store on your iPhoneh to your computer. It treats all other music and video syncing as a one-way street, to comply with copyright laws (wont sync stuff not purchased through iTunes from your iPhone to your computer). -

You can use the Apple ID and password you use to log into these forums with iCloud if you want, but I'd be inclined to think about it a little first if there is the possibility that you have other ID's in use.

Since new MacBook Pro: iTunes freeze during iPhone sync
Hello
I know that there are already a lot of discussions going on about these but nothing works for me.
MacBook Pro mid 2012:
MacOS 10.8.5 ---> new clean install
iTunes 11.1.1 ---> new clean install
iPhone 3Gs:
iOS 6.1.3 ---> new clean install
The problem:
The problem started after a clean Mountain Lion install on a new MacBook Pro.
Updated all applications an system.
Copied iTunes folder to new MacBook Pro.
Connected iPhone to sync with new MacBook Pro.
And ...
iTunes freeze during iPhone sync for the first time in many years whitout problems.
Some apps in iPhone are partly installed because of freeze.
When i delete them they appear again during next sync and then iTunes freezes again.
What i already have tried:
# Clean iOS install --> again and again
# Recover from older back-up --> again and again
# New user
# New iTunes install
# Delete iTunes preferences and cache
# Delete all apps
# Reset permissions on the user in repair center
# select: "Prevent ..., iPhones, ... from syncing automatically"
---> but when i connect the iPhone it start syncing automatically???
# and so on, and so on
All the rest is working like a beauty!
Please help, getting down and losing al lot of time.
RegardsIt have taken me all day but it's solved!
During last sync on old MacBook Pro the new version of the iBook app was only synced partly.
That's why, when i was trying to sync on my new MacBook Pro, iTunes was freezing during sync.
Once i have synced my iPhone on the old MacBook Pro again, and iBook app was synced complete, this problem was fixed.

Define "deleted phone call." Do you mean recent call listing or voicemail?
In either case, the only way to recover it is to restore a backup which contained call listing or voicemail. If they were not backed up before deleting, it's gone for good. -

I have a bunch of notes on my iPhone in the "on My iPhone" account. To fix the vanishing music problem on my iPhone, the Apple store had me hard restore my iPhone and told me not to restore from backup. I can find how to replace my music, calendars, etc from iTunes, but I can't figure out how to restore my "notes". Since I've been storing a lot of stuff in notes, I need to get the notes back. There is no obvious place in iTunes. There are no notes in my my "notes" app in OS 10.9.
If they were in the "On my iPhone" account, they are gone now. You would have had to sync them to the Notes app on your Mac.
Did you ever do a backup? If so, there are some programs that claim they can extract data from backups, so trying one of those may be worth doing.
